Brandon and Megan are the incredible. They have really helped me over the last 10 or so months. I originally joined because of a crushed disk in my back from 4 years ago. I had somewhat accepted that my mobility was forever changed and begun to accept my new normal. I was missing out on a lot of things. I have several friends in the medical field and they recommended Base 10 to me. I started out with limited mobility and poor overall strength and flexibility. I still have a long way to go, but from where I was to now is vastly improved. I sleep better, have more endurance, and do not decline offers for outdoor activity. I am very thankful and hope that they are around for a very long time

Discovering Base 10 was literally a life-changing experience. I joined when I was in my late 30s. Id always been a runner and thought of myself as pretty fit. But the owner/coaches, Brandon and Megan, helped me to think about fitness in an entirely new way. Through their encouragement - and the extremely well thought-out daily workouts they put together - I got stronger, faster, and more agile. Their workouts also turned me into a faster distance runner even as I was running fewer total miles per week (because I was working out at the gym instead). One year after joining Base 10 I ran my fastest 10k ever. At the same time, I was stronger than ever and had cut down on the injury risk that comes from running lots of miles. It felt nearly miraculous to achieve all those things at once and I owed it all to Base10.Lastly, I want to mention how wonderful the gym community is. Its friendly and supportive. Gym members form real relationships with each other. We encourage each other in the gym and become friends outside of it. There are only a handful of things in life I can recommend without any qualification at all: Base10 is one of them.

There is no limit to the amount of good things I could say about this gym. Before starting training, I considered myself pretty fit. I quickly realized that there were some areas in my fitness that I needed to round out at the end of workout #1. This is the most challenging gym I have ever been to, but also the most rewarding. While the workouts are hard, Brandon, Megan, and the rest of the coaches equip you to safely and correctly complete them at your level, and in the way it will be most beneficial to you. After being here for over a year, I am healthier, nearly injury-free as an endurance runner, and stronger than I have ever been. *Easily* one of the best decisions my husband and I have made after moving back to Columbia.

I’ve been a member at countless other gyms in the past, this is the only gym that I’ve ever stuck with, and I’ve been here for almost 2 years now. I think it’s a combination of the incredible coaching, the multiple classes per day that work with my chaotic schedule and amazing sense of community fostered by the owners. The results I’ve experienced and how great I feel are now just an added bonus. This is the first gym in 10+ years that I’ve ever felt like I was truly a part of and it’s the highlight of my day each time I walk through the door.

Base 10 is the best gym I have ever attended. It’s nothing like a traditional gym and that’s a good thing. Initially I was a little overwhelmed because the programming was so different from anything I had ever done, however the instruction provided by the coaches is amazing. Brandon, Megan and all of the coaches do a phenomenal job explaining all of the exercises while pushing and encouraging everyone at their own individual fitness levels. There is a real sense of community within the gym as well - all of the members are incredibly friendly and supportive of each other. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I am not a gym or fitness person, even though I’ve tried just about everything out there. This is the most creative place I’ve ever been part of. There is so much thought that goes into the workouts and it never gets boring. It is really, really hard. But I appreciate the community that Brandon and Megan have fostered and everyone is in whatever they throw at us together! It’s definitely great for people who love a challenge.

Ive been coming to this gym for 3yrs now. Going and working out at Base 10 is my favorite part of my day!! I try to go 4-5 times a week and it is easier now that they are open 7 days a week. All the coaches are AMAZING! They really care about their members. Ive lived in Cola for 5yrs and at Base 10 is where I have met some of my most favorite people in this town. Its truly a gym family. This year I changed my eating habits (thanks to Coach Megan) and I have managed to lose and keep off 45 lbs this year. I am very grateful for that. By far BEST GYM IN TOWN!!!

A high quality gym with owners who care about their members. All the members are down to earth and varied in fitness levels - you can come here if youve never touched a barbell in your life or you are experienced and looking for a better experience. The coaches will work with you to scale the workouts to accomodate you. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Base 10 for almost a year and a half and the experience has been amazing! I’ve never been a gym rat (honestly, I’ve always been a pretty sedentary desk worker), but Megan and Brandon are an inspiration, and have helped me make amazing gains. Because of Base 10, I dropped 40 pounds and am doing things I never thought possible — handstand push-ups, dozens of chin-ups, and lifts with several hundred pounds on the bar. It’s transformed my life and can do the same for you.

