Really enjoyed the pool and lessons. The teacher connects very well with the children.

My husband and I went to check out a membership at Harbison and Ray, their front desk supervisor, was wonderful! She was very friendly, helpful and informative. She made our visit a very good experience.

I enjoyed being back there gor a luncheon. We havent been there for over a year because it was closed.

Went here last Saturday and it was fabulous staff is so nice and friendly only cost $10 to get in if you’re not a member. The hot tub was so great too!!

I dont appreciate the mosquito alarm, it gives me worse migraines due to already getting chronic migraines. I guess you dont want teens hanging around the place at dark, but i live super close and its extremely painful almost disorienting to here making my eardrums feel as though they are bleeding. Mosquito alarms should be removed from rec centers because they are doing more harm than good.

The Summer Sports Camp is horrible! My son was violently attacked by an older child while three camp counselors were in the room and no one stopped it from happening. In a span of two days, my son has experienced racism and violence; all while attending what was supposed to be a safe and fun sports camp. Whatever you do, please do not send your child to this place!!!

Fortunately I get a free membership here. Because the fees are definitely NOT worth it. The recently closed for a week for renovations. According to the signs that was posted on the door leading up to the renovation dates. They are re opened and nothing has changed. The pool is very mediocre. 3/4 of the pool has been roped off for lanes, and the green swim area is always full of kids roughhousing. So a relaxing float is always out of the question. Then there is a very small spa area that really isnt moderated like it should be. Plus, apparently the pool area closes a full 30 minutes earlier than the closing time posted online. It that’s not mentioned anywhere. It wasn’t until I was about to step into the pool that I was told that.

I have been a member for a very long time and use the pool the most. I have seen that pool and the life guard staff go through many changes and without a doubt, they have the best staff they have ever had. Ben and Zach and their team keep that pool going while making us feel like we are part of the pool family. Great job!!!

The Aikido classes are a joke. You are better off renting a Steven Seagal movie.

Great machines and free weights. Pool and hot tub is nice. Wish the sauna was working.

Have lived in the community for years, and the Rec center is great. While it leaves a bit to be desired in terms of lifting/weight room facilities, the pool, basketball courts and other facilities are fantastic. The staff is kind and knowledgeable! They open early but wish they stayed open a bit later. Great place!

Wonderful organization. Helpful professional staff. Level of order and cleanliness impressive for public institution. Worked out at many gyms, this place is unique gem in a economically diverse neighborhood. I come weekly.

Friendly staff. The people are great. Gives off a family feel, The cardio room is never full. Theres never a wait for a machine. Goood, solid equipment youd find in any high-end gym. Also, weight room, pools, the trails are amazing.

We are new to the area. So, ,I thought I would give this place a try. I love these guys! They make you feel welcome every time you go. Like you are becoming part of one big healthy, happy family!

This review is to shed light on the outstanding support a friend of mine received during a recent incident that occurred at this recreation center’s summer sports camp. Please understand that this review is not meant to take any thing away from anyone else’s opinion or beliefs. I am simply offering insight from a different side.Recently, my friend’s autistic child was allegedly involved in an incident involving another camper getting hurt. The camper had what appeared to be red marks on one side of his neck. Obviously I can’t say what happened to the camper because i was not present. However, what I can say is that my friend’s son is one of the most loving kids I have ever met. And although he has certain struggles due to his autism, I can assure you that he would never intentionally harm, hurt, or attack anyone.This is his second summer with the camp, and I can say first hand how he was so excited to return to the camp this year when I spoke with him!! Especially the staff!! Particularly mentioning Coach Ced and Coach K if I’m correct! Even though he is slightly different from other kids the staff at this facility has shown him nothing but true kindness and equality!!! They treat him no better or no worse than other children, which is something he will learn to appreciate when he gets older.After this incident occurred, his mother informed me that he was less than enthused about returning to camp. When she spoke with one of the counselor about it, she offered to have one of his favorite coaches speak with him to get him encouraged again.With counselors, coaches, and staff members like this, this little boy is able to enjoy his summers! It is unfortunate about the other camper, and the way that this is being handled could have been a bit more tasteful. However, I wish them well and hope they receive ACCURATE closure.In closing, the staff at HREC are phenomenal and appreciated!!! Keep doing what your doing!!!!

The pool is still very dirty. Like they really just need to empty all the water out do a genuine cleaning and put in fresh water. The womens locker room needs a good pressure washing walls and floors...its like years worth of dust and dirt caked up on the floors. The sauna needs a good cleaning disinfectant because it literally smells like stinky feet.

This place is a joke!! Their employees dont watch the children and let them do whatever they want to... which in the end causes other children to get hurt badly, and do you think they care??! Nope they lie and brush it off, but camera footage shows more. This is not the end of this! Our community is outraged and will not allow this to keep happening!!

They will not follow the schedule for the pool, every Monday and Thursday they have only one lap lane (6:15 PM to 7:15 PM) because of AEROBICS, it was not published on the pool schedule, AEROBICS coach talks to much when i questioned about the pool schedule and he was forcing me to quit the lane.....most of the days SWIM team will occupy the pool between 4:30 and 6:15 and during this time they will have only one or two lap lane so it is very difficult to get lap lane. it is very difficult to get a lap lane during the evening hours.

Thank you to the staff on Saturday. Got to the center at 8 a.m. The cardio room was cool and all TVs were on. It was great to walk in and everything was ready!

Its great! 25 meter pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym, cardio room, basketball, tennis, classes, etc.
