A good friend had recommended this company to me regarding Home Insurance quotes and Im so glad he did. I ended bundling my Home and Auto and saved $1200. The rep Joe B. was great to deal with, answered all my questions and really understood my concerns. I contacted 4 different insurance companies and Southern Insurance was by far the best quote. The other companies usually wanted to the replacement cost of the home to be outrageously high which raised the annual premium a couple hundred bucks, I always argued with them knowing the house does not need to be that high knowing the construction costs myself. Southern gave me more of a realistic figure, still a little high but more in line. So check them out, youll be happy you did.

My current insurance policies were coming due in November and I was calling around checking rates. When I contacted Southern Insurance Group, which I was referred to by by a neighbor in our community, I inquired about getting quotes from them. I did receive a quote but only given info on 2 policies and I requested info on 4. Had to call back several times for that representative to get me that info. I had several questions regarding these policies so I called back again several times without getting a response. Finally I called the office and explained I hadnt heard back from that individual and was interested in changing my insurance to them because it would save me over $400 per year but no one would call me back. After stating I would rather talk to someone else they put me in contact with another rep. Explained what was going on and she apologized to me saying she would definitely get back to me after I reviewed policies she sent me. Well needless to say when I called her back to ask questions she also never returned my messages. So bottom line is I did not choose this company after not being called back after leaving at least 6 different messages between both representatives. The $400 isnt worth the aggravation.

So far the relation ship is GREAT. Everyone I have spoken to at Southern Ins. has been more than helpful. I am looking for a long relationship with them.

Worst possible experience. I took my auto insurance and was told that it is all done and i am covered. When i called insurance company after a month just to check my coverage, they told me that i am not covered as the insurance company never received the document that i had already signed. Be careful while doing business with Southern as you will have to take an extra step to validate everything what Southern is saying.

I have done business with this company for years, and referred multiple people to them. Sadly within the last year the customer service and follow through of multiple agents and account reps. has declined. I have worked with Jen, Garrett, and Kristi within this time frame, and have similar frustrations with all of them. Their lack of communication always leaves me reaching back out to them for more information regarding the status of my requests. Needless to say, time to find another agency that places importance on the customer relationship.5/6/20Needed to contact the company for a copy of my insurance dec. pages and noticed the reply they posted. Most of what is said in the explanation for their poor service is just untrue. In this instance the referral was for an older home.... however thats no excuse for poor customer service from multiple company representatives. You are in the business of insuring homes, so Im not sure why the age of this particular home is relevant.As for being rude and difficult Id say that very inaccurate unless were speaking about the services Southern Insurance Group provides. I gave them multiple chances to maintain my business, but they failed to deliver on multiple occasions, and for multiple different policies. The fact that they refuse to accept any responsibility for their shortcomings says it all.To date I find that I have received much better service and more responsiveness to my needs for 4 Corners Insurance in Clermont. Give them a try and pass these clowns by.One last note.... I find it odd the owner of the company Tom Johnson would post a reply to my google review. This is because I emailed him personally at [email protected] to share my frustrations over the problems I was having getting insurance quotes...… Guess what... he never took the time to respond to my message or reach out to me at all.

Actually... your agent sent the quote to some other e-mail address you had on file, (not mine) and certainly not the one I used to email you. You also said he called me, which he never did. When I brought this to your attention, I heard nothing for 4 days. Then, when he finally did he email me he forgot to attach the quotes. I have all the emails to prove this. So youre excuses are without merit. Im sure you guys are good, you have lots of good reviews... but you completely blew it with me. And now, especially with your excuses and blame casting I strongly recommend avoiding you.

What a great experience! I was shopping for home insurance and they saved me almost a thousand dollars off my current company and still with a top company. Then they asked to see my auto insurance and next thing I knew they were saving me another $600.00. They are very quick to respond to any questions you may have. They now have all my insurances and Im sending my adult kids and others to them. Cant say enough good things about them.

I had a bad experience. Fair warning if you go with them. I got home insurance through them on 12/15. I got an email on 3/16 from Cynthia saying I need to purchase another $200-$300 in wind and roof reports. I replied asking why and I even attached the home inspection done a few months prior which clearly said the roof was in great shape. I got no reply. The following week I got a letter saying coverage is going to be canceled in two weeks. I was shocked and called and left messages never hearing anything back. I dont know what to say. Never been treated like that before by a company. Got insurance with another provider just fine. They said the roof was fine but some companies try to gauge you for things.

The mailer you sent out had misleading pricing on a homeowners quote. It also told us to call Tom for a quote, who apparently does NOT do quotes. The mailer needs work. Otherwise service and homeowner pricing was good.
