My mom made the decision to move into independent living. After researching many places, we chose Lenoir Woods. The residents are very welcoming, numerous fun activities are available, and three restaurants provide delicious, nutritious food. I highly recommend Lenoir Woods!

We recently became independent living residents in a Village Home which in our case is a two bedroom two bath ranch approx 1,300 sq ft. We just love it. Everyone we worked with during our transition period was extremely helpful especially our Senior Living Counselor Kim Carson whose skill at making good things happen for us was amazing.

I chose Lenoir because my parents lived on Lemmon Drive during the 90s and my mother lived in the Manor after a major stroke and eventually died in the nursing facility in the 2005s. I always appreciated how well they took care of both my parents. They also allowed for me to have my dog.. These two reasons among other reasons made it easy for me to choose Lenoir.

Moving to Lenoir Woods was the right decision at the right time for us. We chose Lenoir Woods because of the multiple levels of care (independent living, assisted living, short-term care and rehab, skilled nursing, and a memory wing. However, we found so much more. The leadership and staff are skilled and very caring from the director down to the lowest paid staff. Residents are a big family, enjoying and caring for each other. Dont come here to retire. Come here to live life to the fullest that is possible for you from out-of-town trips or plays or to bingo.

After about 15 months at Lenoir Woods we are feeling quite at home. We appreciate very much the quality of the staff in all positions. They seem to be intent on our well-being. Friendly and helpful. Some even go out of their way to help meet our needs. I enjoy the smiles, the little hugs and how many of them can call us by name. Our apartment is very comfortable and we feel that whatever we need to take care of our living space is readily available. The food is very good, the many activities are varied and very informative and interesting, and there is so much available to help us stay fit physically, spiritually and mentally. And finally, the residents have become our friends and family. Caring, friendly and supportive and present when we are celebrating something wonderful or struggling with difficulties. Thanks for providing a good place to spend these special years of our life.James and Marie

The entire staff was wonderful. The best care a person could ever want. Top notch aides, nurses, case workers, as well as office personnel. One of the best kitchens of all the places that I have stayed. The Rehabilitation Staff was wonderful. I cant think of any thing that wasnt truly wonderful. I highly recommend Lenoir Woods to everyone who wants a great place to recover.

I have been at Lenoir Woods Independent Living for almost 2 years and glad I made that decision. This past winter was challenging but my “Lenoir family” was there to help....taking me to Drs, hospital, getting me food and most importantly was taking care of my little buddy Annie, a miniature Schnauzer that loves everybody.Would I make the same decision again.....absolutely, what more could a person want or need.

AFTER THE DEATH OF MY HUSBAND, I WAS VERY LONELY. MOVING TO LENOIR WOODS WAS THE BEST THING THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ME. I HAVE MADE MANY FRIENDS HERE AND THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE TO TALK TO, DINE WITH, PLAY CARDS WITH JUST LIKE A COLLEGE DORM. THE BEST THING IS I DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE FINAL EXAMS LIKE IN COLLEGE!

I can only review what Ive seenIts a very clean facility and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They seem to have top notch care ranging over a variety of needs and services.Ive done work there and would definitely consider them as candidates if I needed to use their services. The maintenance department seems to care about the facilitys condition and from my experience thats always the first thing to be abandoned and overlooked.

I called to get in touch with my sister that works there for a family emergency and the lady working the front desk was very rude and uninformative. Eventually I got in touch with her through other means. This could be a huge issue for other family members of staff if its not addressed.

The REACH rehab of Lenoir Woods changed my family forever. We are now missing my father due to their careless dispensing of medicine. On March 6th 2016 Nurse George and Dr K overdosed my father on percocet. Instead of admitting their mistake and immediately acting responsibly to correct it, they refused to give my father the needed narcan to reverse the effect and wake him up. He was after much delay taken by ambulance to the ER where they administered the narcan for the overdose and immediately came to. However, due to their delay the damage to his lungs was irreversible and he remained on life support for the next 23 days struggling for air. On Easter Sunday, March 29 2016, my father took his last breath. The facility looks nice and the administration are very friendly but I would never leave my loved ones in their care.

If 0 stars were possible this is what I would rate it. The staff does the absolute bare minimum. Everything they are supposed to do, they dont and make excuses for why they havent done the necessary and basic things to take care of your loved one. Absolutely disturbed and disgusted by the care received here. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONES TO STAY HERE.

Ive been with Lenoir Woods for six months and I have to say this is where I plan to end my career. As with any healthcare facility you will face ups and downs but, the staff here are strong, caring, and will do what it takes to make sure the residents are well cared for, safe, entertained, and most importantly happy. The atmosphere here is very family oriented. The residents and staff become one big family! I love it and wouldnt trade it for anything! Our residents are definitely living life to the fullest!!!Staff wise: There is always someone willing to help you, there is room to grow, and the management staff actually listens and takes every measure to help solve problems. I would recommend it a million times over for both resident and employee!!#TeamLenoir #LenoirWoods❤

What originally drew us to L/W was the several levals of care available, and the faith base community. Since living here, the residents, and the staff, have proven to be beyond our expectations. (I think this is a triblte to the Christian atmosphere fostered by managment.)The other feature we did not totally understand, is the availability of activities. The staff provide ample opportuinties (too many to do them all), and encourage residents to establish additional things to do.I am one who does not enjoy Mr. Fix-it projects. A simple phone call solves any problem that might arise, generally the same day.Upper level managment is easily accessible, and more than willing to assist in any issue which proves outherwise difficult to resolve. This has been the best move we have ever made.Bryan Brown

I am happy to share my thoughts on living at Lenoir Woods. I decided 13 years ago when I returned to the Midwest I would live in Columbia and shortly after that I had a tour of this facility with a friend. I decided right then that Lenoir would be my move to full retirement when I felt the time was right. About eight months ago I was called to look at a home in the Village (I had probably seen 12-14 over the years) and said I would know when the right house would come available that met my needs and that I would want to spend time in. That happened last April of 2017. After I got all moved in over that summer I am so happy with my decision. My life is so much easier now. No more homeowner issues after 40+ years. That in itself is fantastic. If I have any problems with the house..........any problems inside or out I just call maintenance and bingo...........there they are prepared for anything. I believe what has been one of the things I love about Lenoir Woods is the friendliness and caring of all the staff..........from telephone conversations with individuals, assistance in the dining room and grill (the personnel remember your name after just a couple of encounters with you,), always making sure you are taken care of immediately if you are not sure of something, etc. etc. etc. I truly feel safe and secure living here knowing if I need assistance it is just a phone call away....just to answer a question or if I would have an emergency. I have also found the Residents living here are all so friendly. The first week I walked my two dogs around the Village so many people waved to me from their porches and/or stopped me by other walkers to who I was and welcomed me to the community. Where I lived for 13 years prior I never had that many people talk to me that entire time. When the first snow/ice came I woke up to a salted driveway and salt on the walk up to my front door. That was really nice and appreciated. It is so nice to go eat at the grill especially and not have to carry a purse to pay for the meal. All in all I just love the decision I made to come here and make life a whole lot easier. There are plenty of activities to attend..i.e. movies, social hour, trips to various places. The list goes on and on. Ive always said that Lenoir Woods is the best kept secret here in Missouri. Everyone of my friends that have visited me all say I wish there was a Lenoir Woods close to where I live. I do understand why seniors dont want to leave their home turf so to speak but if they would move here they would find immediate friendliness in the residents and staff.
