I reached out to Ms. Harman after a very long inner struggle that ended with coming to the conclusion that i need to seek help from a professional.I have never gone about such and it was everything i could do to make that plunge and pick up the phone. Ms. Harman came off as extremely rude and impatient. It was almost like i was this huge inconvenience to her. She told me that i needed to find somebody else before hanging up. I was in tears and despondent after that and have yet to find a professional that will listen. I understand that everybody has off days but i just felt like this isnt the right profession to let that show through to your patients, espeicially potential new clients that you dont know what their issues are and they are just needing help.

When dealing with people’s mental health, it’s important for a therapist to have their own lives in order. I could tell that a previous one wasn’t the right choice for my family member because she was all over the place. Much different experience here.

It took me a while to work up the courage to seek help but Mrs. Cathy has been a literal life saver. I have recommended her to many people. You will not regret giving her a chance to help you as well.

Before finding Mrs. Cathys Empowering Counseling Services 3 years ago, I often found myself really depressed and aggravated about some issues; past and present, that Ive been struggling to deal with. Let me tell y’all about Cathy Harman. When I say I was at the edge of my cliff, I mean I was so ready to throw in the towel. I was making immense progress with my previous therapist, but was missing something that I would soon find out was the key to the peace that I had always dreamed of. I suffered from multiple Trauma PTSD, depression and frankly the most negative, detrimental mindset. So when my husband referred me to Cathy for EMDR therapy, I was skeptical. Upon my first meeting with Cathy, all the EMDR talk sounded like hogwash. But I can positively say now I don’t know where I would be without Cathy and the EMDR therapy. I am now able to enjoy life to it’s fullest experiences and lack the guilt and shame that haunted all the experiences I avoided. Cathy helped me actualize the better version of Morgan that existed without crippling anxiety and I cannot thank her enough. Not only are her credentials outstanding, her life experiences and empathetic outlook on therapy makes it feel as if you are talking with the most intelligent friend you never had.
