I had a traffic ticket and needed a lawyer, I called Andrew Popplewell to inquire about pricing. After inquiring about his services and getting an initial quote, I hadn’t had any communication from him weeks. When I called back he said something like “sorry, I get a million calls per day.”I then decided to proceed with a more responsive and professional lawyer. When I told Andrew he stated that he had already started working on my case (which was never communicated with me). I was completely unaware, and had no idea, because I hadn’t signed ANY paperwork or payed him anything. He then said, “Just because you found a cheaper lawyer doesn’t mean I work for free.” Which wasn’t true, the second lawyer was the same price. Then he threatened to send me to collections for the work that he had done for me (that I knew nothing about).I initially deleted this review because he messaged me stating that he had received the review and stated “I take great pleasure in sending you to collections” again!Please please please, if you are a person of color or looking for a super responsive lawyer that communicates with you, don’t use this guy! Summer 2019, I was hit by a car while crossing a crosswalk. I was in ICU for a few weeks with a TBI and other injuries then moved to Rusk Rehabilitation for several more weeks to recover and do therapy. I got hurt at work about 3 years ago and I went through a work comp case the first one Ive ever experienced. I was scared to death I had a traumatic brain injury and a Severe spinal cord injury.
