I went here after canceling an appointment for a spay appointment in Chattanooga.I am so grateful I heard about Dixie Day Spay.It was a wonderful experience from booking appointment to picking up my puppy within a few hours of procedure.Staff was extremely friendly, helpful with information prior to booking and pick up was stress free; all of this was much appreciated in this time of Covid.A wonderful nonprofit service in the area.

Took my little rescue there last week for a neuter. I was worried about him with people because I wasnt sure how hed behave. They had a lady come out to get him and she did amazing. I felt very comfortable leaving him there. I drove all the way from GA and I will definitely be taking any new additions to my family here. Thank you guys for all you do.

IN RESPONSE TO OWNER RESPONSE: If you look at the paperwork, it will not have my signature or my wifes signature on it. It was not signed at drop off. It was paperwork from the rescue we adopted our pet from. We never saw that paperwork. My issue is that you did not confirm the procedure and vaccinations with the person dropping off the animal, THE PET OWNER. We signed an agreement with the rescue stating that we were responsible for all vaccinations and care with the exception of the spay procedure. If the person at your facility receiving the patient animal had confirmed the procedure/vaccination face to face, a double rabies vaccination would have never occurred. It is professional to confirm procedures and medications prior to administering them. That did not happen. This was completely avoidable if someone had communicated to the us, the owner of the animal, at drop off that there was a vaccination scheduled as well as a spay.This business provides a needed service. However, they are not careful about following simple protocols. The issue we encountered was them giving a vaccine without confirming with us, the pet owner. This was the second time our pet got the vaccine in 10 days.We had our kitten spayed at this location. When we dropped off the kitten to be spayed, they also gave her a rabies vaccine without our consent or knowledge. This was the second rabies vaccine that our cat got in 10 days. We had our vet give the vaccination. I called Dixie to find out where the miscommunication was and why they didn’t confirm a rabies vaccine when we the dropped off the kitten. The person I talked to on the phone was polite, but straight up rude. She would not admit fault and kept passing blame to the rescue that we adopted the kitten from. She would not acknowledge me on any point that I tried addressing. I called trying to figure out why it happened, but by the time I hung up, I was very disgusted by the way they treated me and my cat. There is a blatant disregard of professionalism and courtesy at this business.Bottom line. Your pet may get more than you expected because they do not confirm what they are going to do prior to doing it.

They are wonderful with your pets and friendly service. I would recommend Dixie Day Spay to everyone who loves their animals and they take care of your animals with caring and love.

I dealt with Tamara but went there due to conversation that Betty had with a lady Deitz regarding rescuing kittys. We trapped a kitten. I named it Wallie after Tamara informed me it was a male. Left him to be neutered. Hes in a foster home with a man named Dennis. All ended well. Dixie Day Spay is great!!!!

They were nice and very quick about the whole procedure. Besides what I added o myself there was no hidden charges.

Love getting flea pills from here, but the woman with medium length brown hair is so so rude! She shouldnt be working there if she is gonna be that rude to customers. No need to talk kto the way she does to customers. Was rude to my grandma the other day, and witnessed her being rude to a woman today who was sitting outside with her dog.

I have never had an issue with any of my cats going to Dixie. However, I took my indoor cat there 11 days ago, and now she is hospitalized with panleukopenia. She may not make it. My vet explained that they rarely see these viruses anymore, but reading earlier reviews it looks like someone else lost 2 kitties to the same thing, all because they were treated at Dixie a month ago! True, my cats are not up to date with their boosters, but they are strictly indoor cats, so she could not have gotten exposed anywhere else. Plus the timeliness fits in perfectly with the incubation period for this virus. I took her to what I thought should be a clean, sterile environment. Now my other cats are at risk. I have left voice-mail for management, as I feel they should have least made me aware of such a deadly virus at their facility only a month ago. How many others are going to continue to be infected if they have had not had their shots yet!

Took my two cats there to get neutered where they were exposed to panleukopenia. As indoor cats, there is no other way for them to have been exposed. Now I have two dead kittens. Clearly there is something wrong in their sanitation process, so animals are exposed to highly contagious deadly diseases during a routine neuter. A vet costs more money, but your pets life is worth it. Do NOT go to Dixie Day Spay if you have any care for your pets long term health.

