This has been my PCP for years, I am a well educated healthcare professional myself with my own letters following my signature but I hope I never see any of this staff again in my life! They showed no empathy, I had a VERY undereducated staff member get hostile with me for being smarter than your average cookie and asking questions about my prescription. I was refused a visit with my PCP and was only able to speak with this staff member that clearly had no clue what she was even talking about. I understand the parameters physicians must follow yet I believe patient advocacy, morals and ethics should be leading any decision making when it comes to my plan of care. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is sued for Malpractice and dishonorable conduct in an ethical situation within the next year. He deserves it and so does the entire staff. Good riddance!

Up until today I really like Dr Lowery’s office. I don’t go to dr until I absolutely have to and today was the day. I got there early after working all night and sat and waited. Gave the nurse that signed me in a summary of what I was needing. I had no idea I would wait to only see a nurse. If I had known this I might would’ve laid out a more detailed presentation on what “I felt” I needed and wanted to do.The front desk should explain your doctor visit will be a Nurse visit and she may talk to you like you’re the idiot.

Dr. Lowery never came in to see me. just the nurse dont know anymore than I did before I went to the office. the nurse just gave medicine. I need diagnosis and to see the doctor

Dr. Lowry is by far the worst doctor I have ever been too. He has zero professionalism. I will never return to his office again. He is not worth a one star rating.

As too often in the past, I really missed getting to see Dr. Lowry himself for my visit, otherwise I was pleased with my visit.

The Golden Triangle area and her people have always been very blessed to have Dr Lowry from day one! Im so blessed he decided to come to Columbus!I have always had the best experience ever with Dr Lowery! I was one of his first patients when he moved next Dr Brooks! We all have benefited beyond our expectations! No matter a persons walk in life Dr Lowry never ceases to give his very best. When the best doesnt seem to be within reach he finds a way to overcome any situation! He is the best ever! He has an awesome staff and in a great area for easy access! I just wish he could do minor non intrusive surgery! Your the best ever Doc!!!

Its always a pleasant experience seeing Dr. Lowry and his staff that always great me with a smile and answer any questions I may have.

The worst front desk manners Ive ever experienced. Dr. Lowry is a great Dr. however, he needs a new staff that isnt here for just a check. People who genuinely care about patients and their needs.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Every time I bring my father here for his scheduled appointment we arrive 5-10 minutes early and we still have to wait over an hour and a half to be seen. It’s ridiculous. If you have an appointment here you better not have anything planned for the rest of the day because you’re going to spend a minimum 3 hours here.

Absolutely HORRIFIC experience today. Got half way through talking with Dr. Lowry giving medical history and information and he got up abruptly and said he wanted to know who the name of the physician/allergist was that I saw in Tupelo. He then never came back and wrote two prescription for allergy medicines which were delivered by an assistant . I had talkedAbout allergies but was there for another matter. When the attendant came in with the prescription I asked where Dr. Lowry was? She replied that he would not be coming back into the room today. He did not listen. He was not interested in treating me at all and I left in tears at the abruptness and apathy he showed. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had, but I’m halfway grateful for it knowing that this is not the man I want to be treated by.

Great doctor and i dont like doctors. Very knowledgeable. Staff OK. They seem to be training. But doc works fast and gets results. Doesnt waste your time.

By far, the worst doctor I’ve ever had. Well, not really had, because I’ve been seen for routine appointments and follow ups at least 8 times and never once have I ever seen or met Dr. Lowery or any doctor for that matter. I have been seen by a nurse practitioner every single time including my new patient appointment. Wait times have never been less than an hour. On top of that, once I get into a room it takes another 30-45 minutes to be seen, just to go over lab work or get a Rx refill. Also, they order unnecessary tests and would not give me an order for a lab required for me to attend school because they didn’t do the test in the office and they “wouldn’t make any money off of it”. This is exactly what I was told. Then there is all this unprofessional proproganda on the walls like “redneck medical terms” and things telling people if they need a narcotic refill they will be drug tested for a certain price. Now, I’m having having a serious allergic reaction to a medication they prescribed and I’ve been siting in the waiting room for an hour. Ridiculous! My wait was shorter at the ER. Don’t waste your time with this clinic.

I had an appointment at a scheduled time and it ended up with me being there until after Dr. Lowry had already left and they were closing the office with me still waiting to be seen. Dr. Lowry has shown a complete dis-regard to his staff, his patients, and a complete incompetence of knowledge in certain areas where most other Internal Medicine doctors are fluent in.The way he prescribes medications that are contradicted by the drug informational sheet,(i.e. telling patients to take 2-3 times the recommended MAXIMUM dosing per day; going against the prescribing info) is careless and could become grounds for a malpractice suit. I have personally ended up in the ER twice because of medical poisoning due to me following the Doctors prescribing method and NOT taking the drug manufacturers prescribing information into consideration.If there were ANY other Internal Medicine doctors that were taking new patients, I wouldnt even bother with Dr. Lowry OR his stuck up faculty!!! Seriously, hiding behind the nurses is a very cowardly way to run a practice. Ive never felt more IN THE WAY than when I go to his practice...

