Dr DeYong has been our eye doctor for years. He is awesome. We have been traveling from Staten Island for our visits since he is so good. Dr. DeYong is caring, extremely knowledgeable and patient. I can’t say enough about how great he is. Do not hesitate to make an appointment with him.

Deyong’s Eye World has been one of the best eye doctor’s offices I’ve been to over the last 10 years in central Jersey. I went in for a eye checkup and contact fitting and found Dr. Alan Zastrow to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the various brands of contacts and what would work best for my eyes.In addition to the doctors at Deyong’s Eye World, I found the staff to be professional, courteous, genuinely caring, and extremely helpful. Denise has been phenomenal on the multiple occasions I’ve interacted with her. She’s very friendly, patient, and caring! Denise is also well informed about insurances, the types of contacts, fitting, rebates, and is truly compassionate about your situation and making sure you’re walking out with the best care. I’m really glad I’ve been able to work with Denise through this process and highly recommend all of Deyong’s Eye World staff for your care.

My first time there. I went there for a retinol exam. At first the info provided was confusing very impressed, but, the exam itself was excellent! Doctor wore red sneakers and was pleasant and easy to speak with. Staff was professional.

The front desk seems to enjoy poking fun of patients in the immediate vicinity, but Ive noticed this is a trend for employees in lower-tier repetitive work, but still not a good reflection for a patients-first practice.Dr. Deyong was really nice and friendly but asked a lot of What race are you type questions that I do not get with other doctors. He also mentioned that it was because I was married to a strawberry blonde Caucasian and that my children would be interesting with red hair and slanted eyes.... FYI most Filipinos dont have these types of eyes and mention of this to Asians is typically highly offensive. I didnt feel comfortable mentioning this in person and I dont feel comfortable going back.

Very Professional, Caring, Patient, EXPERIENCED people. Dr Deyong is very Experienced. After many years i found the Eye Doctor i was looking for. Answered all my questions with Details. Not greedy. They took good care of me. Also Very Clean place. Machines seemed wiped due to Covid. Staff was Polite and professional.

Let me start off by saying thisI ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. DEYOUNG Ive been his patient since before his private practice began. He is such a caring, knowledge doctor. Ive referred countless friends and family. I wish all my doctors were like him. I refuse to go to anyone else. He actually takes the time to know his patients. Staff is super friendly but Donna is my wild & funny friend in my head. Lol. They wont disappoint.

I never got past the woman that answers the phone, just nasty the way she spoke about when I can get a appointment. So I never got to see any Dr. May be great Doctors, but I’m so tired of these people thinking they can speak any way they want. If they did not have customers SHE would not have the job. Will not go there now.

Dr. Z was very professional and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain everything to us from Lasik, eye tests, lense options, and insurance. Definitely recommend. The whole office staff was very friendly and the office was clean. Temperature checks and hand sanitizer as you enter.

They sent the bill straight to Collections! My husband had a medical eye exam in Feb. Deyoungs submitted a claim with our health insurance provider, but never sent us a bill for any costs not covered by insurance. In the eight months that followed we never received anything from Deyoungs, but yesterday, we received a call from a Collections agent about lack of payment for this visit.I was surprised that this was the first contact wed received about this, especially because our contact info was accurate, so Deyoungs could have billed us or contacted us via phone to receive payment prior to now. Weve submitted payment through Collections, but are extremely disappointed that Deyoungs chose to take this path. My husband was a long time patient of theirs, but will not be returning to Deyoungs after this experience.Addendum - Deyoungs now claims their protocol is to contact a person three times in cases of non-payment, however THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN OUR CASE. Collections had our correct information that means Deyoungs did as well. The only reason we didnt receive anything is because they didnt send it!

I highly recommend Dr.Z and all the friendly staff at this optometrist office! They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and find contacts that finally fit my eyes. I went to another eye doctor in the past that couldnt find contacts that fit, but when I came here, Dr.Z didnt give up and helped me try numerous types of lenses before we found one that fit. I dont think I would have been treated with such patience anywhere else. Again, I highly recommend coming here for contacts or glasses, as the staff are all very friendly, good at explaining everything, and have very little wait time.

I purchased glasses after my eye exam and after wearing them a few days I realized they were way too big for my face. I went back and had them adjusted, but was still unhappy with the size. Deyongs did not give me any issue with exchanging the frames and ordering me new lenses to fit them, at no cost to me. I only had to pay the difference in the frames because the new ones were slightly more expensive. Very professional operation.

Love this place. Very good for my kids. Dr. Zastrow is great with them and pretty funny. Thankfully, Donna is here because she has the patience of a saint when it comes to the kids picking glasses😋. Highly recommended practice.

Dr Alan Detong is a very knowledgable doctor in all matters related to the eye and helped me get fitted for contacts lenses on the first try.

Dr. Zastrow and Dr. Amanda are both highly skilled and caring doctors. Both of which will take the adequate time necessary during an appointment to review your prescription and administer tests. Not only do Dr. Zastrow and Dr. Amanda care about their patients, they strive to ensure that every patient understands and comprehends the intended treatment care plan.

