This post is about a specific stylist, Cynthia, that works or worked at look Studio. The actual studio is quite charming and I loved everything about it, and after all the trouble and unprofessional treatment from Cynthia, Sunny, the owner of look Studio, listen to me, sympathize with me and give me a refund from such a horrible experience. Please read on if you plan on getting her hair done by Cynthia Jeanette Smith.About two months ago I went to go get my highlights redone ONLY, and the person I went to told me they were going to just trim my hair. Instead they changed the whole shape of my hair and didnt even comb it out when it was styled before she cut it. I have curly hair that was styled in finger curls . As you know, with curly hair, when you style it changes the entire shape. BUT she told me to trusted her and I did; because I had gone to her for 7 years, but now my hair is 4 and a half inches shorter and a completely different shape. It took me two years to grow my hair out and all I have been doing is crying in the shower when I reminded of how short it is, and how much of it is gone.... and even sometimes in a day I just start to break down.... Ive had people mess up my hair before but Ive never had anybody be so rude to me after, especially when theyre in the wrong. I was told theres nothing I can do about it, and it will grow back, and I wish I never touched your hair.( Only because I was complaining about how short it was). I was never given an apology by the stylist. Not even once. All she said was I cant make it grow back... not to mention the first time I even went in the highlights didnt even come out and I was in the chair for 4 and 1/2 hours. She was also talking to her boyfriend about buying a dryer on speakerphone and trying to figure out how to transfer money to him. The whole experience felt unprofessional and uncomfortable.. I went back again to try and get the Highlights redone with my mom and The Stylist even snapped at my mother for a specific for asking a simple question.. I was in the stylist chair for a total of six and a half hours with highlights that did not come out for the crown of my head and hair that was four and a half inches shorter and a completely different shape. I feel completely taken advantage of for a side project a stylist wanted to do, instead of listen to what I wanted to do with MY hair. Do not go to her.
