My glasses got knocked off At the beach in Daytona. I called they would not tell me my prescription. They claim some sort of Hyppa something against state law but that is not accurate. The patient was not put first

I absolutely love this place the staff is so awesome friendly and helpful I am a new patient here and was hoping I picked the right place and I am so happy to have chosen The Eye Place this is my forever optometrist home. Thank you for being so AWESOME.

I have been a patient at the practice for decades and have been satisfied until recently. They have refused to process my insurance claim now that I am on medicare and carrying supplemental insurance. When I lost a contact they refused to get me a replacement unless I came in for an eye exam. Now they are hounding me for payment for a service I didnt want or request and still refuse to bill my supplemental insurance. I will be taken my business elsewhere.

I had never worn contacts before and let the staff know I did try once. They were very understanding and help me realize that contacts are pretty easy to do after a few times. They didnt rush or get upset during the practice. Overall, great experience and wonderful staff. I highly recommend, you wont be disappointed!

Everything goes well except for the front desk response. So rude attitude! .. I have asked query about new patient form and she responded but very rudely. Overall Dr is good and she explained nicely all issues and given enough time. Appreciate it if the front desk should be nice and soft while responding. Deserve five stars but disappointed with the front desk. Thanks

It was my mothers first time visiting The Eye Place and it was a great experience. The staff was professional and friendly. The doctor was knowledgeable, thorough and took the time to explain everything. Our wait time was under 10 minutes. The office was clean and orderly. Best eye Dr. Weve been to since moving to Indiana.

If you want rude service from the minute you hit the door this is the place to go. I judge a business by the way I am treated and the ladies at the front desk are rude. I have been a patient for many years and after the treatment I received today I will never go back. Nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

Contacted their office to ask them if they still take my insurance, VSP. The receptionist who was rude said we should we take a lot of patients with it. Also asked her if my upcoming appointment will be cancelled on August 7th at 3:30pm. She stated she does not know at this time if it will or not since we can only allow ONE Eye Doctor in a day vs the normal staff of Doctors. My husband was told he could not make an appointment at this time due to the COVID rescheduled patients. He is a patient at your facility. My husband is also a diabetic in which he was not able to go to the facility at the time of his yearly exam due to COVID. This is forcing my husband to make the change in his Eye Doctor choices on where he wants to take his business to.

I called to make an appointment on short notice and they were extremely accommodating to my schedule. As soon as I showed up my appointment was on time, I didnt wait even 5 minutes to be taken back. The optometrist who saw me was EXTREMELY friendly and informative. She had wonderful recommendations for me to help relieve some of the issues I was having and offered me samples of different types of contacts to try that may be better for me. She gave me multiple quotes to help me make a cost effective decision that worked for me. I was more than happy when I left and felt like I was given more attention and information than I had been at any previous appointment with any other doctor at any other clinic.

Dr Deak is wonderful and sad she has left the practice. Ruthann Miller is the best! Front desk and scheduling staff are rude. Will mostly like move to another practice because I am tired of being treated rude since this has happened to me several times, most recently today.

My first rating was posted incorrectly. My intent was a 5 star rating. The staff from check-in to check-out was wonderful. I had not visited the new office yet and was thrilled with the new look and feel, from the original office. I appreciated the time Dr. Deak took to ask as many questions as she felt necessary for my care. I highly recommend The Eye Place!

Dr Kelley Deak ROCKS! Ive been to other places and there is simply no comparison. The eye exams were more extensive thus I walked out SEEING much better with the correct contacts. Dr Kelley is warm and friendly like an old friend.

I would recommend this practice to anyone. Extremely thorough eye exam by Dr. Almarales, and all the staff are professional and friendly. I was welcomed and made to feel I was the only person there. A positive experience from the time I entered until the time I left. The new facility is state of the art. Extensive frame selection from which to choose, and the optical staff know what they are doing. Highly recommend!!!!!

Dr. Posey took the time to explain and also show me the current condition of my eyes. I cant ever remember having a more thorough exam from anyone. The equipment in the exam room was the the latest and greatest available. I think everyone will appreciate the professionalism in this practice. The checkout was quick and easy. I havent selected my new glasses yet, but I will definitely buy there based on my initial experience.

I had a GREAT experience at The Eye Place. It was my first visit there, and everyone was nice, and smiling, and polite. It was very refreshing! They got me in on the same day that I called for an appointment, and they were very prompt once I got there. The doctor, the nurse before hand, and the office personnel were all terrific! I would for sure recommend The Eye Place.

I’ve always had quick service and everyone is concerned with helping me and making sure I am happy with my decisions. The doctors always explain what’s going on and answer my questions. The nurses spend time helping me pick out cute frames and don’t mind taking time to give me their opinions.

