Courage to Nourish helped me recover after a long battle with both of my eating disorders. Dealing with recovery while being a full time college student was really difficult for me, so receiving the treatment I needed from Courage to Nourish helped me fully recover and become myself again.

I’m a junior in college and I suffered from an eating disorder for 5 years. A year ago I went to treatment and have been seeing Alex since I discharged. She has been so incredibly helpful and is a 5 minute walk from UMD’s campus, so very convenient for students. Alex and the Courage to Nourish dieticians follow the Health At Every Size and Intuitive Eating approaches which have helped me to respect my body and maintain a recovery-focused mindset. I feel I am able to be honest with Alex and won’t be subject to criticism or judgement, and being honest is what has kept me in recovery. So many college students suffer from eating disorders and disordered eating, and I highly recommend Alex and the Courage to Nourish team for anyone who needs support.

I worked with Emilee during one of the heights of an eating disorder relapses. I had had many dieticians prior to this time and I was beyond apprehensive about working with someone. At that time I needed much more than one hour of help each week, but Emilee didn’t stop. She made sure she did everything possible in each session, even outside of the sessions. She even texted to check in when I eventually got into a treatment center. She is relentless to do her best, with a smile on her face every step of the way (which may be one of her most effective treatment practices: giving hope, promise and motivation for recovery). Each week working with her was a moment to see the face of freedom, joy, and life. I have been so grateful for her and would certainly recommend her.~ Lauren

I started seeing Bobbi at the beginning of my eating disorder 10years ago, scared and no idea that i could come back to life. With her sincere care, experience, and dedication to helping clients get to a better mindset, she helped me move forward. After moving and building up my new life, I came back to Bobbi after years to help keep me going in the right direction and it was like talking to a best friend, the memory and care as strong as ever. I cannot thank her enough.

Alex Raymond is so relatable, compassionate and wise! She has passion for her work and plays an integral part in our daughters recovery. Along with one-to-one sessions, Alex and Bobbi provide virtual groups and meal support to encourage and teach clients they can have a healthy relationship with food and live their best lives. Both Alex and Bobbi promote a Health At Every Size philosophy- which is hard to find and vital to recovery. If you want someone who you can trust and will be all in for your recovery, you have found the right place!

They are extremely communicative with other members of the treatment team, which I always appreciate. Alex and Bobbi are incredibly knowledgeable about the treatment of eating disorders and body image issues. Clients are drawn to their warm and compassionate personalities. Highly recommend!

Bobbis amazingness cannot possibly be described in a google review. The first time we met, when I was in the depths of Anorexia Nervosa, I felt an immediate connection and trust. Her personal story and years of experience treating eating disorders were so reassuring and fostered a truly judgement free relationship, which has created the space for me to examine and challenge my eating disorder. When I needed to step up to a higher level of care, Bobbi was there with me every step of the way - she made the phone calls with me, helped me process my emotions, sent me memes to make me smile in the hospital, and helped me trust my new treatment team. Getting to see Bobbi again honestly helped motivate me to get through treatment.Bobbi approaches her work with so much joy, humor, and compassion. Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, and body inclusivity are an integral part of her approach for patients of all sizes. She communicates with the rest of my treatment team so we are all fighting my eating disorder together, and she is flexible in her approach to address individual needs. Bobbi has truly been a voice of reason for me, pushing me when I need to be pushed, and celebrating my victories. I would not be where I am today without Bobbi (in recovery, in life, and as a person), and I am so grateful for her expert love and support.

Alex has been my dietician for 1.5 ish years. She has supported me through the throws of life with consistent appointments and groups including progress check ins, goal setting, and support. She always gives me a chance to work through anything/everything going on together. Alex is a health at every size and all foods fit type of dietician and clearly stands behind her values/beliefs, AKA, she genuinely cares about the work she does. She also has been awesome at coordinating with the rest of my treatment team!
