So happy to have found this crew at Northgate Dental. Staff is so professional but they make you feel sooo relaxed (which is important when visiting any doc or having a procedure). They are efficient and certainly know what they are doing no matter which cubicle you are assigned you are well taken care of! Northgate Dental is the best dentist office I have experienced. Staff is always positive and courteous, and my questions are answered thoroughly. Having Melissa as a hygienist has been a support for me. She always make sure I am comfortable, and provides excellent service. She really cares. My husband and I have been going to Northgate Dental since 2014. I am so thankful to have found such caring and professional people for our dentistry needs. Yes they have a beautiful facility, but we have found so much more than that there. I have always been greeted by a friendly and professional front office staff. Shelly, Tommie, and Marissa are all amazing. Dr. Carter is the absolute best at what he does. He always gives me quality consultation time, is caring and professional, and is thorough in every step with his dentistry skills. He has state-of-the-art equipment and methods. I had such a mess of 30+ year-old fillings that he helped re-construct to the most beautiful smile today. His dental assistant, Bev, helped walk me through long procedure days and cared for me the entire time. Now Im proud to smile and take pictures again. Ive had a couple of emergencies occur, and the staff has called me right back. Dr. Carter has always fit me into his busiest days, and I appreciate that very much in a dentist. He always calls in the evening to check on how Im doing after crown-work procedures. He works very hard for his patients I, without a doubt, would recommend Northgate Dental to anyone I know.

I’ve always faced anxiety when it comes to the dentist, so finding a dentist that will help me overcome the anxiety as well as complete treatment at a high quality level was hard to come by. From my first visit to all the following visits, everyone has been very friendly, understanding and helpful. For some it may come a little more expensive but in all honesty it’s been worth it. They’ve created a dental treatment unique to my needs and continue to help me improve my dental health. I will continue being a client for sure!

I had my first visit at Northgate Dental today with Melissa. I was educated about my periodontal disease and how to treat it. I felt they really cared about my prognosis and gave me the tools to succeed in the treatment.

What a wonderful experience! I will definitely refer family and friends to Northgate Dental. I have bad experiences in the past, but it was the exact opposite here. Dr. Carter and his entire staff are wonderful! Very professional, informative, friendly, and happy to be working there! The facility is beautiful and seemed more like a Spa then a dental office!. I even enjoyed my favorite Netflix show during my procedure!!

Staff is wonderful! I’ve been there for stuff as simple as a cleaning and have had other procedures performed. Every time I’ve been greeted with great service at the front desk and have never had any issues. Marissa at the front desk is extremely helpful and has made setting up my appointments a breeze! I recently had my teeth cleaned here (after not going to a dentist for almost two years) and man, did they do a wonderful job! I was able to complete all of my paperwork online, so when I arrived for my appointment I was almost instantly taken care of. Front desk staff were very polite and offered me coffee/water when I arrived. Melissa performed my cleaning and definitely did an amazing job! After not having a cleaning in two years I was nervous, but she was so gentle and got me out of there so fast! By far the best dental office I’ve ever been to. Both doctors go to extended measures to make sure you are comfortable and truly care about their patients. I’ve always struggled with dental anxiety but I actually look forward to my routine hygiene appointments! The whole team is extraordinary from the front desk to the assistants in the back. I hate to leave negative reviews because so many times its just human error or a bad day that happens to us all when things go awry. But, my experience at Northgate Dental seems wrong to me and heres why.Due to a change in insurance coverage, I need to find a new dentist. So I tried Northgate Dental. In just 6 months from my last dental appointment, they said a cavity developed and some kind of disease that has already compromised the bone! I wondered how this happened in a mere 6 months. And to boot, the dental hygienist communicated these diagnoses to me and gave me the cost estimates for them (over $1,000 after insurance paid) before the doctor could even see me. I decided to get a second opinion at my next dental cleaning with another dentist.I just went for that second opinion and theres no cavity on that tooth, and theres no disease, and my bones are healthy. He showed me why on the X-rays so I could see for myself. I think I found my new dentist!