I would recommend The Eye Place to any one! I had a very good experience after having trouble with my vision for two years. I saw other eye doctors who could not figure out why I had problems with my glasses. I had an exam by Dr Deak. She was very knowledgeable in fixing my problem. I was dizzy when wearing my glasses and we figured out together that my lined bifocal was causing it, when I went to a no line it fixed the problem. My technician that worked me up was great. Her name was Annie, she was very on it in knowing how to answer my questions. She also included my granddaughter by letting her see what she was seeing. So then when Lilly came in for her exam she knew everything that was happening and more willing to complete the different steps in the exam. Cristina who dispensed my glasses was very patient to explain to me the difference and adjustments I would be making in my first no line bifocal. I love my Vera that I got and I would recommend The Eye Place to all my family and friends. You pay a little more but you get what you pay for. They are great for kids and adults! They really focus on making every patients care the most important part of their practice!

We are patients there. It is a place that cares for your eyes and their health. Our doctor is very personable and takes the time to answer our questions. I highly recommend them. I had been going to a large chain style location. They are acceptable for people who have generally healthy eyes and no major problems. The Eye Place cares for our eyes. 5 stars!

They have left me hanging with no contacts and no way to get any... their voicemail said someone would answer the phone Tuesday and Thursday, but still just a recording.. email that is is on the recording is inaccurate.. I will be finding a new eye doctor! I also found that the doctors are friendly but receptionist and girl that fixes frames were extremely rude...

I didnt have to say a long time in the waiting room, the staff was very nice, very helpful. Especially when it come to time to pick up my frames for my glasses. Very patient, took time to match up frames up with my face.

The Eye Place has taken care of my eye health for several years now and each time I make a visit I feel welcomed and as part of their family. All the staff are friendly and accommodating and care about you and your eye health. I especially like the thoroughness of my doctor and the use of the most updated eye care devises to go beyond simple vision testing.

The receptionist was quite rude about moving a SEPTEMBER appt in August. They dont listen to you in the office and push way more expensive products than Ive ever had to get before at any other Eye DR. Overall its a nice facility with some nasty personalities, but hey if thats your thing....

While I really like Dr Posey and the quality of care she has give to me and all of my family over the years of service we will not go back. I purchased glasses and was talked into buying more than our budget could afford. Got a “free” pair for only $1320. Yes two pair for $1320. When they came in I couldn’t see out of the every day pair but perfectly out of the sunglasses. After many attempts of trying to get the office to work with me on the glasses I couldn’t see out of two different staff members admitted the glasses were wrong and should have never been ordered. Agreed to replace so I ordered a cheaper frame this time in hopes of it fitting like the sunglasses and I would be able to see. They offered a $69 refund when the difference in frame was $202. Seriously?!?! Then a month later still no refund and the staff say they know nothing. I will not be back nor will my family and I will discourage anyone from purchasing anything from them! And I continue my fight for them to make this right.

We have been going to Neil for many years. Both my wife and I have received excellent care. My wifes eyes take special treatment (Mono-Vision). The treatment has been excellent and well explained to her. Neil has treated us both after cataract surgery.The front office is very friendly.

Absolutely LOVE the new location off Washington St. Easier to find and excellent parking. The staff is always so friendly and helpful as well. The equipment is up to date and I could not be happier about the option to have a picture taken of my eye with the Optomap machine versus them dilating my eyes. If you are looking for a great eye place in Columbus, The Eye Place is THE place to go.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the technology used for the eye exam was up-to-date and didnt look like something that came from a 1950s movie. The staff and doctors worked with me to get the best price on both a new pair of glasses and new contacts without losing any quality.

Early morning appointment on a Saturday which works very well with my busy schedule. The entire staff are very friendly. The examination was thorough and the Doctor even took the time to show me proper technique in putting in my contacts!I am VERY pleased with my visit and the quality of care and attention I received. I will be returning and my little girl will also be a patient of this facility in the future.

The doctor was more interested in selling frames than check my eyes. She did not explain if my eyes were in a better/worse condition than the previous visit. I looked into some of the frames and figured out that the prices were approximately 2-3 times marked up compared to Amazon. I will never go back to this place

Note: this review isnt about the doctors abilities.I scheduled an appointment and I was on the way to my appointment. I was told 10 minutes before the schedules time that that time slot has already been scheduled. Dont have an online appointment schedulingnsystem if it doesnt coincide with your in-house appointment database.Choosing a different optometrist.

Very good service and attention to detail. Our granddaughter had appointment with mine and Melissa found a wrong diagnosis from a previous doctor and got it fixed up.Will definitely keep going to The Eye Place.

Overall experience was horrible. Im shocked at the prices of everything that they offer. Frames are more than double the price they are at other locations. And the fact that every test to help prevent something or test for anything is a cost also. That is not offering quality care. Also once we werent not going to purchase any frames because they were so expensive then none of the staff help d us or talked to us. Its sad that a doctors office is all about money and not the customers well being. We also arrived 20 minutes before our appointment and were not taken back until 30 minutes after our appointment time. We cancelled my husbands appointment on the way out and have already found somewhere a lot less car salesman and affordable. We will never return or recommend this business

I took my daughter in for the free InfantSee appointment. I had heard about it at the hospital when she was born and decided, why not? We were greeted promptly and the lady at the front desk was very nice. We held conversation until it was time for us to go back about 5-10 minutes later. Both doctors were super nice and knew what they were doing. As my daughter was 9 mo old at the time of the visit it was just a check for a few different eye problems, making sure she was following an object well and eye dilation to check for any problems. That being said, if we were still going to be in the area come time for her next appointment we would still go back, knowing that the doctors are capable and give great service.

