Unbelievably awesome

My grandmother has been attending Long Life Adult for 15 years now. Not a day goes by where she doesnt tell me how amazing the staff is. When she comes there she has a place to socialize with people of her age, and feel safe and secure with the wonderful staff that make sure that she is OK from the moment she arrives to the moment she is helped into her apartment. Honestly, our family cannot ask for a better place to take care of our grandmother. We sincerely thank you for all of your hard work, and for becoming a part of our family.

I just finished speaking with someone on the phone and the conversation was less than hospitable. I was told that the majority of the clientele speak Russian, during the morning sessions, and the majority of the clientele speak Korean, during the afternoon sessions. Then I was told that the staff speaks English. At this point Ill quote, So, if you want your parent to be socialized, s/he will have to speak one of these languages in order to feel comfortable.It was also immediately emphasized that the program is covered by Medicaid, and if you dont qualify for that, it will have to be private pay. I told the person with whom I spoke with that we could pay, of course, but the person continued to emphasize the pricing.The first impression that Ive gotten from this center is that the folks who work there are not welcoming to new clients at all. Whenever Ive spoken with adult care personnel (we already have someone who works in the home with my folks), the initial behavior is usually very sensitive and understanding. They ask a lot of questions about the person who is interested in the center, etc. Nothing like that was part of the phone conversation I just had with Long Life Adult Day Care. Well, I guess they wear who they are on their sleeve. I will NOT be entrusting anyone there with my beloved family members.

My grandparents attended for many years this wonderful facility. They received the best care we could have ever wished for. They were treated like family. Staff was amazing and always helpful. I highly recommend Long Life to anyone who is looking for day to day care for their parents or grandparents.