Hi, Went there for my eye check up,before that I provided my insurance information to them ,to verify my coverage and my responsibilities for eye check up.I was told that I would be only responsible for the copay ,even I verified with them twice and based on the confirmation received from the staff ,I went ahead for the eye check up.However I received a bill of 100 + $ from them,when I called them and spoke to the office manager about this.She was very rude and not willing to help and settle the issue ,which happened due to wrong information provided by their staff. I tried to settle this issue but not seen any willingness from other side. I have never seen such kind of unprofessionalism before. I would never visit them again in the future.

Dr. Deyong is a saint. The rest of the staff is rather rude. The girls at the desk didnt acknowledge me when I went up to pick up my glasses because it wasnt their desk. John then refused to adjust my glasses to fit my head saying he could tell they fit. The very next day I went back complaining that they fell off my face when I looked down. His answer was that I had been pulling them to the top of my head and stretching them out in the process. I dont do this. I told him I picked them up the day before and if his glasses were to do that so quickly, I would never go back. I havent gone back to John but Dr. Deyong will always be my eye doctor. Get your eyes checked here but skip the glasses.

Amazing doctor and staff!! Dr. Deyong is so nice and good at explaining your condition and treatment options. I would highly recommend going here. I had been to several other doctors before him, and he was the one who found the right prescription for me. Now, I can see!

Dr. Deyong is just superb! He is the absolute kindest doctor, kindest person overall, you could ever meet. I find myself wishing he could be my doctor for everything every single time I go to get my eye exams, without fail! He genuinely cares about what is going on with you and your life and, obviously, cares very much about your eyes. He is very thorough in his eye exams and makes sure that when you leave, your prescription is immaculate, you fully understand any problem with your eyes and what can/ will be done about it, all of your questions have been satisfactorily answered, etc. He is an absolute treasure of a doctor in a world that seems totally full of egotistical, GREEDY, rude doctors that completely lack compassion for their fellow human beings.His staff is absolutely fantastic, as well. Theyre very, very kind, totally on top of everything, and make sure youre well taken care of in regards to everything they do for you.I really cannot recommend Deyongs Eye World highly enough! If you are thinking about going here, stop thinking and just go! You most certainly wont regret it!

On November 14th I went in for my eye exam and placed the order for new glasses.On November 18th the claim was submitted and the insurance processed the claim.On November 26th I called the facility and was advised its been a holiday and weekends and have put a hold on the processing. We are still waiting for the insurance to approve the claim.On December 3rd I called the facility again and was told the same and they would call me when they come in.Today December 10th I took it upon myself and went to the facility. I told the young lady Im here to get the glasses or I want a refund. She said let me check the back. She returned and said theyre done we were going to call you. These are the facts with no opinion on my side. You tell me how you would react? I left and called the insurance. The insurance claimed it was filed and processed on the 18th. I explained all to the insurance company. I was advised to file a claim with Quality affairs with the insurance to make them aware of service at these office. My husband has never had to wait for glasses anymore at most than a week under the same insurance. And let it be know the frames were the ones on display. And they handed the glasses to me without a final fitting or recommendation to return to do so. You cant make these things up. Hope you can SEE better locations.

Horrible Horrible office manager/receptionist she is rude and rushes you off the phone. If you have to deal with someone like that right off the bat you know all you will have are issues. I would recommend going some place with better office personal and I really hope the doctors see this. I used to go here a few years ago and with my new insurance wanted to come back but not now...

Dr.Deyoung is PRICELESS. I search for Doctors who dont have their foot out the door as soon as they arrive. DR. Deyoung is totally focused on helping you,listening to your concerns and explaining EVERYTHING..You are never rushed out.Around 20 years ago I had an eye infection ,I called the eye Doctor I had been using ,he told me to make an Appointment! Finding Dr.Deyoung in the phone book I called and he saw me Immediately and got me medication. Now my whole extended family go to him.I can truly say we love this Doctor.

If i could give 10 plus stars I would. Dr DeYoung has been my optometrist for many years, you could not ask for a more caring and professional person than him. He takes his time with each and every patient and you can see he loves his profession. We need more Drs and people in this world like him.

Dr Deyong is one of the nicest doctors I think I may ever encounter in my life! He cares not only about your eyes but you as a person. You go in, you get your eyes checked, and not a moment of it do you feel unwelcomed, rushed, or worried. Truly an awesome time..I look forward to my visit every year! Not only that, but they have an optician, John, on staff who is AWESOME!! Hell help you pick the best frames for your face and size them perfectly! I never once left feeling like I left with the wrong pair. I cant even express how much I really love it here. The whole staff is truly extraordinary. Definitely worth the trip/switch/try. GO! :)

I was rather disappointed that, when I arrived for a walk-in visit, I was told it would be an hour until I could be seen. Deyongs had been recommended to me, and this was not what I expected.
