We called ahead to make sure they were free and able to do Covid testing. They told us yes and to come in without an appointment and after driving 25 minutes to get there we were turned away at the door. “We no longer do testing.” Would’ve been great to know that before the drive.

I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt after seeing all these poor reviews. But nope. I had a bad experience as well. Came to be seen because I was ill. Waited in the parking lot for an hour. They then called me and said there was nothing the could do for me. Woman on the phone was rude and brushed off my symptoms.

This location was absolutely horrendous. Was told to be at this location by 11am for rapid covid testing. Showed up at 10:47. Was told there were two emergency walk-ins and they were priorities and I would have to wait till 12:45. Never received any help even after calling till 12:30. All my information was lost and had to continue waiting. Associate was rude, and placed the blame on me. Watched 5 cars leave and 9 show up in that amount of time. Others had come out and told me they were helped but were unsatisfied with their service.

This was so easy! I arrived at 6am. Parked and brought a book. I parked in spot #4.. at around 7:45 a lady came out to my car, asked a few questions. A lady called and told me to come in about 5 min. They put my in a room . Came in and swabbed in both nostrils (one. Two. Three. Four. Five) not bad or uncomfortable at all. 15 min later... results! Not exactly what I wanted to hear but the experience was exceptional. Would highly recommend this place and their professional service was wonderful.

Review №16

Staff at MedExpress were friendly and efficient, especially considering the vast number of people on site. A few things to note if you are visiting MedExpress for a rapid COVID test...1) It will take a while. I would suggest bringing a book or something to do in the car because of the large number of people being tested and time it takes to process tests/paperwork. This is not the fault of the staff...I arrived shortly after 7 and waited in a long line. Know that the phones do not turn on until they open at 8am. They will send someone out to start taking names once they open.2) The parking lot only accommodates a certain number of cars. If you arrive and the lot is filled, stay in line. Once they open at 8, workers will come out to direct the line of traffic where to go. From what I have heard, the line goes a different direction depending on where cars line up that day.3) Depending on when you arrive, you may not get a test that morning. They may schedule you a time for later in the afternoon. My guess is it depends on the number of tests they have available and number of cars they have that day.THANK YOU to our essential health care workers for your patience and commitment to our community. We see the work you are doing and greatly appreciate it!

INSURANCE FRAUD AND BILLING WARNINGOur interaction with this facility is currently pending an insurance fraud investigation with our healthcare provider. We were instructed to come to this facility due to dizziness because our general practitioner was concerned about potential COVID-19.Upon arrival, they stated an irregular EKG warranted ER visit. They were notified of a pre-existing condition that can cause irregular EKG but either they didnt understand what them meant or didnt care and wanted to move on to the next patient.Move forward to 5 months later with no word, no invoice. We then get a call from collections stating MedExpress put our unpaid bill of $150 to collections?!?!We did move address in that time but had setup mail forwarding. MedExpress states they mailed 3 times to our previous address before submitting to collections. Thank God we have USPS informed delivery that shows what mail you are getting in an email, that I have a bad habit of never clearing, and I can prove their statement is a lie. The collections group also had our new address supplied to them by MedExpress! Their billing department is as incompetant as their medical staff.Do not rely on this facility for any services!!

Not even sure what to say here. Waited for over 45 minutes in the parking lot to wait another 30 minutes in a line for them to tell us they had no tests left....watched from the first car to us and not one person received a test. Asked a worker at 7:55 and asked about tests and she said to find a parking spot and that theyd be out to give out the tests. I was told the day before when i called if i got there by 8am we would be able to get a test. You’ve got people NEEDING tests in order to return to work and you make people wait for over an hour to tell them you never had any. What a joke.

Staff was great and professional. Only problem, dont think because you get there super early and get parking spot #1 you will be the first inside. Went for a Covid test , got there at 6:30. Was directed to park at Schnucks, then at 8am they open the parking and you park how you came, first , then second. at 8am they open the phones and whoever gets through first, gets to go inside first. After 98 attempts, we got through on the phones at 8:40am and was told 1-2 hour wait. We waited, but if there are 20 cars in the parking lot at 8am, everyone is trying to get through on the phones. So, dont assume if you get there early and get up front parking, you will get seen first.

They need to better explain the instructions when calling about COVID testing. We were told to arrive before 8am. We arrived at 730 to a jam packed parking lot then turned away and told to come back at 2pm. Then when we took that option she told us our test would not be free. It would be billed to insurance and then they didn’t take our insurance and so it would be a $189 payment for the test.None of this was explained over the phone when we called to ask the protocol. I think it’s worth mentioning there is no guarantee to be tested and that it is in fact not free. They are wasting a lot of people’s time who also were turned away because of the lack of explanation regarding their protocol.