This was the worst experience I have EVER had at a doctors office!The front desk never said hello, just told me to fill out form.I heard a whole conversation about how they suspected someone in the office of stealing money from the cash box , to how they didnt want to be at work.The guy taking my blood pressure was beyond rude!!!!I thought I would be seeing Dr Lowry but I saw his practitioner . I didnt know who she was until I asked her who she was. But she was by far the nicest one in that office which isnt saying much. I felt like she did not understand the issues I was having.Needless to say I NEVER WENT BACK!It makes me wonder if Dr Lowry knows exactly whats going on in his office.

Dont bother making an appointment. They still take walk ins before you regardless of the fact you made an appointment a month prior. And you still have to wait for 2 hours just to get to the back simply for lab results of all things. Now as a nurse myself I find this completely ridiculous. I love Dr. Lowry, when I get to see him! I get to see him maybe every couple of years. Patients appear to get pushed off on MAs, which isnt a bad thing, but everytime a patient comes in this clinic!? There are some things that, no offense, a patient needs to see a doctor about. I appreciate Dr. Lowry giving them this experience but come on. Dr. Lowry is a very intelligent man whom patients want to see so I hope this motivates him to interact more with his patients. But seriously, just be a walk in youll get to the back quicker. And Im typing this as I sit in his office for literally 2 hours and still havent made it to the back yet, and I had an appointment

I’ve had good and bad experiences with this clinic. The appointments I had where I was able to see Dr Lowery were okay he is very intelligent however that’s if you get to see him. Most of the time patients are pushed off to the NP. I was going to this clinic for what I thought was that weight loss program. The NP, Emily she is rude, insensitive, and her attitude is just nasty. I had to stop taking the prescribed weight loss medication due to causing issues with my heart. I stop taking the meds and told the NP that I was choosing to have bariatric surgery I mean I thought from a medical standpoint you wanna do what’s best for the patient. Her whole demeanor and attitude changed and I couldn’t understand why then I thought about it.... the clinic looses money. When I was going for visits or routine follow ups to meet insurance requirements for my bariatric surgery on multiple occasions I heard her outside my exam room door commenting that it was stupid that I was going to spend all this money on labs and so forth. I left the clinic crying that day as it was no reason for her to be rude or disrespectful. Yes I changed doctors and I’m glad I did because they were killing me with the medications and when I asked them to change things they never would just would throw statistics out there if I wanted that I can just google them. My new doctor is absolutely amazing. She is kind, compassionate and of great morale. She also encourages and compliments me on my weight loss journey and makes sure that I’m always at my best health.

The Doctor is capable and educated, his staff on the other hand have zero compassion or morals. This facility likes to quote statistics to you while they degrade and talk down to you. Even the best doctors make mistakes and when this one had my wife on medications that were making her have severe pain we were told my wife was nothing but a pill head who was merely trying to gain access to narcotics. When the truth be told yes she needed something for pain and for the doctor to figure out what was wrong. Neither happened. Once we sought out another doctor he immediately removed her from the meds Lowery prescribed and within a few days her pain was completely gone! They were too busy calling my wife a pill head to see they had made a mistake! So if this is the type of doctor you want on your side he is for you. If you like rude, self-absorbed people then the staff here is for you! In my opinion everyone should stay away, far far away. There are other doctors here in Columbus who treat their patients with the respect they deserve and have staff members that actually know how to deal with customers with manners, compassion, and respect.

I’ve been going to Dr. Lowry’s office for several years, the staff is always friendly and helpful. I was in and out last week in less then an hour!

Front desk could use a lesson in manners but Dr.Lowery is an awesome Dr.

Ever since NPs started seeing patients, and the practice moved to the new office on bluecutt, I have not had a very good experience here. Not helpful at all, does not care to look deeper into problems or history to find the right solution, just wants to push the newest medicine without the patients best interest in mind. None of the medicines worked, one actually counteracted with a current med I was previously taking, which was made known to them..waste of time, and money. Frustrated beyond belief,will not ever go back, would not recommend!

I would rate 0 but it wouldnt let me so I had to rate 1 star. This Doctors office has alot of problems. The doctor wont come in to see you if he can pawn you off on the nurse practitioner. You have to continue to make numerous .calls to get them to call in your meds to your pharmacy.

Front desk people are HORRIBLE ! Dr. Lowry is a great doctor he just needs new staff.

Having a bad experience with another doctor, I tried to change doctors. I couldnt even see Dr. Lower because I was under care of another doctor. So now I cant get any medical care.
