While I support the mission of the OFA, it is a horribly run organization. Somehow, some way, they made a generally easygoing person such as myself worked up enough to write this essay length review. Specifically, I had a very terrible encounter with the CAER Program Manager Erika Werne. It seemed as if she had predetermined that she was not going to let me submit my eye exams and was intent on giving me the runaround. This is quite odd, as I was trying to get her to send me an invoice so that I could send funds to the OFA which would literally be used to pay her salary (as if she deserves one in the first place).Throughout the course of our correspondence, Ms. Werne became famous for a total lack of communication on her end. When I would email her after several days had gone by to nicely check on everything, she would list off all sorts of false, nit-picked problems with my submissions. First, she made a big deal of the fact that I was emailing her from a different email than was put on the on the submission form (my dad put his email on the form, and both emails clearly were used by people of the same last name). She also repeatedly claimed that the invoices were being sent to the email listed on the submission form, even though they weren’t. But, how much trouble would it have been to just input the email I was in contact with her for over a week on anyhow? Finally, she did send me an invoice, but it was only one of the four invoices I was expecting. She did not say a word as to why, once again forcing me to send her a polite check-up email. This time she decided to inform me that two of my submission forms were “cut off” (all of the information on them was still viewable) and I would need to rescan and resubmit them. She also claimed that someone else was listed as the owner of one of my dogs in their database, forcing me to search through my filing cabinet and scan the dog’s AKC registration certificate for her. Should that even matter when submitting health exams (they showed the dog had good eyes by the way) in the first place? These so-called ‘problems’ were even more infuriating as she had said absolutely nothing about them until asked.Alas, after doing all of that for her, she did not respond to me for several more days, once again forcing me to send her another check-up email. She responded by again claiming the invoices had been sent to the email on the form (they hadn’t been). As the misery drudged on, it became a daily horror to wake up and see what malarkey Ms. Werne could come up with next. I should at least give her some credit though; she is quite the magician: she managed to turn something that should have taken thirty minutes into a week and a half long ordeal. In short, the OFA is dreadful. While the people I have talked to on the phone were polite, Erika Werne can be condescending and is quite slack. Dealing with the OFA felt worse than having to deal with a bureaucracy such as the Department of Driver Services because of her. If I could give 0 stars, I would.*I also noticed that the manager of the OFA’s Google business page never replies to bad reviews, only good ones. Perhaps this is indicative of the OFA’s lack of commitment to professionalism and absence of a will to improve.

Thank you for existing. I wish everyone that breeds their dogs certify everything their club requires and more!!! Without the OFA many breeds wood be ruined for good. We still need to figure out how we can require OFA testing on ALL dogs that are used for breeding in the USA like other countries do! Thank you OFA for being there for us consciences breeders that certify everything....

The most RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, INCOMPETENT people I have ever come across! The veterinary Clinic has taken OFA quality images of my puppy’s hips and submitted the application to the OFA on 7/23/19. I contacted them on 7/30/19 to find out results. The woman I spoke to had informed me that generally it takes 6 weeks to receive results. I contacted the OFA on 9/3/19 to get results and I was told that they couldn’t find me in the system and hung up one me. I called a second time that day and a woman by the name of heather was so rude and raised her voice at me stating that I need to call my clinic and talk to them about it because it’s not their problem. I proceeded to inform her that it is their problem because we had submitted the application along with the images and I have the proof. She told me to speak to someone else and put me on hold. The next woman answers with an attitude and says “what do you want us to do ma’am?” I asked if she could find my puppy’s documents so that I can get results. She finally found my documents but then said she didn’t receive images. About ten minutes after going back and forth with her she found the images and said they were attached incorrectly. I asked her why didn’t anyone contact me or the clinic after all this time. She had said that she apologized no one called and how they dropped the ball. She also stated that she was going to get the application fee waived for the inconvenience. The same day the clinic had got involved and did their part and told me that it should take a week for results. I contacted the OFA once again on 9/13/19 and was told that no one had even opened the email with the images yet. I was again told that I had to wait another week for results. Today is 9/20/19 and I called once again. I had spoke to a Tracey in which was the most RUDE individual yet. I informed her that I have been getting the runaround on my documents and I haven’t gotten anywhere with them. Tracey says “weeeeell... okay. What do you want me to do?” I said “I want my results”. She asks for my puppy’s name on the application. I spell my last name as many people always spell it incorrectly. She responds “I know how to spell your last name thank you very much” with an attitude. I told her that many people get my last name spelt incorrectly so I was just trying to help. Tracey says “well I can spell I didn’t need it”. After that I was so irritated I asked to speak to someone of authority and how she was rude. She just puts me on hold and a doctor answers. I explain my situation and he says the documents are ready to go and I just need to pay. I informed him that a woman stated that she was going to get the fee waived for my inconvenience. He laughs and says “well you need to pay so if you’re not going to pay I can’t help you”. I don’t even know what to do and who else to contact at the moment because this entire experience is ridiculous and time wasting. Let alone all of the money I’ve payed to get the images taken!!If I could give 0 stars, I would not hesitate!

I work at a small animal hospital in California. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Dealing with the lady who works at this establishment, I can assure you she doesnt at all. When trying to get any help from her was like pulling teeth and she was extremely condescending. Unfortunately my receptionist didnt get her name but just be warned if you are an animal hospital calling for info you might be met with an attitude wielding brick wall.

The largest reference in Orthopedics in the world.Like me, many Brazilian veterinarians use their statistics as a basis for research and orthopedic studies on small animals.
