Dr Ieon Dawson is one of the most thorough and caring doctors we have ever met. He saved our Mother’s life After going to another doctor for many years he ensured that she received the care required to have a healthy long life. Thank Dr Dawson and staff for all your practice does!

Friendly Staff and professional services rendered upon each visit. Dr. Dawson is very knowledgeable, caring , patient and understanding. He takes the time to listen to his clients’ concerns. I would highly recommend him to others.

I agree 100% with the other review. Dr. Dawson is awesome! It is a shame his front office staff is not personable and do not make you feel they care if you are a patient of his or not. I called today and we had a bad connection. When I told the lady that answered the phone I would call them right back, she just hung up. I thought that was rude. I called back to reschedule an appointment that was scheduled for today and the same woman answering the phone said oh okay, its JUST going to be $25. JUST???? How would she feel if her doctor told her that? I understand they have the policy, but she didnt sound sympathetic for having to charge it at all. She never asked if it was an emergency keeping me from coming. She just stated it was their policy for everyone (in a take it or leave it tone of voice). All of the staff once you get past the front desk is very nice, bubbly and personable. Im sure if Dr. Dawson knew his front office is making people dislike his practice, he would make changes. I could also deal with the average 2 hour wait to see the Dr., but this is NOT okay. I travel all the way from Charles Co. to go to Dr. Dawson. After speaking with his receptionist today, I will never return to this practice. They will never get another dime from me or my insurance company. I hope it was worth the nasty attitude and $25.

My experience with Dr Dawson has been amazing, he very knowledgeable of my health issue and always proactive to avoid any further issue. The staff and front desk assistance are polite and friendly. He really and truly care about your health, I asked him about some mens vitamins and he actually took the time to go over each pill and told me what was good and bad for my health condition. Kudos to Dr Dawson and his team of professionals.

Horrible experience!!! The office staff is very unprofessional, they do not care to follow up with any information related to the patient. Ive been waiting for a month for an authorization for my son for an echocardiogram. Never once have they called to let me know anything that was going on. We had a scheduled appointment made for his testing after initial visit. The day before his visit I happened to call and thats when they decided to let me know they were waiting on an authorization from my insurance company. I had to cancel that appointment. I called last week to make an appointment and was told that by Tuesday they will have the auth. I checked on Friday and still nothing. Monday came I asked the young lady for the number to the insurance, which she gave very hesitantly. When speaking with the insurance co. they told me the office just sent the request on Friday, they told me if the office would call and ask to speak to a nurse to have it expedited they could do that. When I spoke to the office manager she was too busy trying to argue about who was right. She also kept bringing up that I have government insurance as if Im beneath her and that I should call and switch insurances. She continued to tell me about how the insurance company doesnt care if my child drops dead literally her words, how insensitive can you get? When I asked what her bosses name was she told me her husband Ieon Dawson the Dr. I asked for a name not his title to her, I guess that was so I would know my complaint would fall on deaf ears. Then she proceeded to tell me she was hanging up the phone on me. Mind you my sons appointment is tomorrow and still no authorization Im off work for absolutely no reason now ... And my son continues to have to sit without knowing the severity of his heart murmur.

Two weeks ago was my first visit with Dr. Dawson. The staff was very friendly and courtious to me. Dr. Dawson showed a lot of care and concern about my health. I was schedule for an appointment on Friday, July 26th. I had called the office prior on the Wednesday with the intentions of canceling the appointment. It was then I was told they dont have the Holter Monitor box in the office for me to carry out the process. I was glad that I made the decison to call because it would have been a inconvience for me to leave my job in the middle of the day. My appointment was rescheduled for the following Monday, July 29th. I reached the office and was given all the instruction concerning what to do with monitor and proper care of it. Again that day I was treated respectfully. After my 24 hours of being monitored immediately I received a call in the middle of the afternoon while at work to bring back the monior. I was across town in Washington DC. I felt pressured by the the young lady speaking with me on the phone. She did not know my situation at the time while I was at work. It should be very clear to the patient giving a time frame when to expect the monitor back in the office so the patient can schedule themshelves accordingly. They should keep in mind some people do work and other sit at home doing nothing and may find it convenient to bring it back right away. This they should take into consideration. I felt stressed trying get throught the traffic to turn in the machine because another patient was waiting for it. This is not proper way you should schedule apointments or at least let the patient know before leaving the office and not catch them off guard. Otherwise the machine whould have been return the following morning after my 24 hour monitoring was over not same day.

For how wonderful a doctor that Dr. Ieon Dawson is, its a shame that some of his staff is down right disrespectful. Id like to note that all the nurses and medical assistants I saw were extremely nice and very knowledgeable, but their billing girl was terrible. Trying to resolve a billing issue with her was extremely uncomfortable. Her use of an accusatory tone was unappreciated when I tried to professionally challenge the error I called about. In the end, it was proven Heartmasters was mistaken and I was correct. Not a big deal at all, but she just hung up the phone without saying a word. I can excuse having an appointment scheduled at 2:00 PM and not being seen until 5:30 PM as happened to me the day I had my stress test, but I will NOT excuse the disrespect and rudeness of this woman. I will not be returning to this office. Ill take my business elsewhere.
