This is a wonderful place for all your banking needs & a great place if you want to find a true friend. All the employees there are fantastic, theyre always wearing a smile, ready & willing to help you in any way possible; they make going to the bank a pleasurable experience. Very unprofessional. Tried to open a joint account for investment property. They will take your money before they even open the account. I had lost my physical ID and so they wouldnt open the account for me. I told them I had a digital copy and they denied it. Bowater did not stop the online transfer from my other bank account and decided to hold the money. When I talked to the manager I told her they shouldnt have transfered money if they couldnt open an account for me. She then told me she wouldnt give me my money because my bank should reverse the payment. Basically they would be holding on to money for a few days while they figured it out. Its the principal. Do yourself a favor and go to a bank thats not stuck in the stone ages!

The drive through staff is more interested in what we dont do that attitude than providing customer service and listening to the customer to see if there isnt a way TO help. This has occurred on more than one occasion and I dont like order takers and negative ones at that. Full service means customer service also.

I went every where to try and get a car loan i had good credit just this was my first big loan on anything and I couldnt get anyone to take a chance with me and let me prove myself to them. Then I got in touch with Bowater Credit Union They had me in a new car in moments no problem everyone is awesome at this bank I closed out my bank account with TEnnessee Valley after 6 Years and now do all my checking with Bowater. Great place and Great People.

Horrible service, and the bank reps like to hang up on you while you’re talking

Ive only been a member a little over a year and a half, and everyone I came in contact with has giving me outstanding service. Hat off to Bowater credit union.

Over the past month theyve started holding everything in pending until I dont have any money in my account , then all pending transactions magically drop at the same time giving me one hell of an overdraft fee. I know its intentional because it never used to do that.

These are amazing people and I recommend them to everybody!

Worse place ever around Christmas time they wanna say I owe them money when I have a savings account and cant over draw never using this bank again for this fact!!