Updated:I was concerned the day prior to my appointment that my lack of extra funds would be an issue as eventually I need an implant. Met with the DR and all was fine and he understood. He was very nice. My dental hygienist started off being quite lovely but seemed to get very miffed when I didnt want to pay 22 bucks for some special toothpaste. The scheduling gal was a little rude to me when I told her my husband would not make it Monday morning. This was a Thursday, plenty of notice. Finally, I dont mind leaving a review and being requested to- but the offer of 5 bucks is not necessary. :) Please kindly dont bill me for any special items as I was not informed anything special that would be considered an extra cost prior to being done. IF YOU HAVE GREAT INSURANCE & CAN AFFORD A BIT MORE...THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. :)

I went here while I was living in Colorado Springs. I first have to say that the staff is amazing! Very nice and so friendly. Doctor Carter is the best dentist Ive had my whole life. I had a lot of work done, and I mean A LOT (weeks upon weeks of coming in), and I didnt feel a bit of it. I would highly recommend this dentists office to any family or friends.

The staff at Northgate Dental is top notch. Theyre not there just to get you in and out of the seat, they take the time to get to know you, your family and how to best make you comfortable while being at the dentist office. Id had plenty of bad experiences in the past with dentists and my last experience with Northgate Dental getting 7 cavities (yes... 7) filled made me a customer for life because they took the extra time and effort to make sure I was comfortable during the procedure.

The front desk staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. This has absolutely nothing to do with their policy or terms of keeping appointment times or insurance matters. This is a separate issue all together. It has to do with having basic customer service skills and being polite.

Top notch work and service. Literally zero pain during my root canal. Entire staff made sure I was comfortable with all aspects of my visit. I will continue to use their services and recommend all my friends and family do the same.

To the owner response, what are you even talking about? If you dont know who I am then why in your last response did you state you sent me a letter in response to my complaint with your office? Calling customers hillbillys is not good dental office etiquette. The front office staff thought it was okay to be excessively rude to me upon my second visit for no reason. I was not greeted or even looked at when a young blond girl walked over to the counter and dropped a clip board in front of me. Without looking at me or saying hi, she demanded a signature. I was confused, and she looked at me and said I need this signed. This form was not even for me to sign but maybe she would have known that if she had looked at me or greeted me with common courtesy and professionalism. I was taken back by her rudeness and sat down after signing a form I was not even supposed to sign, which later needed to be corrected. I heard whispering among the front desk staff at which point the young blond girl said in a loud and carrying manner, and I quote, I aint afraid of hillbillies. I am assuming due to my recent tooth loss, which is related to an autoimmune disease, which I am sure seemed like a fair insult. Bravo for creativity and meanness coming from a dental office. What an ugly way to behave toward anyone, and for what reason? The lack of professionalism is an embarrassment to the field. All I did was walk through the door to bring my child to an appointment. This is how they treat their customers. I still have no idea what I could have done to deserve that treatment. Then to question why I might be upset with their unprofessionalism and insults is beyond comprehension. I guess I need to be military on a special day to be treated with common courtesy or decency, according to the owners response. Totally beyond acceptable behavior. Owner felt it was beneath him to address my concerns with his staff’s behavior. The front desk staff are some of the worst human beings I have ever met in my life, given their unwarranted ugliness. Clearly they are handpicked by the owner for “quality and consistency.” By their response to my 1-star review, someone is clearly off in left field and out of touch with reality. Totally and completely unprofessional. I had just left a simple one-star review but after that nutty owner response, I felt I needed to explain myself and let others know what I encountered and how horribly humiliating and degrading dealing with this office was. I did try to have a conversation with your office about this treatment and was asked to go somewhere else, which believe me was already on the to do list. I am beyond disgusted. The best dental experience I have ever had. They are so nice and so professional at the same time. They now do same day permanent crowns which is fantastic. It is so nice to not have to worry about wearing temps and then going back in to get the permanent ones in. Dr. Carter and his staff are the best!

