The program has great potential, but I believe they lack the experience in some areas, my counselor is LMSW fresh out of school probably but, she lacks understanding meaning she not flexible at all. my experience is if they can control you, they want to discharge you and make it look like you was the problem. For Example: I was working in group one day and I didnt make it to in the same week. I saw her very next day everything was ok, a week later she placed me on a behavioral contract instead of addressing the problem last week and moving forward she avoided. So my point that shows that shes not a strong individual because she didnt address the behavior when it happened and secondly she avoided speaking with me, third she pulled her supervisor in on the meeting. That show the lack of experience and that she uncomfortable dealing certain people I believe.I would not recommend this program...

This is a terrific program for anyone looking for a place to start recovery. They have many different times to fit anyones schedule. I definitely recommend this place. They are extremely helpful for the addict and their families.

This Columbia office has done so much for me in regards to recovering from my addiction! They work with alcohol, weed, and opiate addiction, and the group setting really helps to get you to open up and share your personal story about what brought you in. The sessions are 3 hours per day. Not open on weekends, but there is an emergency number to call if you need to speak to someone about an urgent issue or feeling the need to relapse. 🤩🤩🤩🤩

I got penalized for being honest about my feeling. They said that they had concern about my safety and called a police and handcuffed me to a hospital while I insisted not to go to a hospital. It was outrages how they treated their vulnerable patients. I would never ever go back to this place again. I wanted help not locked up in a hospital for no reason. I locked up in an ER room for a day just to speak to an ER doctor to verify that I was ok. The hospital confirmed that I was medically OKAY, which I had been insisting Kolmac I was fine and not need to go to a hospital!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kolmac made my family worried so much and made me missed my work. (While I was in the hospital, my family was not allowed to see me.) For me, Kolmac is NOT a safe please to get a help. Please be aware.

If there is a decision to be made, say between a Friday night Continuing Care group and a Monday night Continuing Care group, and one benefits them more than you, they will do anything they can to convince you its better for you.Mary gave me a choice between the two. On Monday thru Thursday due to my work schedule and traffic I was often late to the IOP. Then my on Fridays I would have one off and the next I will get off work an hour earlier. So I wasnt ever late for them.This was our conversation about scheduling Continuing Care:Mary: I just think Mondays would be better for you.Me: Why?Mary: Because of your schedule for work.Me after re explaining my Friday schedule again: but Friday is better.Mary: well I still just think Mondays would be better for you.Why give an option if youre hell bent choosing for someone? It was like she couldnt hear me or like I was speaking Swahili.

If youre feeling vulnerable and in need of a safe place to get help, stay far away from this place-unless you can be sure what staff will be working with you.