Long time patient, last pair of glasses never was right. Been back 3 times in 6 weeks and still problem not solved.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff was rude and acted like they thought they were better than everyone who walked through the door. The woman at the front desk actually walked around with her nose pointed up in the air. The prices were extremely high for everything, not a surprise. The doctor seemed knowledgeable but had the bedside manner of a piece of wood. The only person I liked was the optician who was very friendly. My first and last visit to the Eye Place. I am adding more negative feedback as my experience has gotten worse. I spent over $1,000 on glasses since they do not accept my insurance. I have worn glasses since I was a child and have never waited longer than a week to get new glasses in, usually 3-4 days. Well, Im approaching 2 weeks and theyre in the finishing lab so it will probably be a total of three weeks. You would think after the practice interim manager Terry called me and tried to improve my experience and convince me to come back that they would do everything they could to make things better. My significant other who has been a patient there for years has now decided to never go back as well due to the horrible service and excessive wait for our new glasses. A new development, the optician convinced me to buy the most expensive lens called Trivex because it had superior scratch resistance. Well, my lenses are already scratched despite not being exposed to any sort of abuse. I called about it and yes, they are ordering replacement lenses, but not without the girl in the optical shop becoming defensive when I expressed my displeasure with the product. Her comment that lenses are made in the lab and I am not in the lab I have no control over quality and I really dont deal with the Trivex lenses really sent home the message that they dont care about what they sell you as long as its the most expensive product they have. Shouldnt someone at s higher end optical shop know their products thoroughly?*******update: my glasses needed to be replaced under warranty and they would.put a rush on them since I had so many problems before. Still have not received them and keep getting excuses. I was told they would definitely be here by the end of the week. Nope, not here and no idea when they will be. DO NOT GO HERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!!!!

When I ripped my last set of contacts, I knew it was time to call for an appointment! I called thinking that it would be at least a month until I could get an appointment. I was scheduled for the Tuesday after calling on Thursday! I am so greatful for such a wonderful staff and doctor. I felt that the exam was complete and my vision was explained completely. I am very happy with all of my services and will definately go back for my next appointment.

My child was treated terribly. They didn’t fully explain various testing and procedures. It was a waste of money and time. We will be finding a new eye doctor, preferably someone in a smaller office who takes more concern and time with their patients.

I was a patient of Dr. Woodruffs from the time I was a child until he retired. I then started seeing Dr. Almarales who took over Dr. Woodruffs practice. Therefore, Ive been a patient my entire life!I love the convenience The Eye Place offers. They emailed me a reminder that it was time for my annual eye exam, I was able to schedule it online and they even emailed/called to confirm my appointment. Not to mention they are a less than 5 minute WALK from my workplace.When I arrived I was greeted by a kind receptionist who confirmed my appointment and provided paperwork to update my file. After less than a 5 minute wait, I was taken to the testing room.The young lady that performed the tests was knowledgeable and explained every step. She also cleaned off each piece of equipment before I used it. She asked if I would like the OptoMap (Sp?) test and shared the price but said if I was a Self Pay patient it would be free. She then escorted me to the room where my eye exam would take place.The next woman that came in did some sight testing and was very kind. She gave great instructions and was able to answer any questions I had. Dr. Almarales then came in and performed the eye exam. She explained that there had been no change in my vision and I was good to go. She also reviewed the results of the OptoMap (Sp?) test.Once finished Dr. Almarales provided me with a $50 off flyer for a new pair of sunglasses. Another young lady escorted me to the frame area and helped me pick out all of the Maui Jim sunglasses I wanted to try on. She helped me choose frames and provided me pricing. She then cleaned my current pair of sunglasses, adjusted them and did the same for my new pair.I walked out a happy customer this week! Thanks for a great experience!

Been a customer when they was over on foxpoint and been going to them for 20+ years before it was the eye place, but ever since they moved to Washington Street this place is a joke. My family will never step foot back in that place.

After going to chain store eye doctors, I wanted to step it up and get a more comprehensive exam from someone who wouldnt be working at some completely different location the next time I went in.Once I find a good healthcare provider, I like them to be my regular provider. I found one in Dr. Posey, along with Sarah, who did my initial testing/exam.Both friendly, outgoing and took the time to explain the things that needed to be explained in more detail.Besides regular exams, I plan on getting new glasses here at some point in the near future too.I have VSP insurance and they take this for anyone wondering.

Despite being a regular customer, I had a bad experience with a very rude receptionist. Taking my business somewhere else now.
