I went in for a Root canal which Ive had before but never the experience I had with them.. Doctor Chen worked on my tooth for 45 minutes and then told me I had a cracked tooth and she needed to extract it. I was Leery but I was ready to get it over with. She worked on my tooth for over 45 minutes.She had me in a headlock I can hear her stomach growling thats how tight she held me. She yanked pulled, and dug all that time. I even asked whats the problem. She said Well your tooth wasnt loose Instead of asking for help she continued until I started crying. Mind you she was pulling so hard and yanking and digging so hard that the tool slipped and bust my lip in the inside and she would just say oh its your lip Im Sorry and continue with the digging yanking and pulling. It was over a hour before she called for surgical. Then after it was over, she acted as if nothing was wrong I was clearly upset,and clearly in pain she sent me home with Tylenol and said have a nice day. I would never recommend her, would never go back to her again. She definitely has poor beside manners. No compassion, shes not empathetic and she clearly has something to prove to someone or herself and not thinking about the patient. One week later still in pain , cannot sleep, I have to sit up to sleep. I decided to go somewhere else I still need dental work, however; its not worth what I just experienced.

Remind me to never be booked with the last appointment of the day.The Dr who did my checkup & cleaning wasnt very good, to say the least & somehow she did both the cleaning & checkup in about 30 mins. Quite a rush job in light of every other dental checkup experience Ive had.My gums feel like theyre torn up; I left the office spitting put blood in the bathroom sink. She totally rushed the cleaning job, which would account for the amount of pain endured with the water pik alone, not to mention the mess made during the cleaning.She spent a good few minutes trying to sell me on a sealant & invisalign braces (which they just so happen to do there).Yes I need to floss more, but that doesnt justify this experience. My overall oral health has been complimented by every other dentist or hygienist Ive seen, so I take that into account when thinking about the above experience.I had high hopes considering the reviews on here, but I wont come here again nor recommend it.

I gave the Cleveland dental institute two stars because the front desk people are always very nice. Other than that I have to say that I am done with this place and I will be looking for another dental office.I went to an appointment today with my 15 yr old daughter. At the Shaker Blvd office. They called her in - her exam was completed within 15 or 20 minutes she then went out to the lobby to wait for me. I was still in a room waiting for someone to do the exam. I waited for probably a half hour or more and then the woman who did my daughters exam came in to ask if anyone did my exam. The answer was no. She did my x-rays then went to get the dentist. I waited another 10/15 minutes still no dentist- so I got up and left. I rescheduled but I probably will never return. This place is really unorganized & sorry.My appointment before this one (earlier this year) we had a dentist who just came in and looked at our teeth. She didn’t scrape, she didn’t brush, she didn’t floss, nothing. I guess because it was the end of the day she just wanted to hurry up and go home. In my opinion this is a glaring example of how people feel like they can set up shop in a black neighborhood and treat the black community any kind of way. Many continue to go there because it’s convenient - they live over there or their kids go to the schools over there but that doesn’t mean poor treatment is acceptable.

So I’ve been coming to Cleveland dental Institute on shaker hts. for about 2 years going on 3 years now and before Corona hit I was always seen by Dr Zimmer or Dr Ahmed never had a problem with them always came in for my appointment just did what I needed to do always respected everybody cracked a couple jokes here in there and went about my business I had already paid for a crown that I was supposed to get 8 MONTHS AGO!!! I called every location left voicemails left emails never got a response never got a call back finally got an answer Wednesday, March 24 2021 was told to come in on the 26th because my temporary crown had broke. I’m the type of person who respects all no matter where you come from I like to get to know people make new friends Dr Jason was the only one available so me be the nice guy I am I greeted him “ hi how are you where you from” he responded “my families from turkey but were originally from Israel where you from” I responded “I’m from Palestine over there we’d be enemies over here were in the land of the free where we get to know people for who they really are” he responded “no we’re not enemies were COUSINS there’s no borders over here separating us” being ignorant stating the fact that there’s 30ft boarders separating the two countries because we’ve been at war with each other for the past 70+ years... I let it slide he then messed up my tooth only to get a “better impression” for the crown, so I had told him that my crown was already paid for only for him to try and quote me a price again after I already stated that it was paid for I also told him the other director that’s no longer there quoted me 1500 - 2000 for an implant he the proceeded to tell me that’s cheap for an implant so I told him I know it rare to hear a Jewish guy use the phrase “cheap” we both laughed he then quoted “that was a good one” so I had to go to the LEE location an hour later where I met dr laham VERY RESPECTFUL WONT LIE I believe was his name where he fixed his peers mistake where he also told me to come back today at 2:00pm so he could see if my tooth was fixable with the new crown only to be told I was being dismissed for a hate comment towards one of the doctors IM HONESTLY DISGUSTED WITH THE WAY I WAS TREATED BEING THAT A FEW OF THE DENTAL ASSISTANCE QUOTED “He’s not the type of person who would say such things if I’m not mistaken Dr. zimmer was also Jewish and I had absolutely no problems with he was actually my preferred Dr. but I mean hey if you guys prefer to be treated like an outcast because of an emotional Dr. be my guest but what I won’t do is let a “Professional” belittle me talk down on me and try and get rid of me like loose change

I love it here, I feel very comfortable and safe. Im no longer afraid or embarrassed! Ive recommended my family, friends and coworkers! They are very personal, they really care! I dont feel overwhelmed when it comes to prices and making payments. All the doctors are wonderful and patient. Ive never had a long wait. The front desk is great. Ive witnessed the care and comfort not only firsthand be I see they treat all their patients with love!!! Theyre like family!

