I would highly encourage anyone who is healthy and able to donate blood products. There is always a demand and due to COVID, the demand is even greater. The staff at the Donation Center is always warm and welcoming. If you can, consider donating, it could save a life!

If youre going to give blood at the American Red Cross in Columbia, give here. Their staff does a much better job than the travel staff Ive experienced.

Whether you were there to donate blood for platelets or to have blood drawn for your own surgery they are very quick and efficient and very courteous. There is a lot of available parking spaces and it is better to have an appointment ahead of time so you dont have to wait.

They have a very thorough and well-instructed BLS certification course. I highly recommend taking this course from them.

The American Red Cross sponsored the Columbia Chamber’s Blood, Sweat, and Beers at Steel Hands Brewing along with Co-Sponsors, Shred Monkeys, and Barefoot Outfitters. The service was outstanding from the employees working the blood drive. We were able to save 51 lives from the amount of blood donated, and it was privilege to partner with such a great organization.

I just donated at Columbiana Center Mobile Unit and Alice completed my questionnaire and my donation and she was HORRIBLE! NO customer service skills and just nasty and rude- shame on her. She makes the ARC look bad.
