My first time coming here, everyone that works there is absolutely great. I took my 1 year old in and they helped ease my mind and pick out the perfect pair of baby glasses for him! We will continue to take our sweet baby here. Definitely recommend!

Lobby was not inviting (probably result of COVID-19) but the staff and doctor were warm, professional and knowledgeable. Way better experience than I anticipated for my sons first eye exam.

Everyone was very friendly and ready to help in any way they could. They were very thorough. This location also sees adults which is a huge plus.

The actual Dr. Was great, but the staff... not so much. For being a place specifically for kids, the staff doesnt seem to have much patience, or understanding for kids with different needs.

The whole staff was so caring and patient. My daughter is three and they were so great with her. Will def. Recommend to everyone!

Never had any issues here, been to a few different locations since i was 15, still visiting at 20 and very pleased with this location. Kind, professional and personable staff that makes the whole experience much more comfortable. Great place to bring your kids.

Dental is very bad. They broke my babies tooth and then said that he had a very bad cavity when the previous visit everything was good... go to another place! They also put filings when they didnt had to. I went to a different dentist and they said that this clinic things like this happened very often. Be careful!!!!

My daughter had a rough time at first but when she saw Doctor Laurie Thompson it was absolutely amazing to say the least!!! She explained everything to my daughter during the process which made her comfortable and explained to me exactly what was going on with her vision. I highly recommend this vision center for any of your child’s needs!!!!

Awesome doctor. Even threw my wife a check up in while we were there to see why her eye was irritated.

I made an appointment at 11:30am. I am still here sitting and waiting to be taken back. It’s 12:40pm. My appointment was at 11:30 not 1. Then they proceeded to let someone who got there 45 minutes after me into the back. I’m not sure what this places problem is but I don’t recommend you come here if you have a busy schedule. If you’re willing to wait almost and hour and a half after your scheduled appointment then this place is for you!!!

I had a very VERY great experience the Optometrist was awesome and the rest of the staff two thumbs 👍 up is kind and courteous I recommend this location for sure the one on fountain and circle ; )

After a terrible experience with ABBA eye care forgetting our appointment , they got me in same day and got my sons glasses done in 3 days. Staff was nice as well.

Honestly, I would definitely still go back to this place because theyre great at what they do and I think the one bad experience was just with that doctor. Ive been going here for over 10 years so I dont think he works there anymore but I wasnt old enough to leave a review back then. Everything is so much better now and everyone is super nice and helpful!

Went for an annual eye check up and was greeted quickly & very professionally. Not only did they help get me to see the doctor in a quickly matter but they also made me feel comfortable. Maritza was very nice and she made me feel like I cared. She also complimented me which was a plus. Ana was also very nice and she helped me with picking out my glasses. Dr Thompson was very nice and professional, she even gave me some advice for my next visit. I would recommend to anyone.

Dr. Thompson is so kind and knowledgeable! AND She doesn’t mind taking the time to explain anything and everything about the eye exam process. She is super quick and all three of my kids (ages 2-8) love her and all the staff! Our whole family has been going to their office for over three years and we absolutely love it there. We even moved across town and it’s more than worth the drive!

I love Dr. Thompson, the staff is very friendly and understanding. All of us were scheduled at the same time but I had to cancel one of my son’s appointment, (he had to go to a class for college credits for high school), anyway they gladly rescheduled his appointment and still saw the rest of us. Dr. Thompson is phenomenal and so is the rest of the staff. Dr. Thompson was extremely thorough and she took the time to explain everything in depth, she also discussed lifestyle changes we can make the health of our sons eyes. I am very grateful we found this practice!

I went to get my eyes examined and it was a great experience. There wasnt any wait time in the waiting room, the doctor was very knowledgeable, funny and very light-hearted. All three ladies at the front desk... Nicole, Maritza and Anna were awesome.They were all very helpful, they were patient and when I was having problems picking out which glasses I wanted, they all put their efforts into getting me the best pair that best fit me. It was just a great experience.. its my third time going and I plan to go back in the future.Thank you

Called me about 5 times to set up my daughters annual exam, and I finally booked. If you don’t answer their call the day before to remind you, they will cancel your appointment (with no notice or email). They completely wasted my time, and honestly, we’re incredibly rude.

If you want A great optometrist, try ACADEMY Kids Vision. They will take care you of you and your family.

I am very skeptical of trying new places for my kid. But I read the reviews online and i decided to make an appointment. My child and I was given nothing but respect from the second we walked in the door. Front desk staff was great, nurses, and dr. Thompson. Dr. Thompson went above and beyond to make my son know that what she was doing was okay. He would have freaked with all the machines. But he had fun and she made him laugh. I highly recommend this place. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

This by far is the best place I have been. They truly make this feel like a family friendly place. I love that I go in and they remember everything about us.

Always have a great experience here. Kirsty is especially great, but all of the staff are very friendly, welcoming and take the time to listen to you and actually help with anything they can. Also did great with my son who was very scared to get his eyes dilated. Hes perfectly happy to go back again now which is a lot for him. Definitely recommend.

I love this office! Dr. Thompson is awesome! Shes approachable, friendly and has a great sense of humor. She makes my son and I feel comfortable and confident. The staff at this location are professional and cordial. I always get a reminder when its time for a yearly check-up. The selection of frames for kids is good and they have a selection for kids whose parents cannot afford frames. I highly recommend Academy Kids Vision on Fountain & Circle in Colorado Springs.

Outstanding customer service and the optometrist was very knowledgeable.

Everyone was extremely kind and welcoming. My daughter is normally terrified of new people, especially any type of visit involving a doctor but did amazing. She wasn’t afraid and felt comfortable. The office is very inviting for children and decorated beautifully with a toy story theme. We loved it and glad we chose to come here. My only dislike was I wish they had a larger selection of glasses for my daughter.

