Doctors and nurses techs and housekeeping are great, but other staff needs to trained in beside manner, HIPPA laws, respect for patients. Especially receptionist meal takers who answer the phone and the PCNAs dont wear mask or name badges, they seem unhappy with their employment and some out just rude and loud.No one waits for to say come in most dont even knock they just walk right in your room. I gave birth to all my children here and never experience the care I did this past weekend.it was shameful and the Director of Nursing should embarrass to half some of these so called professional on the staff.Will consider another hospital for future treatment.

Bedside manners should be displayed from the time a family enters to the time they leave. I understand Covid has changed a lot of things but there is a better way to tell someone only 2 visitors per stay rather than Miss Linda at Rainbow Way tearing up a badge she made me in my face and saying mom and dad that’s it. I have been trying to get my 2 year daughter an appointment to get her 4 cavities taken care of for over a month in a half now. They were supposed to call me for an appointment and never have. I got a call from them today to schedule a “covid” test so that she could get an appointment and they told me that is not how that works that I need an appointment set first which I have been waiting on. If that’s the case than why call??? Instead of helping me the lady just kept repeating herself saying that I need an appointment first. This is by far the WORST service I have ever experienced especially when it’s for my 2 year old daughter. Just seems to me that they don’t care about anyone but there selfs and that’s really sad. This is a baby not an adult (obviously).

The only positive experience we had was my 8 week old son’s successful surgery. We were the first scheduled surgery of the day and the last people to leave the PACU. We spent over 8 Hours in the recovery area waiting for a room to be available. Once we finally arrived to our room, we had to share with a teenage boy who snored so loudly, we were all woken several times. Considering my son is so young with an immature immune system, and me breast-feeding, I was hoping for a private room. When I acquired about moving rooms, the nursing assistant came to me with a “message from the charge nurse” stating they had no where to move us, and she never actually addressed me herself. The nursing staff on the floor, although very sweet, seemed very inexperienced and clueless. They were unable to answer very simple questions and seemed to have no idea what was going on with my son. The Night Shift nursing assistant was very rude and Appeared irritated when coming into our room to silence the monitor alarms. After helping her obtain a set of vitals signs, she walked out of the room without saying one word to me or asking if there was anything my son needed. A narcotic was also administered to my son without my knowledge after obtaining an extremely low blood pressure three hours prior and never rechecking. We were even discharged without them re-checking his blood pressure. (He had been measuring between 105-125 systolic, and low reading was 78 systolic). After hearing nothing but positive things about rainbows, I really can’t express how disappointed I am with our experience. We are expecting our son to need another surgery in a month or so, and I’m really dreading it because of our first experience.

Hematology and Oncology Doctors are amazing! Our experience with the doctors, nurses and hospital staff in general was great! They include parents when they do their rounds so you are never caught off guard. They always explained everything in a manner that made it easy for us to understand what was going on with our 14yo daughter. They were kind to us and always tried to include her in all of our conversations. I am in love with this department and Rainbows as a hospital. Going to the hospital is almost never a good thing and I hope we never have to see any of them again but if you have to take your children there, please know that they and you will be treated kindly and with respect!

Took my 4 year old daughter to rainbow for seizures after her pediatrician said its nothing to worry about. Found out she has epilepsy. After receiving the devastating news the doctors and nurses quickly ashured us they can treat it. I will never go to any other hospital again when it comes to my childs health. This place is simply amazing.

The care our daughter received during our short stay at Rainbow Babies was incredible. There is just something extra special about the staff that really puts your worries at ease. They made sure we, as the parents, were comfortable throughout our stay here.

They take care of my childrens check ups, dentist and anything else in one stop. they make it comfortable and not scary for a child. I love this hospital!

After dealing with the Mercy Mess in Oberlin, this facility is excellent and worth the 1.5 hr drive.The peds staff here really shine in all areas of ratings and they took great care of my sons dislocated elbow. Highly recommended.

When our son was a baby, we found him not breathing during his nap. He was life flighted to Rainbows, and they saved his life. Our son is now 18 years old, healthy as a horse. We will be forever grateful to your staff.

Yes, I was there since I was about 1 year old because I had a asthma and G-tube feeding problem...Right now, I am 17 years old, theres no more G-tube feeding for rest of my life! I am happy and be strong girl! :) And also, when I was about 2 years old, my old nurse Rakisha always take care of me until I was about 7 years old. Right now, I am done with G-tube. Theres no more G-tube for me for rest of my life! Some people asked me about what happened to my G-tube, I always said None of your business. thats why I dont want to tell them about it.

Parking isnt bad. People are for most part great but it is so hard to find your way out of there and all the pop is diet and food sucks and I hate when they so your going home soon and its all day then or they will say getting you ready for something in 10 mins then its two hours...

Wish I could give them zero stars. Had an appointment with tapper dental and was ten minutes late thanks to traffic and the parking garage being full! Evidently, they didnt care and are making us reschedule. Mind you, my daughter has a cavity thats hurting her, it takes 2 months to even get in there and we live over an hour away. Finding a new pediatric dentist. LIVID.

My sister is bleeding internally and we have been in the pediatric triage lobby for over 2 hours. when confronted, registration had made an excuse of making room for patients which would have been acceptable, if they hadnt taken everyone else in the waiting room ahead of us, and all new patients that have walked in. They honestly dont care if she bleeds out, doctor told us to rush her here especially for her pain. Upstairs a lot of doctors/nurses CARE for patients , while downstairs it is a pathetic nightmare. Id give rainbow a negative 10 rating if it were possible. Disappointed to say the least, wish they were more caring.

Had preemie twins at 29 weeks and I absolutely love the Nicu nurses they are amazing. We are now at the picu and those nurses are also amazing.

Had my son almost 6 months ago at 38 weeks with a small issue to be treated. He spent about 5 days in the NICU, and we found the NICU nurses were fantastic and very helpful! Highly recommend having your babies at UH in case you need the NICU - as the doctors are very competent.

Our daughter was recently admitted and we have this to say about her stay...First of all, we are very grateful for our pediatrician, Dr. Marcus Baratian, who showed so much care and concern for our little girl. He kept tabs on her progress the entire time she was in the hospital. He called numerous times to check on her; even calling our room at 10:30 pm on a Sunday night. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pediatrician.Next, we would like to thank the staff of UH Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital. Thank you to the nurse in the ER triage that immediately made Lyla a priority 1. Thank you to the three doctors that met us in the ER and immediately began to evaluate Lyla. To the nurses and medics that quickly and efficiently carried out the doctors orders we thank you. We saw more staff in the first 30 minutes than we saw in 5.5 hours in the ER at Ahuja Hospital.We would like to thank the attending doctors and nurses in the Pediatric ICU who ensured us that our baby was going to be okay. We want to thank all of the specialists that assisted in investigating the cause of Lylas condition [the infectious disease team, the cardiologists, the respiratory specialists, and the hematologists.]Lastly, we would like to thank the staff of Rainbow 6, who ensured we were as comfortable as possible. They were all so kind and quick to provide anything we needed.Hopefully we never have to visit the hospital again but if we do it will be UH Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital. I just waited for an hour and 18 minutes on the phone trying to schedule an appointment for my daughter. I ended up falling asleep and waking up to still being on hold and I was told I only had 10 people ahead of me. No excuse why I couldve watched a whole movie while being on hild with them. Absolutely horrible service!
