Dr Ryan at Exceptional Care for Women is amazing. She cares so deeply for her patients. Ive been a patient since she came to Colorado Springs 24 years ago to replace Dr. Brown, who delivered my son. I am so thankful for her excellent care. When I grew busy and missed scheduling an appointment after a cancer scare, she sent me registered letters, threatening to fire me as a patient if I did not come in and take care of myself. *laughs* I needed her to remind me that self care matters.Weve been through a lot together, and I highly recommend Dr. Ryan. As to timeliness, the office is almost maniacal about promptness. But there is an exception, and that happens when babies grow close to their delivery times or when a Mom is in crisis and needs her.Knowing how efficient they are in their scheduling (I rarely wait more than five minutes) and having been one of those emergencies, I appreciate her commitment to excellence and loving care. Her office staff are wonderful and her nurses and nurse practitioners share my quirky sense of humor and put me at ease. This is important when you are scared or in great need. Many thanks to Dr. Ryan and her amazing team at Exceptional Care for Women.

I saw Dr Ryan before Google reviews were a thing. Here is my story. I presented with severe right sided pain and a positive pregnancy test. More than once I was told by Dr. Ryan it was nothing and to go home ( 1 office visit, 1 ER visit and at least 2 calls). I finally demanded she fully evaluate me, as the pain was so terrible I was throwing up. She did a quick assessment and again insisted I was fine, but since the ER Dr. is recommending It be treated as an ectopic pregnancy, she agreed to do a scope. She used too small of a laparoscope to remove anything ( still sure it was it was nothing). She found a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and was forced to start over with a larger tool and a new site. In the process she cut my minor epigastic artery and I almost died on the table. Two other surgeons took over and saved my life. Thank you Dr. Pomeranki! I filed a full report to the state and wrote letters per hospital instruction...but never sued as I worked for the hospital that hosted the procedure. Her lack of empathy and professionalism will never be forgiven. 10 years later I suffered a bowel obstruction directly attributed to that ectopic surgery disaster...again almost taking my life. Bottom line- I am appalled she is still practicing medicine!

Dr. Ryan and her team were amazing! I have had 3 children. My first was with another large, OBGYN provider, and had a terrible experience. When I found out we were pregnant again, I was terrified because of my experiences with their staff, my delivery, my son going into the ICU for a week and my recovery.I chose Dr. Ryan because of the small, female only atmosphere. Everyone took time with me, familiarized themselves with my pregnancy, and I never felt like another number on the board to reach a budget. My pregnancy, delivery and postpartum experiences were amazing. I felt supported, cared for, listened to, understood. My husband was invited to be involved in the process. Communication was excellent. I healed quickly and had no issues. The ONLY reason we did not have our 3rd child with Dr. Ryan is that I had moved to Orlando for work. She is still the best OBGYN on the planet in my opinion. You would do yourself, your spouse/partner and your baby the greatest gift in the world by choosing Dr. Ryan and her practice to care for you, your baby and your family in this amazing time of your lives

Awful experience !!! I mean not the clinic in general , just her Diane Ryan. My labor hadn’t been long or difficult. My pregnancy had been totally normal. She did episiotomy without any explanation. Everything was good as they said . I was concentrated on breathing and pushing , and then she suddenly said she needs to cut me !!! Honestly I was in a shock , there was no need to do that !!! Even delivery nursed asked her why she did it ?!! But the answer was super short , smth like babys heart beat is getting down . Which was not the case . I was like 15 minutes pushing the baby . It wasnt 10 or 20 hours . Besides they kept telling me that Im doing a good job , one push and the babys gonna be here . Is it normal ? Im so disappointing ... My recovery was 6 months ! But the stuff in general is super cool and welcoming .

Put on hold forever, every time we called the office regarding billing. Long waits at the office. Doctors did not show interest in the patient and did not seem open to questions. Being our first pregnancy, we received only minimal information during the first 2 visits.