I went there last year, so many times and waited for ever. Dr. Odonnell said I needed a root canal and my insurance didnt cover it? Got a care credit, paid $$$. Than crown, got denied, but it was a front tooth, so the lady who did the insurance said she would appeal it. Called nothing. Than called my insurance company and they stated that they never got the the second appeal. I appealed it got it covered. The root canal probably was covered too, but I paid. The only reason I went back there was because of Dr. Odonnell. I liked her. The tooth never bothered me but I believed the Dentist. Less than a year the crown broke off, could not get it back on. Called for Dr. Odonnell but she no longer works there. Now, I have no tooth because I had to get it pulled and its my front tooth😥 Very upset, no tooth paid for a root canal, had to deal with the crown issue and I am so upset. I dont trust that place. Now I have to get an implant or something. So who is going to help me now? Thanks for all the pain and suffering.

Most professional and kind staff! Smiles and heart warming welcomes from the secretary even when I was late for my appointment! Dr. Ahmad is incredible my teeth look and feel perfect. Started working with Dr. Ahmad and his team in July and 3 months later my life has changed forever! I have never been so comfortable smiling and laughing showing off my new pearly whites!

My children and I was seen by Dr Collins and we received phenomenal service... my children was so happy and please with how she took time and showed them how to brush correctly... they stated that she was the best dentist ever.... we were all pleased 😃

I went ther to get my wisdom teeth remove . I was supposed to do all for wisdom teeth but I decided cause it was my first too extraction I would just do the on that was hurting me. First of all they took 2 and a half hours to get just one tooth out . I felt like they was literally about to brake my jaw then to make matters even worse the lady who was doing my tooth keep asking for help from different doctors the one man was so aggressive and ruff I told him to stop on don’t touch me no more he accidentally stabbed me with the poker on my Cheek tryna be so ruff and fast then had the nerve to say I know I’m aggressive it took 6 different people to get one tooth out I was crying and hyperventilating cause I felt so much pressure and the breaking of the tooth and drills I was horrible I will never go back there every again and I hope this helps yu on how things are done around there

Dr Zimmerman is awesome. Makes you feel comfortable and always makes sure your never in pain. Will recommend him to all I know. Thank you for all the help you have given me.

Cleveland Dental Institute is a really nice establishment, good customer service as well they get the job done. I’ve been getting my teeth done here for over five years and they always done a great job. Cierra is one of the best employees there because she always make sure to remind you of your appointments, as well always having you leaving out with a smile. THIS PLACE IS FILTHY, THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND PULLED MY TOOTH THAT WAS NOT HURTING WITHOUT ME ASKING WHEN I CAME FOR A CLEANING BECAUSE THEY SAW MY INSURANCE COVERED IT! My doctor was Dr.Tara was excellent and patient with my dental care. Dr. Don was very concern and well inform about my daughter dental care, gave me a lot of information on the care of her mouth. Cierra the front desk was on top of all appointments and availability for next visits. Came as a new patient and now I here to stay.

Dr. J Collins was very personable and took great care of me. She made sure I was aware of every step she took and why. Making sure that I understood the dental plan and adjusting it too my needs.

Good doctors, knowledgeable staff. This was one of my best trips to the dentist. No fuss. Went in Saturday morning for a cleaning got called in right away. The hygienist was super friendly. The doctor spent time and answered the questions I had.

I am so happy with the work that i received at CDI. The staff was funny and very friendly. They were able to work around my schedule and i received everything i needed in a timely manor! The hygienist is awesome, it was so quick and i cannot believe how clean my teeth feel!

At 62 I was in need of a great deal cosmetic dentistry . After considering several options I chose CDI Ashtabula. Four visits later I have my smile back. Dr. Masoud did an amazing job exceeding my expectations with a wonderful new smile. Staff are very upbeat and pleasant what a great asset to this area!! I could not be happier with my experience.

Terrible!! I scheduled at 10am appointment and didn’t get served until 20 after , Secondly I scheduled for an extraction and cleaning they only had me down for a cleaning 😡 I also had forms from my orthodontist that needed to be filled out and the lady gave me back blank forms !!!!! Where’s the professionalism? Why make an appointment not to be seen on time ? And why schedule specific appointments to not see them in your system.
