Unfortunately, my appointment with Dr. Thacker was not the experience that I was hoping for. Going through menopause is very emotional and can be scary, especially when you are dealing with depression and anxiety. Instead of getting empathy and kindness, Dr. Thacker was rude, short, and dismissive. She was more concerned about adding my past medical history into the computer, which I had already filled in on my new patient form. She was barking questions at me and before I could even answer she would ask me another question. In addition, instead of calling me to step through my test results she sent me a brief email that was improperly worded with incomplete feedback. There was no direction as to when I should schedule a follow up visit.Perhaps she had an off day, but looking at some of the other reviews its seems like her lack of empathy is a pain point for Dr. Thacker. Im sure she knows a great deal about menopause and treatment options but her inability to connect with her patients in a kind and supportive way needs a lot of work. She left me in tears but luckily her nurse Lily showed me a great deal of compassion, for which I am thankful.To close, I have never written a review on a doctor before but I felt an obligation to potential patients looking for a menopause specialist that they may want to reconsider.

Dr. Thacker was knowledgeable, kind and took a great deal of time to listen to me and understand my menopause symptoms. Shes giving me my life back. Im so grateful. For the reviews mentioning her book, written for the Cleveland Clinic, of course she briefly mentioned it. Why wouldnt she. Its a resource for women during menopause. The world is lacking in education for women in regards to menopause. Ill review as many resources as I can. Knowledge is power.

Dr. Thacker is smart, kind and sympathetic to how harsh menpause can be.

Dr Thacker has been a life saver for me. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 43 and she has treated me for side effects ever since then. She listens and takes time to treat your overall health .

I went to Holly because she specializes in menopause. Ive been seeing her for eight years, and shes very knowledgeable, Shes written a book about menopause that she gives to her patient. It answered all the questions I had. She dispelled the myths of HRT from years past, and explains the benefits of taking HRT longterm, I have given her a 5 star rating, but if rate her higher I would.

Dr. Thacker literally saved me from suffering with Hot Flashes and other menopausal symptoms!! She is a caring Dr. who genuinely listens to help. I have reached out to her office via email and the response time is almost immediate! Of my 56 years of life - I feel as though I have received the best GYN care from Holly Thacker!! Ive learned so much about my body, spirit and mind from the shared appointments!! She treats the whole person not just the gynecological parts. I love my Dr.❤️ ~Mattie Jones Hollowell
