My email confirmations from previous visits /recent reservations show they altered my information on file without notice a few days prior to boarding and then denied entry to the dog upon arrival. They demanded vaccine records that they had already confirmed verbally over the phone the day of reservation and has had on file since May 2021. Its possible they dont realize technology documents changes for everything, but the staff is genuinely in need of adult supervision over the age of 25. Facility isnt the same after recent staff changes.

Intially, I came to SMS so I could address my dogs separation anxiety. I was unable to leave him alone for any amount of time as he would tear or scratch everything but his toys. His time at SMS has taught him independence and basic commands that encouraged me to continue training him further. My family decided that he would never be a controllable dog and handed him off to me after the first few months. He, of course, does have his stubborn streaks but has become a well behaved dog that is unrecognizable from his first day. Working as much as I do, I put him in daycare so that he can socialize and get his energy out. The best peace of mind is being able to watch his excitement towards the employees when I drop him off for daycare. Having never owned a dog before, its been immensely helpful to have knowledgeable trainers to learn from and I know I can go to any of them with a no dumb questions mindset. I will continue to work with SMS now because theyve earned my pups heart.

I boarded my pup for 5 days, and when we picked up Lola, we saw at least 20+ extremely large fire ant bites all over her neck, shoulders, and armpits. We directly went to the hospital, and even the Vet told us that this was unacceptable and that sit means sit should have to pay for all the fees. I went to go speak to them but they were being uncooperative and saying they wouldn’t help. I wish I could post pictures, so you all could see the extent of the damage done to her. She is on 3 different types of medicine, and not doing well. Please do not use this company! Very unreliable!

I loved sit means sit! When I got my shelter baby he was nervous and a tad aggressive with new people and dogs. I was so nervous to start training because I did not know how he would react, but the folks at sit means sit truly helped me to gain the confidence in my dog that I needed. He quickly adjusted to their training and thrived in the environment. My dog today is still nervous, but I know how to correct it with the help of my trainers. He has come a long way, and sit means sit has been the sole reason for that.

My dog, Chloe, just graduated from the 2 week day camp training program today. I adopted my 6 month old Chloe from a shelter in Houston and she had a few challenges to overcome. After bringing Chloe to Sit Means Sit I can proudly say that she has regained the confidence that she lacked after being a stray in Houston put into a shelter at such a young age. Chloe was attacked by another dog while she was a stray, which caused her to be extremely nervous and fearfully aggressive/reactive towards other dogs. After her time at Sit Means Sit she is now playing with dogs off leash and enjoys going on walks with other dogs, no problem! The staff at Sit Means Sit were very kind, accommodating, and patient with Chloe (and myself). She has greatly enjoyed her time here and I am absolutely sure she is going to miss all of the amazing people and dogs she has become friends with there. I will be taking her back for group classes and boarding. Thank you Sit Means Sit for everything!

I had posted about a year ago about how amazing sit means sit is, but boy was I wrong. I used sit means sit twice. The first time was great, we got down the basics of dog training. He was amazing. I wanted him to be trained to be a service dog and I was told that a board and train would be the best to get him to his fullest potential. I got him back from his board and train and everything seemed fine until I got him to group classes. He started lunging at other dogs. When we returned home from college, he went after dogs he had previously been fine with. He had never had any kind of behavior like this before the second training session. They seemed to think that it was just a phase. I worked with them in private lessons and nothing they did helped. When he went after another dog and accidentally got the owner (it was a scratch), we were forced to pay even more money to quarantine him. Overall it cost thousands of dollars. He has his basics but is now unpredictable and I wish I had never trusted them with my dog.

If you plan on moving to another location DO NOT BUY the lifetime group class. We were told that it would transfer to any other Sit Means Sit location in the states and now we are being told it is only with the location in College Station. We paid a lot of money for these courses and now we cant even get a partial refund. I would recommend finding a different training center that does not cost thousands and is more clear on their policies. I am disappointed in this companies focus on money instead of quality. I suggest just not even looking at the group class at all.

My dog was more than six months old when I took him to this facility in Bryant. The whole staff greeted my dog and I as if we were family or like long lost friends. We settled on a three week training program which at first I thought was a little over priced but my dog needed obedience training bad, a little hyper did not describe my pet! The end result was amazing, his/my trainer was fantastic, spending ample amount of time with both of us to understand all the commands. I would recommend this facility to any one of my friend knowing they will be very happy with the end result.