I found this gym when I was looking for some personal training to shake up my exercise routine. I never expected to stay beyond the 8 weeks 1-1, but by the end of those 8-weeks I felt so much stronger and challenged in new ways. A year and a half later, I still go 4-5 x week. I love the varied workouts, the knowledge and encouragement of the trainers, the other people at the gym who make it so fun. All ages and fitness levels work out here. The workouts are scaled so everyone can be successful and challenged individually.

I dont even have words to express how much I love this gym. I am an overweight, middle-aged woman who, honestly, doesnt really like to exercise, but Base 10 is one of my most favorite places in town. Brandon and Megan have built such a supportive and friendly community and they craft workouts that will challenge you, invigorate you, exhaust you, and empower you. Brandon and Megan have helped me so much. I had a pretty bad accident and was unable to even walk without struggling for a couple months. This was especially difficult because I was accustomed to regular long distance running. When I tried to slowly get back to running on my own, I became so frustrated with the pain and loss of strength, I decided I needed help.They offered me personal training and considered my limitations while pushing me to the perfect level to challenge me. I just ran my first 5k. While this isn’t the long distance I used to run, I am getting there. On top of being good at what they do, they are incredibly kind and patient and have built a healthy community where everyone feels welcomed.

Brandon, Megan and the other coaches have pushed and inspired me. They have helped me do things that I never in a million years would have thought I would be doing. Before I came here, I had been going to a regular gym for a while and not seeing any results due to lack of consistency. I was looking into taking my fitness program up a level, but swore I’d never become “one of those CrossFit people”. I drove by their new location on Rosewood a lot while it was under construction and finally decided to check it out once it was open. Half the battle for me when it comes to going to the gym is convenience and the ability to fit it into my schedule, so the location is perfect.I was initially put off by the price, since I was used to paying ~30 a month at my normal gym. However Brandon, the owner, suggested I come by and meet with him to see what the gym is all about. Even before becoming a member, I felt welcome and everyone at the gym was friendly even though I was just checking the place out. I was expecting to see a bunch of super fit people, but there’s a wide variety of ages and fitness levels that come to this gym. Brandon explained their process in depth and put no pressure on me to commit. I was so impressed though, that I put down my deposit on the personal training a month in advance (this was in December, so I started at the gym after the holidays).Now, less than a year later, I have completed around 100 workouts at Base 10. I went from barely going to the gym to going almost every day they offer classes at Base 10. I enjoy doing something different every day and the structure of the workouts; I was really amazed how a 15 minute workout could give me better results than an hour long workout at my previous gym. Pushing myself to physically here has helped me to push myself in different areas of my life outside of the gym.Overall; if you are looking to change up your fitness regime and improve yourself, I highly suggest you check this place out. You cannot put a price on your health, and this gym will help you reach your best health no matter your age or fitness level.

Got an email this morning reminding me that today is my one year anniversary at Base 10. My husband talked me into joining last year but I was very hesitant at first because it felt like a big commitment, both financially and time-wise. My schedule fluctuates week to week and I was worried I wouldnt be able to go as often as I wanted to really get my money out of it. Well, here I am a year later and I make the time to go because I enjoy it that much. Theyve also added weekend classes which has been very helpful in case I cant make it one or two days during the week. Ive been working out for years at typical gyms and while I still enjoy that on occasion, these workouts are unlike any that Ive done before. Brandon and Megan really put thought into programming the workouts and I love it because it forces you to do something that you wouldnt do on your own (like burpees, rowing, push-ups, running..). The coaches are really good at challenging and pushing you to do more than you think youre even capable of. Thanks Brandon, Megan, Alex, Misty, and Holden for all that you do! Base 10 is really a phenomenal gym. Ive bounced around and been to other crossfit-type gyms in Columbia and can say without any reservations that Base 10 is the best Ive been to. With other gyms Ive really hated for there to only be one version of the workout that is targeted to elite members while everyone else is left to scale things on their own. The workouts at Base 10 are challenging but also thoughtfully scaled to accommodate different fitness levels. I am generally not that concerned with the gym having a community feel to it, but I can honestly say that Base 10 does a great job of making it feel like a community without feeling like a cult, and I go more often because of it...which is the whole point. Great gym!

