Disappointed and discouraged. Our first visit was lovely with the doctor but speaking to the receptionists since regarding insurance claims and trying to settle things out was horrible. Was told they had no time to be on the phone all day with insurance, which i get but at the same time we spent days gathering info that they were not willing to listen nor discuss and even claimed to be out of network and our insurance says they were not. It was an added stress to an already stressful situation in our life. Wish yhem well and hopr they have better days.

My time was wasted today because they rescheduled because I was 10 minutes late. I don’t care if we were 10 minutes short for evaluation you’re kind of still get the evaluation instead of wasting my time schedule me a month out for reschedule. If I don’t mind that the appointment is going to be 15 minutes short as the mother the neither should you. When my kid had to be out of school to come to this appointment and I could’ve been working. As a single mom misses work really hurts. You wasted my time today and I think that’s terrible customer service. And you guys didn’t even seem to care about my time.

Really cannot rave about this place enough! They are fully approachable, totally invested and the easiest to work with. (There is a pretty huge amount of kids receiving therapies here, so there might be a wait.) Both of my kids attend here and it is making a huge difference!

My son has been going to SL&LC for about 3 months now and it has made a huge difference in his speech. Everyone is prompt and professional. Hillary does an amazing job and my son looks forward to going twice a week. I could be happier.

I’ve had a very negative experience with this office. My doctors said after they sent over my paperwork I’d get a call within two weeks. They sent my paperwork over on the 12th of December. I waited until after Christmas, after New Years. Still no call. I called myself and left a message, no call back, I called again and again. I called my daughter’s pediatrician office to call them, they said they had to leave a message. They finally got ahold of the office manager there and was told that the Speech, language, & learning office didn’t call me because one of therapists had their baby that day...... which would of been a legitimate excuse, if I hadn’t been trying to get ahold of them for a couple weeks at that point. The office manager called me four days later, I missed the call of course, and was told in the message not to call back that day because they were closed and to call the next day. Which I did and again left a message. I finally was fed up with the ridiculous lengths it takes to get in direct contact with someone and had my significant other stop there on his way home from work, to see what was going on. The office manager then called me from only what I assume was home, and booked me an appointment on FEB 12th, and i immediately put it in my calendar, I even wrote what was said and the date in my notebook and repeated back to her a few times. And I go to the appointment and hand my new patient paperwork to someone behind the counter. I wait 40 minutes past my appointment time and knock at the window. And the woman told me it was actually March 12th, that the therapist wasn’t even there today. Although I looked back at my notes and my signifcant other was next to me and heard the same date from the woman(she was on speaker), I feel like after someone took my paperwork and multiple therapists came in and out and saw me through a few patients, should of notified someone that I was still sitting out there.(I know they noticed me because I made eye contact with most of them and my daughter kept getting in their way as they came in and out, also they have a sign in sheet that each therapist signs their name as they take a patient, with my line still blank.....not hard to figure out something is wrong) I am shocked that this is an acceptable process at a medical office, Absolutely disappointed in this office and how it is run.

I truly believe that my son can now talk primarily due to the efforts of Terri Flynn and the Speech, Language & Learning Center. My son is now 12 years old and he has been treated at SLLC weekly since he was 3 years old. He literally could not speak when he was 3 years old. I have seen Terri Flynn go above and beyond in helping my son, who now communicates clearly, attends regular public school in 6th grade, maintains good grades and is an active Boy Scout. Terri assisted my wife and I by giving us the tools to help our son at home, and Terris weekly sessions reinforced those efforts. It was, is, and will continue to be a lot of hard work to help our son just be a normal kid in a regular public school environment. I thank God that we found Terri when we did. I can whole-heartedly recommend her without reservations of any kind!!! Count yourself blessed and fortunate if she is able to work with your child.

Ms Slusser,As the owner of the SLLC, I will do everything in my power to get to the bottom of this problem. We see hundreds of children and have never had this type of comment. I will verify your address with our billing manager to be sure that bills were mailed to the correct address. Patients are never turned over to collections without serval attempts to collect a billing balance by mail. I will also personally take a look a the evaluation report and speak with the therapist who saw your child and will follow up with you by phone within a few days. The SLLC prides itself in our mission to nurture families and children and we daily go out of our way to provide services by extremely talented therapists who are trained in the latest therapeutic approaches. I do wish you had contacted me or someone at the office about this issue, either by phone or by stopping by the office. I am available to you at any time.Thank you! Terri Flynn, SLLC Owner