Well. This might be a long one. My cat got spayed at Dixie Day on Monday. The last few days have been SO hard. It started with my cat not ever really coming back to, after the drugs wore off. She never got her balance back, she couldnt stand up, get to the litter box, eat or drink. On the third day, I knew something was up, so we headed to the animal hospital. I called and informed the emergency number that Dixie Day had given me on my post op instructions, and have kept close touch with that woman, Betty, since. Her heart is truly in the right place... but Dixie Day and their doc let my girl slip through the cracks. My cat spent the day in my primary vet getting blood work, an ultrasound, and a chemistry work up which proved a very BIG issue. Low hematocrit, hypothermia, amongst other things. Being deemed in critical condition, she was transferred to an overnight emergency animal hospital. There, she received a blood transfusion, fluids, body temp monitoring, just the works. Yesterday morning, she was transferred back to our primary vet/animal hospital. Her stats kept dropping, and I got the call that I unfortunately saw coming, so I had to start considering putting my cat down. Within the hour we decided wed try one more thing. I didnt want it weighing on my heart that I didnt try everything in my power to keep my girl kicking... they opened her back up immediately and did an exploratory laparotomy. And there it was... an active bleeder. The vet that did my cats spay (I wont say names) hadnt sealed off her ovarian pedicle, and she was internally bleeding for days. So now, we wait a couple more days (hospitalized) until she completely stabilizes, but shes expected to recover, thank God. I will say, Dixie Day Spay assumed responsibility 100%. I have not paid a dollar in vet bills, and I wont. This has been VERY expensive, and I simply couldnt have done it. Things happen, I get it, I work in human surgery, but I just hate that it had to be my girl! (but I guess anybody would) If it wasnt for Betty at Dixie Day staying so closely in touch with me, advocating for Eno to her higher ups, and truly caring like she does, I would have probably had to take a different route with my girl, that I dont even want to think about. I am so thankful they took responsibility. All I can say is I wish Dixie Days veterinarian had payed closer attention when closing up my cat... I hope this is a lesson for him.

We waited an hour for vaccines. I called after thirty minutes and taking people who arrived after us to explain. They intentionally continued to do so and a staff member said “they all have been waiting they’ll have to deal”.

Every time I come here Im sitting over 30 minutes. The sign on the door says to honk and call. I do. Nobody answers the phone at all. I tried giving them chances. Im going somewhere else. This is insane.

It gets a little busy and crowded, but as long as your patient, theres usually no problems getting in and out with your pet. Havent ever had any problems. My pets- dogs and cats, are always well cared for there.

I love Dixie Day Spay! They are always so wonderful and helpful. Highly recommend it for vaccinating and spay/neutering your dogs! (I would say for cats as well! I just have no personal experience with cats as Im allergic!)

Ive set my appointment about 2 weeks ago and ive been trying to get in touch with them but no one is answering my calls and I lefted amessagea voicemail and no one is responding. I called many times. My appointment was for tomorrow march 16 but I want to cancel it and been trying for over a week but no answer.

WONDERFUL experience from start to finish! From my very first call to their office to initiate making an appointment to have my cat fixed, the person who answered the phone was friendly and kind and answered all of my questions and my concerns with knowledge and compassion. On the day of my cats appointment, the lady who came to my vehicle and greeted me and took my cat inside while I verified information on the registration paper, she greeted me with kindness and respect and was very compassionate and pleasant to my cat in a very soothing way my cat was anxious and she spoke in such a way that showed she had true concern for animals. The lady who helped to retrieve my cat at the end of the day and bring her back to my car was an absolute joy to interact with. She answered all of my concerns and post-op questions. I wish the medical field for humans that Ive had to deal with behaved with such kindness and knowledge and compassion as all of these ladies did!

Took our dogs for their vaccines. Weve been coming here for over 10 years. There is No place that has lower prices! 3 year rabies for $10 . Chattaneuter is $20 for a 1 year rabies. Staff is always caring and very accommodating. I very highly recommend Dixie DAY Spay.

Wow! I am amazed by this place and the kindness of their wonderful employees! Angie is a sweetheart. She took her time and was very patient with all my questions. We asked a kitten from them at the petsmart on gunbarrel road. 4 days later we had to put him down. Hadnt eaten in a while, they said oh it was the food they were giving him. Instead of having him checked out they adopted him out. If he had a basic exam they would have known that he was terminally ill and in distress. So know we are out hundred of dollars and upset kids and wife. They do not take responsibility for the health of the cat. Disgusted

The spay was fast and they also offer other services as well such as heartworm testing, rabies vaccination, and flea and tick prevention treatment dose. They are low cost spay and neuter place. With Covid 19 guidelines they are doing vaccines from 11-2 during the week which is really helpful.

I have always brought my cats to their clinic and they never seem too traumatized afterwards. The staff is always kind, professional, and informative. I have never spoken to a single staff member or volunteer that could not answer my every question and I think that’s going above and beyond. The pricing is reasonable, affordable, and they do as much as they can for our local animal community. We are luck to have them!

I can’t rave enough about the great work this facility is doing! I have gone to several of the vaccine clinics and although they are busy, Dixie has a great system and gets people through very quickly without sacrificing quality of service. If you go to a clinic, get there early!