I have extreme dental phobia and if it were not for Northgate Dental and their sedation dentistry, I probably would not be able to go to the dentist. We have been going to them for many years now. I feel that they always know the latest in dentistry. Recently I had to have a crown replaced and the new one was made while I waited rather than having a temp crown put on and going back 2 weeks later for the permanent crown. How nice! They know my husband and me and we are not just numbers. They are very kind and patient with me which I really appreciate. They really are the best in every way.

Dr. Carter and his team are truly exceptional! Every visit is a top shelf experience…two thumbs WAY up! Chelsea is one of the best hygienists around…the genuine concern for her patients is immediately evident.

This is the BEST dental office I have ever been too. I have had a bad experience at a different dentist and so I came in very nervous. They are all very kind to me. Didn’t try to do anything that I asked them not to do. They talked over everything before hand and made me as comfortable as possible. I am very grateful. I would recommend them to everyone!

I love that Northgate Dental personnel see me as a person. I used to tense up from the word dentist but my blood pressure has been falling to more normal levels with each visit to Northgate. From the time I am greeted by name with a smile until I am given my tray with a hot washcloth, mouth rinse, chapstick and Spry mint, I feel pampered. All treatments are discussed in detail and while being treated they are always interested in my comfort.

Billing is a mess, front desk is lazy, including the manager. The negativity among those upfront seems almost like a satanic cult. They seem to be empowered by negative behavior and conversation. Just puts people off. Very uncomfortable. I feel bad for the good people who have to deal with them everyday.

Im not a fearful person, but after my last 2 dentist visits, I just havent been back to one in years. I let the staff at Northgate know that I was a bit of a baby when it came to work in my mouth. The staff was extremely kind and professional. At no time did I feel like I was rushed, or impeding on their work day. Communication between staff was superb, it may seem trivial, but they use headsets to communicate, which is definitely effecient when you see it in action!Bottom line, hands down the #1 best experience I have ever had at a dentist office. Highly recommend you give them a go!!

I have a terrible fear of going to the dentist, so I put it off for as long as possible. I heard about Dr. Carter from an Endodontist at our church. I must say in all of my 50+ years I have never had such a pleasant experience. From those who greeted me at the front door to Dr. Carter himself, I felt at ease. The staff thoroughly explained all of my options for anesthesia and reassured me each step of the way. While being completely professional, everyone was kind, gentle, and unhurried. Dr Carter Is Detailed & A Great Listener🤗

When I made an appointment on 7/10 I explained that I had a missing front tooth and wanted to get options on what could be done to replace the tooth along with estimates on the cost. I was told that I would meet with Dr Carter on 7/17 and the email appointment confirmation I received on 7/12 said my appointment was with Dr Carter. During my appointment on 7/17 I never saw Dr Carter. Instead I met with one of the office staff who told me that I would need to schedule an appointment with Dr Carter who would provide a comprehensive dental plan. The earliest appointment I could schedule was 8/8. As a result I waited a week with a missing front tooth and received no information. I am very upset for being misled on 7/10 when I was told that I would meet with Dr Carter on 7/17 to get options and costs to replace my missing tooth. It seems that Northgate Dental is more concerned with selling a comprehensive dental plan than taking care of their clients immediate needs.

I chose Northgate because of what I had read on other sites about Dr. Doddsworth and the sedative dentistry. My first appointment there was comfortable and I felt good about returning. I have now had 5 appointments for a tooth that should have taken 2 and I am EXTREMELY disappointed with their level of care. I will not be returning back to Northgate regardless of their cushy atmosphere.

Gave me wrong information to keep my business. Northgate Dental no longer accepted my insurance. However they stated they would submit my claims for me. They neglected to inform me this would be all out of network.. When I called them on this, she stuttered Oh, I thought I explained this to you. NOT.

For the naysayers I say: Create a RELATIONSHIP with all your medical providers---Dentists, MDs, DOs, NPs, PAs, Chiropractors, Accupunturists, Optometrist, Opthalmologist, etc,---so that when a crisis occurs you have someone on your Team.
