I recently visited Traverse CC at the recommendation of Lee University’s counseling center. I received the intake paperwork via e-mail and was surprised by the simplicity of it all. I waited less than 10 minutes for my counselor; however, she mentioned that sometimes client sessions may run slightly over their designated time. I appreciated that she was upfront about this, and also that they do not simply cut someone off when their session is supposed to end. The decor was clean and tasteful. I would happily recommend anyone to give Traverse a try.

As an LPC, I look for referrals who are above reproach, continue their education, provide a balanced worldview, and show great integrity. Knowing each counselor at Traverse and being acquainted with their skills aids me in choosing just the right fit for those working toward specific goals. I will continue to refer to these gifted professionals who have varied strengths, staunch ethical values, and a real heart for the hurting. Never getting anything but positive feedback from referrals makes this a win/win situation.

I highly recommend this group of hard working professionals. Each and everyone of them are skilled and compassionate caregivers. They embrace the healing profession. I have worked with most of them in one way or another in my career. Don’t hesitate to trust your mental health with them.

From my experience with Josh as a trainee and a colleague, he is one of the most compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled counselors that I know. He is committed to ethical care and social justice. I would highly recommend him or his team to anyone seeking services.

After crying and sharing details of why my life has been flipped upside down in the past few days, her response: Im sorry, I cant see you anymore because you have an open DCS case. What? I understand why and what it means. I understand its just business, but it doesnt change the fact that it is baffling. I really feel like I dodged a bullet, what I had gotten 6 months in and you dropped me like that. It would have been devastating.

Ill keep this short and sweet. I had just gotten a very limiting diagnosis, hated my job, depressed, and felt like this was just it for me this was my life. Josh was non judgmental, caring and was able to pull things out of me and show me things about myself that changed me forever. Im still not perfect but I am so much better off now with a greater understanding of myself, and what I need then ever before. Would recommend him to anyone .

I cant recommend this group of counselors enough. Theyve had a positive impact on my own life, and taken incredible care of several people close to me with their professionalism and insight.

Leah is such an amazing person and therapist.... I cannot imagine her working with people who suck. So use them!