Before moving to Columbia I researched the top gyms in the area. After meeting with Brandon (owner) at Base 10 Method I decided to join and I have not been disappointed. Six months in I find myself in the best shape of my life. I have more energy and endurance. I’ve also been able to lose weight, gain muscle mass, and fit into old jeans. The trainers at Base 10 Method are experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly. For someone new to CrossFit, they provided me with excellence training and understood what modifications I would need early on. Base 10 Method also provides education and guidance on nutrition. What I enjoy the most about Base 10 Method are the classes which provide support and competition. I have met many amazing people in the classes. The class participants represent a wide age range and a diversity of body types. So no matter what your age or body composition is, Base 10 Method can work with you. I couldn’t be happier with my choice to join Base 10 Method and I’m looking forward to more improvements in the next 6 months.

This is the best gym I have ever been to. The trainers are amazing and so are the members. I have never felt so welcome anywhere before. The best part is of course the results. The workouts are intense and very difficult, but super addictive. After six months, I have lost 40 pounds, feel strong, and can do stuff I never thought I would be able to do. When I started I was super out of shape, so if I can do this anyone can. If you are looking for great trainers, results, and a group of great people to workout with- then this is the gym for you.

Base 10 is the best gym I have ever attended. I joined with about 10 lbs. of baby weight and was out of shape. Since joining I have lost that baby weight and am stronger than I have ever been! At first, I couldnt even get the clamps on the barbells and didnt know what a snatch was and I have to admit I was really intimidated when I started but those feelings washed away very fast. The atmosphere is so inviting and I have met some pretty amazing people there. My husband is away a lot for his job and with a toddler, a full-time job and graduate studies, going to the gym is something I truly look forward to everyday! I can honestly say that I have never been this committed to my fitness. I am so grateful I made the decision to sign up! The trainers are excellent coaches and people. They have so much patience, knowledge, and take the time to make sure you understand the movements for each workout (and modify if needed). They also care to see that you improve. I joined Base 10 after moving to Columbia for a job and joining this gym has been one of the best things Ive done in this city. The facility is incredible, the programming is solid, but most importantly the people that make up the gym are what bring you back. I have been going to to Base 10 for 3 months now after getting bored at a traditional gym. I wish I started so much sooner! The atmosphere is amazing and the coaches help you every step of the way. The coaches will always make sure you are doing the workout correctly so you get the most out of it and dont hurt yourself. Brandon and Megan have built not only a place where you can achieve unbelievable fitness, but also a community second to none Ive experienced where there is genuine support and camaraderie . The very best gym, run by the very best people. Ive seen huge improvements in my general fitness level and especially in my strength. The workouts are intense and challenge you to become your very best self. The atmosphere is great because the trainers and fellow gym goers are all very welcoming. When I joined Base 10 it was the third crossfit gym I had joined. Its been one of those things where I did not realize what I was missing until I saw what this gym had to offer. By offering beginner, intermediate and advanced versions of the same workouts, they create a fun environment for everyone to workout at the same time, while striving for your own goals. You will never leave this gym feeling like you wasted a single moment that you were here... because the whole time you are here you are either sharing a good laugh or feeling a good burn.

It’s only been a month and change since I started training at this place and I am already seeing tangible results. I play USTA league tennis and the power on my serves has literally doubled. Also my endurance has improved markedly, tonight wasn’t completely wiped out after my match like I used to be pre Base 10. Owners/Trainers Brandon and Megan know their stuff! If you are looking for a New Years gym where you absolutely get top value for your money, Base 10 Method is where you need to go. Small group, big hearts, and SAFE coaching/lifting/movement techniques. Its class-format, and private training is also available. This small business is locally-owned and family-owned and run. You may pay a little bit more than a chain gym, but you will get so, SO MUCH for your money!

I have been going to Base 10 consistently for a year now. My husband joined with me to get me to the gym and guilt me into going. I joined sacred and intimidated with the goal of getting back into shape and losing weight/inches. And I have accomplished that, but something else happened. I dont know why I have finally committed myself going to the gym: the everybody-knows-your-name intimacy of the gym (2-15 people per class), the competition, the ability for me to bring my kids, the way I feel when I dont go, the way I feel when I do, or the marked changes to my psyche and body. Whatever it is, I found it here at Base 10.

