My first ever surgery and it was better than I ever would have imagined! They took every route possibly to ensure I was in NO pain and communicated everything clearly. Everyone was so friendly. Would give more stars if I could!

The wait for a blood draw was 2 hours before I was even checked in. In the 2 hours I sat in the waiting room nobody wiped the chairs after 120 people went through the waiting area. I saw them clean the desk when you check in but not the waiting room. Bring your wipes. I wont be back due to the waiting room being discussing and trash everywhere.

Grandma was dying and they wouldn’t let me in to see her. i’m out of town and their reasoning is that there has already been two people that have already visited and that i couldn’t give verification that i’m 16. i’m completely stunned i mean i’m never going to be able to see her before she passes because i live so far. i’ll be coming back for her funeral the next time i visit. it’s such a shame i couldn’t see her.

What a mess my outpatient surgery was at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. I’m giving it two stars because my pre op surgery team was really helpful, as well as the anesthesia team and my surgeon. However, my post op team of nurses and care I received was awful! My nurse accidentally discharged me early thinking they were discharging another patient. They were unable to see my chart after doing so, so I was sent home with care instructions that they just guessed on. I asked them to contact my surgeon for discharge information and they would not. I also, went home in severe pain because the nurses after my surgery refused to listen to my requests for simple Ibuprofen instead of the fentanyl they were giving me in an IV that was not helping me at all. I woke in pain and they really seemed to not care. The facility was overbooked with outpatient patients we had to wait three hours longer to even start my surgery. The after care facility seemed dirty. I had to change into my regular clothes in a dirty bathroom. Overall. The aftercare was horrible. The nurses seemed to care very little about how much pain I was in or the fact that they discharged me accidentally too early with no take-home care instructions. Because they did that my recovery has been slower and harder and I have been in a lot of unnecessary pain and nausea because of their mistakes.

I came here to have surgery on my ear. They made me feel welcome and as comfortable as I could be. Thanks a lot for what you did👍🏼😍
