I am currently in the NACA program to become a homeowner and this process has been very educational for me. I love how attentive and patient my counselor James Brown is with me. The steps that I am going through may be long, but I truly understand why each step is needed. This program is awesome and I recommend it to anyone that wants to purchase a home. You just have to do the work and trust the process!

I was drawn to this lender by the wonderful incentives that are offered with having a mortgage through NACA, no down payment, no closing costs, no fees and below market fixed rate. My counselor Mr. Brown has been wonderful at being thorough and assisting me in this program. There are many lenders out here, but NACA provides you with tools to become more organized, detailed and intentional with your personal finances that will ultimately improve your overall life.

I started the NACA process this year in 2021. They work with you regardless of credit score and other factors. They create an individualized plan that works and is realistic for you. It also makes you re-examine you finances and make sure you are not living outside of your means. So far my experience has been good overall

I’m very disappointed with the process of this program. We signed up in February, had our orientation in April, our first counseling session in July, then the second was scheduled for October and it was all very unnecessarily long. We had proof we had been saving the amount of necessary but we could never go ahold of our representative by any means to show them. Then, he had the nerve to tell us that part of the requirements was writing him a good review of the naca process before we’d hardly started. Therefore, most of the reviews you see giving it 5 stars are not authentic. We were supposedly high priority buyers but you’d never have known it. Almost a year into the program and nothing to show. The benefits are great but not worth the hassle.

I am so Grateful to find out about The NACA program to where they are helping me step by step on the procedure of becoming a Homeowner again. It is well worth the trip on the NACA Journey. My counselor and other counselors work with me along the way. I really enjoyed the free classes to help educate me more on keeping my home.

NACA is an amazing program. They work with you based on your income, credit score, etc. Instead of being turned away because of things not being up to par an action plan is put in place for you to succeed. It does take some time and you have to be patient but It’s worth it!

A few people told me about the program I always prolonged it till my co teacher push me to do it, the process is challenging but in a good way it’s helping break bad habits and learning self discipline. But, the workshop was so down to earth and I learned so much. My appointment with my counselor who was very knowledgeable and she seemed so welcoming in helping me to achieve my dream. I’m very grateful for NACA for assisting me and my family accomplish a dream I thought was nearly impossible. Not only is my credit not toa factor to qualify but throughout my process I’ve seen my credit score increase 35 points and I’m definitely more conscious of my spending but more importantly savings. Mrs. Thompson is by far the sweetest person and has gone above and beyond to assist me to better prepare my file for upcoming appointments. Mrs. slater has made herself available for tough situation on many occasions and I never feel like I’m being a bother. This process can be stressful but when you have such a supportive and knowledgeable staff who’s handling your file, you can’t help but feel thankful.

My husband and I started back in 2010. After the initial intake, it seemed like a lot of work so we never followed through. Buying a home was not a priority. In 2017, we tried the process again. We had our first intake where we received our action plan and our list was long. In the middle of everything, a life changing event happened in our lives and we had to pause. Even though we were not in the position to purchase a home, NACA gave us information to start getting prepared. For the next two years we worked on our credit and started to budget. We just completed our workshop on May 22, 2021 and I can say, Now we are ready!

Naca make home buying possible for those that are told your minimum income is impossible. Naca has taught me how to budget and save so far and for that I’m grateful and honored to be in the program. You may hear that the program is tough and you have to do to much, But all your hard work will come together In the end and prepare you for rainy days.

Let’s just say that in the beginning I wanted the process of homeownership to be as simple and quick as picking out an ice cream flavor at Baskin Robbins. But during this Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America NACA process I’ve learned that you have to have discipline and stick with the process. My MC James Brown has been motivating me to keep going and trust the process. I’ve saved more in my life from Shock savings then in my entire adulthood. I had to learn quickly to put my NEEDS before my WANTS and NACA helped with that first hand. Anything worth having is worth saving for and I’m for that reason I’m grateful.

Im still going through the process and it is smooth. Stay on top of documents that are required and participation. As long as you upload in pdf format and put all info into correct headers on the web file login you will not have any trouble and will move through the process with ease. My sister has went through this process and she always speaks about how easy it was. Im able to communicate with my counselor so the time and she is always helpful. Thanks Zandria!. I will definitely recommend NACA to everyone. I would have given all 5 stars but I do not want to mislead anyone because Im still going through the phases to owning my home.

Our intake was today and I can say I feel more positive about the process than what I felt in the past. I have learned patience is a must. We are ready to do the work. I am ready for home ownership.

My wife and I attended a NACA class once before about a year ago and we finally decided to proceed with them. So far everything has been going good. The counselors work with you as well as tips on how to budget. There was a lot of information given in the beginning and a lot to take in, but it’s worth it in the end :-)

A honest review of my NACA Local Office. NACA is a program that helps low/moderate families obtain housing. Our experience with NACA is still ongoing at this point Nov 2020 but we are hopeful to obtain housing in 2021. Our counselor is nice. It has been difficult, detailed and thorough process but we will prevail despite all of that. NACA front office is very quick to answer call which is nice.