I have nothing but nice things to say about this place. Working out here has literally been life-changing. I started out with no sort of athletic background. I was in terrible shape even though I wasnt overweight. I have been going 4-6 times a week for about a year now, and I am absolutely obsessed. It is what I look forward to every day. I NEVER thought I would say that about working out. The gym is like a big family. Everyone is so encouraging and welcoming. They focus a lot on your progress. They measure every workout, and I love looking back on past workouts and lifts and seeing how far I have come. The environment is very competitive, but everyone is still so nice and uplifting. Having that competition everyday pushes me to try my best and not half-ass workouts like I would do if I were by myself. The owners, Brandon and Megan, are amazing. Brandons passion for fitness is so obvious. He takes what he does very seriously and genuinely wants to see people improve. Megan is super friendly and inviting, but shes also probably the toughest trainer in the gym. She doesnt take excuses and she will kick your ass into shape. She has been so inspiring to watch as she got back into shape after having the cutest baby in the world (who you get to hang out with while you work out - extra perk!). Dillion, the other full-time trainer, is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. He is always smiling and making everyone laugh. He treats every single person in the gym like they are his best friend. It doesnt matter who they are. I seriously love this place. I cant imagine not getting to go there every week. Its well worth the money, and thats coming from someone who is super frugal and cheap!

Been going to Base 10 CrossFit for over a year now, and it is by far the best gym experience Ive been to. Ive done the traditional large gyms, and done non-functional workouts, but after finding CrossFit, and specifically Base 10 CrossFit, its changed my entire outlook on fitness and being in shape. The greatest gym experience I have had. I have tried 2 other Crossfit gyms, one in my hometown and one in Columbia, and none have been as great as Base 10. The coaches are not only knowledgeable and friendly, but they care about your progress and are always working to help you be the best you can be -- with no judgment on where you are in your fitness journey. I wasnt confident coming into a Crossfit type workout after not doing one for such a long time, but after a few individual training sessions, I feel ready to workout in a group setting. The group classes are also fun. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone young or old looking for a great experience and to be pushed to your highest potential.

I have now been going to Base10 for almost 3 years, and can honestly say that is has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Ive always played sports and stayed active, but I would never consider myself strong, and being quite small, I didnt think I would ever be able to throw around big(ish) weight. No matter who you are, Megan, Brandon and the rest of the Base10 team will help you reach your goals. They have created the most amazing environment where everyone is welcomed and encouraged. The highlight of my day is getting to go to the gym to have my butt kicked alongside an amazing group of people. These people have become my best friends and who I want to spend all of my time with. I started here about 2 weeks ago, and it has surpassed every expectation I had about CrossFit.I was getting used to working out 45 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week, dreading every second of it. The Quick-Fit workout, which has me in and out in about 30 minutes, pushes me more than I could in 2 hours. The coaches are all outstanding, extremely helpful, and know how to tailor each class to every fitness level, and always make everyone feel comfortable. The workouts are sent out the night before, so I know what ill be doing the next day. They offer hour classes too, and I cant wait to push myself to do those in the near future.No matter what your fitness goal/level is, Base 10 WILL get you where you want to be.

They offer open gym on Saturdays at 11:30am, which means that I get to choose from any of the WODs or techniques to work on. Wow so many challenging WODs to decide from. Check out Base 10 method located on Market Street if you are in Columbia SC and want to feel at home while you are away from your Box.

I started crossfit 2 years ago and was scared to death. Ive been to other boxes and this is by far the coolest and has the best jams. I was 135lbs when i started, all skin and bones...Im currently 170lbs and in the best shape of my life!!!! the trainers are like older siblings, they whip your butt during the workouts but love you afterwards. This place isnt my gym its part of my family!!!!!

This is the only gym I have ever been to that makes me want to work out every week! I have seen great results from their programming (and I love that the classes are all pre-programmed for me). The trainers are very knowledgeable and actually care about your fitness goals/ concerns. They make you feel like you arent just one of a crowd of people they see everyday, but someone they want to see succeed. Also, the facility is top notch! The equipment is always clean. And the bathrooms are amazing!I have been to other gyms (Crossfit and non-Crossfit) in the area. I can say that this one is the best!

Awesome gym! Ive been in Columbia for the summer and I decided to try crossfit for the first time. Previously, my workout routine was a boring/ monotonous chore that I would force myself to do (ie mindlessly doing the elliptical while watching tv) BUT Base 10 has completely changed that for me. Ive loved working out in a group setting (everyone is so welcoming and encouraging) and being challenged every day. Not to mention the trainers really know what they are doing, and the facility is very clean and well kept up. A+!

Brandon, Megan, and Dillon are excellent at knowing just the right way to push people from all walks of life. They are excellent at teaching the fundamentals of crossfit, which prevents injuries and makes crossfit more enjoyable. Ive tried several crossfit gyms in the area, and Base 10 is by far the best gym in the area.
