Ive had nothing, but problems with equitas since Ive been going there the past 2 years. Ive had appointments canceled without proper notification, doctors that dont respond back to messages, constantly left on hold forever only to be hung up on or be given a half answered question, Ive been lied to about letters consistanly for surgery since September, lastly one of the therapist made me feel worse then better after our first session.I would not recommend going here. Check out Ohio State they have way better services then this place ever will.

Ive been going here for a few years now.. first I saw Dr. Siefert who was amazing! She moved to a new practice but due to Equitas being close to where I live, I decided to stay and get plugged in with a new provider and they put me on Mike Frosts schedule! He is amazing! I have literally never in my adult life, had a practitioner who is so down to Earth. Best decision I made was to stay.Hes always available to answer any emails usually within a day. Hes called me in emergency meds to prevent me an office visit. He genuinely cares about his patients and doesnt rush office visits! Ive also sent my son over here to establish care and he likes his provider as well( I cant remember her name, but he really liked her)! Also, a little over a year ago, Dr. Braun saw me immediately when I had cut my hand really badly and helped me get the gauze loosened that had started healing into my finger! These are great people! Plus everybody at the pharmacy on the 1st floor from Phillip, Luke, Olivia and Marie is super nice! Great people to work with to manage your health!!

Initial appointment had to be rescheduled a month out because someone went on vacation, it was for August and I had to wait until September, then had my appointment to get a letter towards a future surgery, and was told to check back if I didn’t hear anything after a week. I checked back and the person I had my appointment with went on vacation for 3 WEEKS, but didn’t bother telling any of her patients that were waiting on things from her that she said she’d have ready. So my initial appointment was for August and I didn’t get my letter until the beginning of October. Would not recommend.

When I first started here it was fine, but my provider left and I dont know if its that or whats happening, but since July Ive been trying to schedule follow up appointments and to get my meds refilled. if its been in person, the day of I get a call saying the person I was supposed to see isnt there that day, and if its a telehealth visit, I am just sitting on zoom waiting for a meeting to start that never does. this has happened six times, and the last two virtual visits I did I call to make sure it wasnt an error on my end trying to connect, because how does this happen this much? this final time the receptionist tried to walk me through all the technical aspects, but it was everything I already tried, so I feel like my provider just left me hanging. again. for the sixth time. finally, I was told theyd just have someone call me, that call went right to voicemail for some reason, so I spent the rest of my day trying to call back, and when I finally got through and they forwarded me to the nurses station, the call dropped. the receptionists have always been nice to me, and the pharmacists have always been nice, and I see so many people talking about their kindness, and thats true thats all there, but I need medical assistance from them, and I am not getting it. I give up on equitas. it sucks, because they are suppose to provide very needed health care and I dont know who else to turn to, but its clear they are unable to help me anymore.

They lie and condescend and gatekeep their transgender patients. They made me take spiro 3 months before hrt. When i started hrt they scheduled for 3 months not 2 weeks. They lied about me canceling and getting another dr. They are not LGBTQ+ friendly or atleast not trans friendly.

I was very nervous about my first appointment, but they were very nice from reception to check in then the actual appointment. Everyone was caring and compassionate. They understood my concerns and listened to me and answered all my questions. Thank you so very much to Michael Frost and all the staff I talked to on February 14th 2020. Thank you for providing a safe and comforting place for me and other transgender people. You are amazing and wonderful! Thank you!!!Miranda Allysen Douglas

5/20/19 UpdateBella at the front desk made this last appointment so fun. We need more of her in this world. 10/10 experience.Kat at the front desk is awesome, she makes sure that those whos name hasnt been legally changed yet is hidden and she writes your preferred name by hand. That little extra step she does just shows how much she cares.Aside from the front desk, I see Dr Seifert whos a literal saint. Shes very caring and easy to talk to and Ive had no issues with her or the whole facility. Theyve made getting started on my transition easy and painless. 10/10 recommend. The pharmacy staff is great too, the same guy helps me every time Im there. He happens to be the guy who showed me how to do my own shot. I think his name is Phil, thanks everyone at Equitas.

I you are looking to get a GID or gender disphoria diagnosis from a gender therapist from here and are black or any other minority do not I repeat do not go here... This place uses the BIG PHARMA friendly HARRY BENJAMIN SOC standards of care NOT the significantly less Authoritarian and gatekeepy TOM WADDELL SOC.. Dont waste your time money or tax payer insurance money... Harry Benjamin SOC is a fraud fomented by angry scientifically racist and scientifically homophobic doctors and psychiatrist who are frustrated that homosexuality never passed as a billable and codable mental illness in any DSM version since its original implementation.. This place has been a nightmare from the start. I intially came to them as I had lost my job and urgently needed screening. Their free screening told me to make an appointment. After two appointments at the clinic were not able to identify the problem, I was told that I would need to see a doctor for a paid appointment.I went in for a pap smear and was given forms for the sliding scale fee. I was denied sliding scale due to my previous job. I had lost at the beginning of the month, so they vounted it as income. When they called with my results, they told me I needed another procedure and would need to go to Planned Parenthood as they didnt have a proper lab at Equitas. After I paid the bill in full, I started receiving bills from the lab Equitas used. I called Equitas only to be told there is nothing they can do since I have already been denied financial aid from them. They were very dismissive and claimed they told me that there would be additional bills at time of service. They did not, and I never would have agreed if I had known this would happen.I was seen in August and am still getting them in January. The latest bill is for $888.81 for one single appointment. This will ruin my credit. I would absolutely skip Equitas and go directley to Planned Parenthood next time.
