Great lab, great space, great art sculptures! All friendly staff and very professional!

Terrible. I was fired for a false reason. I was told I falsified my time card for taking extra breaks when in reality, I only received 1 out of 3 breaks the entire time I was there. The day I was hired on I was told we dont take our 10 minute breaks (most people dont even get to take their lunch) because we are too busy. Then when I brought the company to the labor board, the owner, Diane, appeared with written evidence against me from an employee I worked closely with completely false information saying I took 3 breaks every day. Never happened. On top of all this, being a woman owned company, I was harassed by the main front desk lady, yet I kept it to myself trying to avoid conflict between my co-workers. When I took off my lab coat she repeatedly made remarks towards my body and how she liked it and how I wont be able to fit my new shirt around my big, strong chest. Extremely awkward and uncomfortable situation. But its only sexual harassment in the workplace if the comment it towards women, right? Needless to say, my attempt to seek justice through the employment board was unsuccessful because of the falsely written statements the owner of the company brought as her defense. I did greatly enjoy this job and I had the chemist I worked closest with constantly going to managers and the owner with print outs of my work literally bragging about me. I will never know the true reason behind being fired from APPL, inc.