I have always used this facility and love it, however they need a sign about where to line up for covid tests if all spots are full. I went at 7am and was the first car after numbered spots were filled but didn’t know where to go. I parked in a spot that didn’t have lines but in the lot. They skipped over me and went to cars that were not there for at least 20 min after me. I was told they had to go in that order and were out of tests by the time they got to my car when I pulled out to leave. 2 hrs waiting and nothing. A simple sign that says please line up here or a message on the website with directions would suffice since that is where I went to try to find out what to do. Some random guy that left before testing started was in the last parking spot so someone else also got that spot and ahead of me.

If I could leave a zero, I would. When you search, “COVID testing near me”, this Urgicare came up. I went there and told 4 different people why I needed a COVID test. At no point did any of them tell me, “we don’t actually do the test here. You will have to go tomorrow after we refer you.” The admission person was very nice, as was the lady who took my vitals. The nurse and nurse practitioner were rude, short, and clearly didn’t want to listen to my story. They didn’t tell me until the end that they don’t give the test there. When I left, the intake person told me she didn’t understand what I was asking for. How do you not understand, “I need a COVID test.”? Very poor communication, and 50% of the staff I interacted with were rude

Yesterday was my second experience at MedExpress. I only give it 3 stars not because of the facility and speed of getting in and out, but for the inexperienced NP. My copay is 100$ and I saw the same nurse each time, not friendly at all, and seems like she is in a rush to get done with you and push you off to either the ER or primary health provider! I was in such pain with swollen glands in my neck and a sore throat for 4 days now. She did a strep test and it was negative, checked my ears and nose, then says everything is good! I’m sitting there thinking, no it’s not! Didn’t prescribe me any meds for the pain, basically said take I understand any gargle salt water...which I already have been doing! So now, out 100$, and waiting to hear back from my primary and going to have to pay another 30$ copay to see him. I will NOT go back to this facility, two chances, 200$, done!

Not sure what the policy here is, but I went to this urgent care and I explained to the nurse who came out to my car that I had gotten a negative Covid-19 test result, but I’m still having Symptoms loss of taste and smell along with a cough, She did explain that those test are 50/50 negative or positive, but when I asked her what should I do, she told me to go back to work, because they ran out of test for the day. She was acting like I was bothering her, because I was asking her question. I was unable to get a full examination, because they’re not allowing anyone to come into the building, but they’re charging my insurance for full price for a visit. Only reason why I went there . I couldn’t get into my doctors office, and my insurance company called them before I went to make sure they would do the follow up visit. I called the doctors office back, and they informed me that I need to get retested, no sure why a medical professional would advise me to go back to work, even though I’m still having symptoms, after she told me that she was 75% positive with Covid, and being at a high risk of infecting other people, and in that case Covid will never go away.

Quick and easy urgent care (I can only vouch as someone with health insurance). I had a $50 copay. After 3 different visits because of issues on weekends or after hours when dr office is closed ,or needing an quick Rx for the occasional winter illness, I found this is a excellent alternative to getting in to see my regular doctor. Most prescriptions are filled on site. They also didn’t excessively charge my insurance. Highly recommend this for the occasional things that are not an actual emergency.

April 27 2018: Had the pleasure of visiting MedExpress today for an ongoing illness I hoped would go away (Im not a huge fan of Doctors / Medical Facilities). I went over my lunch hour since it was in the same City that I work in, my Primary Dr and Urgent Care facility of choice were 25 miles away so I decided to go here for the first time out of convenience. I was greeted warmly upon entering the door, and the wait time to check in was less than ten minutes. Within 20 minutes of arriving I was checked in, paid my copay, was processed by the nurses, taken to a room, and talking with the PA. The diagnosis, treatment, medication, and even diet for the time being was explained to me clearly and compassionately and I received 8 printed pages describing the illnesses I am being treated for in depth. I was in and out in under an hour, and am completely satisfied with everything about my visit. The entire facility was clean, well lit, and welcoming / comfortable. I can say that even though there are no less than 6 facilities within ten minutes of my house, Ill drive the 30 minutes to come here next time, no questions asked! Thank you sincerely MedExpress Urgent Care!

The NP didn’t know what she was talking about. My 1 year old went in bc he fell hard on the concrete and severely loosened his front baby tooth. She entered the room saying “we don’t do anything with dental injury’s” I exclaimed I knew that but I wanted someone to look at it and I was concerned that if it fell out in the middle of the night he would choke on it. She proceeded to tell me that it would have to be a grape size for him to choke on it...... kids choke on smaller things all the time. Then she told me I could go home and call our pediatric exchange. Really? Then when I arrived home me neighbor who is a ER nurse told me she wanted to gently push it back up a little bit. When I got ahold of the pediatric dentist, they said that was the right thing to do & the NP at the urgent care should have done the same bc it is possible that it could have re rooted. But bc she failed to do anything for us, my son lost his tooth. Thumbs down. Will not be returning.