Both of my kids went here for glasses. The doctor is amazing shes super sweet the girls that work up front there amazing theyre super sweet!!! If I was you I would take my kids here definitely. theyll get a very thorough eye exam and a doctor that actually cares.

This office is the best in the city for optometry services. The staff are friendly and take the time to listen to your concerns. They are are ideal for non-English speakers. We have clients go there who speak French, Spanish, and Swahili and they always provide excellent culturally-appropriate service.

Ana greeted us as soon as we walked in and explained exactly what was happening throughout our visit. Dr. Thompson was so kind and very thorough while examining my daughter. Tons of frames to choose from, too!

Probably the most friendly staff I have ever engaged with. I will definitely go back, and offer their services to my friends and family. The doctor herself was just amazing, she engaged with my special needs and educated me on what I could do better as a patient.

I was pleased to get an appointment so quickly and although they were booked fully that day I was seen right at the scheduled time. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. As a sidenote, one of the tech staff was training and I observed how supportive the other employees were to her. It was apparent the employees were in a positive atmosphere, which obviously extended over to the customer experience. I would definitely recommend.

Understaffed so it takes forever to do everything from setting an appointment to waiting on the one doctor that works there, but everyone is nice and professional!

We had a great experience with Doctor Thompson and her staff. I was able to have my eyes examined along with my two daughters. I definitely reccomend this office.

They were wonderful with my daughter.

Took my two year old in earlier this year and it was the first time ever being to an optometrist. They were patient and dealt with his no dont stop it and other thing two year old do when your doing something they are not sure about very well. They dont seem to over book and take there time with us.Also dealt with the potty training phase of life of a toddler well

The entire staff was fantastic with my son. We went in with low expectations as he is autistic with limited verbal communication but they were phenomenal. Ill be going back for sure.

The Dr.s and receptionists here are just amazing! I had an appointment for myself and my two children, a two year old and 7 month old. They were so caring and helpful with everything and treated my children as they would their own. Warmed my heart because I know my kids can be difficult especially getting their eyes checked, I was hesitant to schedule it this early but every employee was ready to help without even being asked. They even took care of my babies while I was getting my check up. Im very thankful and would reccomend Academy kids S. Circle to anyone and everyone. Judgment free zone and the best place to go for your eyes especially if you have kids.

Academy Kids Vision is so fantastic… Taking my kids for eye exams is usually such a hassle. But Academy Kids Vision worked in all five of my kids back to back on one day, and made it an absolute joy! The staff is so sweet and great with kids, the kids actually enjoyed it and had fun with the whole process from start to finish. Dr Thompson is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, and took the time to explain everything in a way I could understand it, including my sons complicated prescription and astigmatism. They helped us pick out frames for my kids that needed glasses, and took care of all the details regarding Medicaid and CHP insurance coverage. I will never take my kids anywhere else!!

My family had the opportunity to visit the office this afternoon and not only did we receive great care, our visit was very enjoyable.

I like the doctor and her staff . They take time in explaining whats going on and will answer any questions you may have. I have no complaints about my any of my visits.

My family 👪 has been going here since our three kids were about 5. Our children are now 21, 21, and 24…… .we still do our annual exams there to this day. Love them !

If I could give more than 5 stars for service I would! We have never been treated anything less than wonderful at every visit. However, today Kirsty went ABOVE and beyond to make sure my sons glasses were the right fit and style. We walked in without an appt. because his other glasses needed to be adjusted and didnt fit him the right way. Kirsty was on an important call but did not make us feel like we were bothering her in anyway. She always addresses us by name and directs all her questions to my son, making him feel like his questions and decisions are important. This is one establishment that does not forget that customers have several choices of where they want to spend their money and do business. You are not just a customer when you are here, you are family! Thank you for all you do!!

My glasses had recently been peeling from their lens, making it a bit difficult to see without noticing the blur. We went in to see if there a possibility of getting the lens to change. With that it could cost around 200-60 dollars to try to fix it, and since our insurances couldnt call pick up the phone we had to deal with a difficult choice of fixing them or leaving them be. Thankfully a lady at the desk named Kirsty, told us she would contact them later during the week and get back on us about the cost. That was a really kind thing for her to do.

The office manager, Kristy, has done nothing but go above and beyond to make sure my family is taken care of and she, and the rest of the office, always has a smile on their face and the willingness to help no matter what so they definitely have a customer for life in me. We had to go to a another eyeglass place on the weekend because it was the only thing available in our schedule... it was such a bad experience that the following Monday we had to go BACK to Academy kids and Kristy literally did everything for us to make up for the bad experience at her competitor... so thank you very much Kristy and Academy Kids!

Academy Kids Vision is outstanding. I walked into their office Wednesday morning with something wrong with my right eye. It was extremely painful and I could barely see. Academy Kids Vision was the 4th optometry center I visited Wednesday seeking treatment. All had other refused to see me on that day. But, Ema, Nichol and Christy were simply outstanding. They extremely compassionate and assured me that Dr. Thompson would take care of my eye. Dr. Thompson saw me immediately even though she had another appointment scheduled at that time. She examined my eye, told me what was wrong and gave me a prescription to fix my eye. Two day later Im 100% better and extremely relieved. Dr. Thompson, Ema, Nichol, and Christy are the most profession and caring vision staff I have every met.

They got my daughter in with a contact issue at the end of the day. Very understanding and Dr. Thompson was wonderful with her.

The only complaint I have is I did an online appointment and when I got to the office they said the appointment was the 24th but the email confirmation I received said my appointment was the 30th at 1pm.

Very helpful and nice environment, I’ve been going here for 6 years already and I’ve never been disrespected or treated badly. Really good service and they are very professional!
