My father has been staying at The Gardens at Freedom Village and has had the absolute best care. Laura has helped us so much with making sure he is comfortable during his stay, and his therapist Alli has done a phenomenal job taking care of my father and making sure that we get constant updates.

We recently moved our parents into an assisted living apartment at Freedom Village. We toured many places and none came close to having the type of apartment living my parents were looking for. Besides the fact that their space was fully renovated before they moved in, their new 2 bedroom apartment is very spacious - easily accommodating their king size bed (many could not) as well as full bedroom suite. The living area is huge and gives them plenty of room for family gatherings. Laura was a true champ through this whole process as she navigated through almost daily questions from my parents, my eight siblings and numerous in-laws. They are enjoying meeting new friends and jumping in on many of the social activities. We have been very pleased all the way around.

We went through an extensive search of the best CCRC places within a 30 mile radius of our home. When Freedom Village came up, we first met with Nicki, who gave us a tour of the (rehab) area where Mom would first be located. Nicki listened to our concerns, and gave us a thorough tour. After that, she passed us off to her colleague, Laura, who was responsible for intake in the memory care section of the facility. Laura took a lot of time to show us the area and the accommodations that Mom would occupy, and she even introduced us to the woman who oversees that area, Lisa. We were impressed by the care and the time Lisa took with us to make us feel comfortable with this area. After about 3 weeks in Freedom Village, I have no complaints or concerns about the care that Mother is receiving. Every time we go visit her, she seems happy and content with her new surroundings. Each time I interact with the staff in the memory care area, I am impressed at just now engaged and attentive they are. So far, I have no reason to relocate Mother to another place. They are doing an outstanding job! If you are embarking upon the same type of journey as we (wife & me) were, I encourage you to visit this place. They will help you to feel a little less nervous & a lot more confident about your journey. UPDATE 14 Sept 2021, Lisa is no longer there, and we are waiting to see what kind of talent they can recruit. You should inquire about this particular change of staffing if you are starting out on your search for some good place for Mom or Dad. . Still, my wife & I are sticking with Freedom Village. Not a bad choice, in our eyes.

Placing a loved one in a long term care facility is never an easy choice but I know we made the right choice placing our grandad at Freedom Village. The nurses and aids treat him with dignity and respect and he even loves the food! He has made friends and enjoys participating in Bingo and other games with Devan. We are thrilled with our choice and can sleep at night now knowing he is being watched over so that we do not have to stress sand can visit for quality time.

My family has had a wonderful, caring experience with Freedom Village. My mother is in their long term care unit in a beautiful room with an outside view of the Village Green. The staff is caring, friendly, approachable, and talented. My mother is able to attend Drs. appointments with a companion when we are not able to go with her due to our schedules, and they also arrange the transportation which is extremely helpful. The facility itself is so lovely and we enjoy the dining rooms and the opportunity to give her a change of scenery while walking through the greenhouse and the absolutely beautiful lobby. We also can visit a library. When my siblings visited from out of town we were able to arrange a meeting with the head nurse, social worker, physical therapist and dietitian at a moments notice and were very grateful for the accommodation.I would most highly recommend Freedom Village to anyone searching for an excellent facility. This is it!

Large continuing care senior living community with a large number of independent living apartments and garden style units. Lots of storage space within each individual unit (most I saw in any of the similar communities visited). Assisted living and alzheimers areas of the facilities connected to main building by indoor walkway. Swimming pool and hot tub available almost 24/7 inside main living area. Gym, multiple dining rooms, library, beauty parlor, wood shop, game room, billiards room, business center, auditorium, garden for residents, small crafts room. Very friendly and helpful staff and residents. Fairly casual lifestyle with some dress code rules for dinner, but does not require jacket and tie. Monthly fee includes 30 meals per month, lunch or dinner. Generally good food, though currently would prefer more inspired vegetable preparation and more offerings of a lighter fare for entrees, though many seafood dishes are presented. Great soups and desserts. Many regularly scheduled performance events, movies and group trips.

Update (9/2021): More than 4 years. Theyve done a great job handling the many pandemic issues. Staffing shortages in dining, nursing, etc. are significant, but the staff and management are proving flexible and up to the amazingly difficult task of keeping us healthy, fed, and entertained.. Pat and I are in Independent Living but we have close friends in the Assisted Living and Nursing sections.so I feel confident that if we had to move to a higher care level wed be well taken care of. Ill apply every positive adjective I know to the wonderful dining staff. Yet again, Im sure we made the right choice when we decided to come here.Update: Almost three years now. Continuing to love life here and still making new friends. Ive been volunteering with a local hospice which has taken me frequently into the nursing and memory-care sections. Im impressed by the high level of care they are giving the residents and patients. The new Executive Chef who arrived last year has improved many things in the dining scene (which was already pretty darn good before his arrival).Update: Here a year now and loving it still. We made many new friends - even a couple close friends. The amount of visibility residents have in the overall planning, organization, and operation of the place is wonderful. We had a lot of conflicted thoughts about going to a for-profit place. I think we made the right decision. I just wish the dining service was not so slow.Original review: My wife and I have been here for two months now. Its too early to provide a comprehensive review but here are a few highlights:-The investigation and buy-in process went extremely smoothly. At several other seniors places we looked at, the sales staff seemed like they were selling timeshares. No so here. We felt we were in charge and every question we had was fully addressed.-Move-in was a bit rocky but that was 90% third-party movers and unpackers.-Condo is roomy with lots of windows but with only one ceiling fixture in four rooms, we need lots and lots of lamps.-Access to events and places such as gym and dining is quite convenient. We do not need moving-around things but residents with walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters seem to be having no difficulties.-Food... well, if it were a restaurant, Id give it four stars for food and five for staff. That said, every once in a while the lag between ordering and food delivery is excessive.-Staff are just plain wonderful. They remembered our names from early on. They remember our preferences and our food restrictions. This is getting long so Ill just add that a primary reason for our selecting this place was in the hope of making new friends. We found success there from the first day on.

Mom is in this place now. It sure wasnt MY first choice. She was in the commode for an hour she rang and rang for the nurse, nobody came. Shes not supposed to get up and walk around without assistance because shes on 3 anti-coagulants and a fall can be so dangerous for her. She used her walker got up and went back to her chair alone what choice did she have? She rings for someone to raise the foot of the chair and nobody shows up. Shes not supposed to have her legs down ALL DAY! She has aspiration issues as well, if she aspirates and nobody shows up then what?