Our family has had an absolutely positive experience with Sit Means Sit College Station, and highly recommend them. We brought our 5-month-old Weimaraner puppy Belle to them for two weeks of training last month. Before going through their program, our puppy could barely be brought into the house without going completely wild. After the training, she is now tremendously well behaved, whether shes indoors or outside. Totally recommend giving them a chance to help train your dog. The trainers at Sit Means Sit have been amazing to say the least! I recently lost my husband to cancer; and to help us cope, we adopted a 6month old Lab. When he turned 1 year old we did not have the skills or knowledge to train him, especially with visitors coming in to the house. He was barking and showing aggression. After basic training, private lessons, and group lessons, we feel like we can guide him towards being a friendly family dog. Special thanks to Andrew who has worked with him and Taylor for his counseling and experience with dogs. We appreciate all you do for our family. They did a horrible job training my dog he went there full of life and energy, and after coming back he’s timid and scared of everything. Then on top of all that after I’ve paid everything they sent me an email claiming I owed another 645 dollars then I have tried calling and going in and have been told each time that I don’t owe anything yet I still get the emails. And honestly it’s gotten pretty annoying and I would consider this place the worst place to go if you want to train your dog. I also reread all the emails and most of the five stars ratings are by current or former employees. So please do not believe the rating this place will do no good for your dog, or for you.

We love the trainers and the advice they give when we are working through issues. I also love that we get unlimited classes to work on issues with the package we purchased. For those that do not know, this place uses shock collars to train.Give me a trainer that can take an unruly dog and train them without fear and with real skill, then charge me these insane prices for it. Otherwise, please dont pay someone to scare your dog and punish them. Positive reinforcement works - they just choose not to do it. The free consultation became a sales pitch for their shock collar. At the very least, stating on your website that you do this just so people dont have to arrive, see some very defeated looking dogs in cages, then get a sales pitch on how to train your dog cruelly, would be great. I was told that shock collars are fine, because they have even used them on 3 month old puppies and its a distraction not a punishment. Sorry, that makes it even worse. Will be going to one of the many other places in College Station that offers a better experience for less cruelty and less money.

I joined SMS back in November, and waited a few months to review so that I could grow a full and honest opinion. This place is awesome, and I can give so many different reasons why.For starters, my dog was COMPLETELY out of control, to say the least. He is a lab-husky who I got at 7 months, and came with terrible habits from being raised in a poor environment. Trash digging, furniture chewing, carpet digging, running away, pooping in the house... the list goes on, and these are just some of the issues that came with him. He did his initial training back in November, and while he did not come back a changed dog, he came back with his terrible habits curbed, he gained the skill of being able to listen and learn to learn, and he continues to get better everyday that goes by.What you pay for is not simply just a two week training camp with an e-collar. You are paying for a lifetime membership with a community of dog-lovers that strive to help both you and your pet grow together in the best way possible. With the initial cost, unlimited group classes are included for life. This means at any of their locations, whether it be here in College Station, or if you move across states to a new area. You are a permanent member of this community and they have several group classes weekly to help keep your pets new-learned skills in line, as well as help you to continue to curb bad habits and learn new skills and tricks.Additionally with the cost comes 3 private lessons at whatever location you please, which is perfect for addressing specific issues, like issues with the dog and the cat, for example.Every dollar I have spent has already paid off, and its only been a few months. The staff here is amazing too. They are very polite, respond promptly to emails, and always work with your schedule to try and help with classes and last-minute boarding. They create a relationship with your pet as well, which is obvious when you attend class and see how your dog interacts with the trainers. To address the commenter who said the boarding was a rip off -You arent paying 15$ for play time because your dog is trapped in a kennel all day. They let the dogs out routinely, make sure they stretch their legs and get fresh food and water. The additional services they charge you for are optional perks if you want to treat your dog. They take very good care of the dogs here, and every time my dog Kirby comes home from a day or weekend boarding with them, even when I dont pay for the extra-curricular stuff, he comes home exhausted and ready for a nap - something very unlike the husky in him.Training dogs is not an overnight miracle, or even fixed perfectly over the span of a couple weeks. Its a process that continues and needs to be maintained, and Sit Means Sit helps you to understand that process and guide you along the way. They train your dogs in the training sessions, but they train you how to train your dog as well.I would recommend this place to anybody and everybody who feels their pet needs special attention, wants their dog to be extremely obedient, or who simply wants to invest in a life-long relationship that goes beyond just the initial training.Im a full-time college student who works as well, and my dog was so out of control it would stress me out to the point I couldnt go to class and had to quit my old job. Since then, I have been able to get my life back in routine along with adjusting Kirby to that routine as well. Before this training, he would be insane all the time, but he is laying down by me calmly as I write this since he has learned to adjust. As many of us college students struggle with money and time management, every cent I spent on this training was most definitely worth it.
