I love this park. It has all the things I enjoy doing. Great trails and plenary of lakes to explore
My review is based on my test and likening. If you find it useful. Please give a thumbs up.Thank youWe stayed 1st week of September. In our 38ft 5th wheel. We like to spend a lot of time camping.PROSS_ Campground is very clean. Very well maintained. The rangers and volunteers do a very nice job. The bathrooms are very clean . Grocery stores are very close. Publix , Winn Dixie, Aldi, Walmart. JCP.....And hardware stores._ Peacefully, Quiet._ Pet friendly._ Horse your riding experience was nice . The personal on charge were very nice . Horses were very well behaved. And easy to handel. My boys never rode a horse before , they loved 💕 it .P.S.Would be nice if they provide rides for more experienced riders as well.CONS_Almost all RV / Tent sites are in full Sun . Except (2) only 2 sites. We find it hard to stay outside. Wich digits the purpose of camping. In winter probably is much nicer.._ Unfortunately .Couldnt use the GROUPON deal on kayak/Bike rental . Cant make a reservation head to assure you can use them during your stay . To hot to be able to enjoy . Wich made me think if the park is open untill 8 pm .Why is that they kayak and bike is open so late and closes at 4pm. Florida is HOT. Is so much nicer after 3pm_ Bathrooms . Little be more private .Yes I will recommend this park for the winter months
This place is great. Its very secluded back away from everything. There are two lakes you can do various activities on such as kayaking and fishing! There are also horses here. My wife and daughter came here for labor day weekend and it was a great experience. Overall it was a lot of fun and would camp here again! I also noticed they have some cabins and worry free tent camping that are all setup for you to camp in.
Cleanest state park that i have been to. Plenty of things to do there.
Love the park and very quiet and great to spend time with family or friends.
I have lifetime pass for Florida State parks, so I love Lake Louisa. Its close 8 miles. It has 4 fishing lakes a couple which I havent tried...but Ill get to them. Great little campground area up at Hammond Lake. Rentals for bikes, kayaks, canoes...all with appropriate safety gear are available there as well. Horse rentals and stables also available. Fishing piers on most lakes. I dont believe bear Lake has one. Has barbecue area and picnic tables at Lake Louisa.
Best State Park in Florida. Mainly because of the awesome people who work here. Were there often and they remember us and treat us friendly and well.
Love it!!!! If you havent visited youre missing this beautiful place to stay. If you like the nature this is the place.
Lake Louisa State Park is a beautiful place, very quiet and secluded, there are two lakes and you can rent kayaks and bycicles. RV spaces are spaced out on gravel and even the big rigs fit. Some of the spaces have sewer hookups, for everybody else, there is a dump station. Reservations are required, the place is usually packed.
Staffing is not the best at accommodating. I was told to come back at 8 pm to see if I could get a walk in camp site? What? For what ever reason they have made the RV parking right next to the office personal parking instead of using the employee parking. What they have you do is drive to the overflow parking lot and return to the office. I really dont get it.The park is extremely nice ! Still one of our favorite places.
Second time in 10 years that we have been to this camp ground. Ample space, but still social. There are plenty of spots without being over crowded. We stayed in the RV lots this time, last time was in the cabins. They have 2 premium tents available to rent out. Cost per night runs $60-120 depending on season, and day of the week.We will definitely return to this wonderful hidden gem in Clermont.
What a beautiful place. Did the Segway tour with ranger Aubrey, amazing time and what a great person whos friendly & so knowledgeable. Must do !!
Great State park. Trails for walking or biking, horseback riding, canoe and kayak rentals, a great beach area. They have awesome camping options and very close to shops and restaurants for convenience.
Lots of area to explore and beautiful views. Campsites are semi secluded and gravel, which was great! I expected the surrounding foliage to be better maintained to allow for a game of corn hole or rollers, but, unfortunately, that isnt possible. Theres room, just too overgrown. And the dumpster is too far away. Were used to localized trash cans. But we will probably try it again.
Very nice campgrounds. Clean bathrooms. Tons of trails to hike. Kayak rentals, horse riding.
Very large campground, lots of lakes and nature to enjoy
Its not why I expected. Have nothing to have fun. I went to many state park and this one is not the best one.
Its a beautiful place site 29 is over looking the lake. Well off the main road but good road the hole way back in.
Clean and beautiful campground.
One is Floridas best, and spacious, parks, especially for those that enjoy off-road biking.
Very nice place to camp and spend a weekend
Pea rock gravel sites, some not level, lots of barky dogs, mosquitoes are voracious.
Great campground.
Sites have water, electric and very clean, nice bath house and flat sites. Quiet except for fireworks you can hear 8 miles away at Disney--no big deal though. Three lakes around the three campgrounds. Great place to do long runs.
Great location to meet with family and have a good time. Place has rental of bicycles, canoes, and more. Picnic areas around the lakes within the park make it enjoyable to stop and get a bite to eat before moving on the adventure. I would love to return and even stay at their campsites. Clean restrooms too!
Awesome park! Our camping site was on the lake so we had a great view the entire stay. Bathrooms were clean and all the rangers were friendly. We rented kayaks and used them in the small lake which was fun. We will definitely visit again!
Wonderful camping experience. The Rangers were friendly and knowledgeable. The fellow campers were friendly and talkative you can get a campsite right next to a lake Dixie Lake. About 3 miles down on state property is the beach of Lake Louisa you can swim there all day rent a kayak or canoe and you can go 3-4 miles up to Lake Minnehaha and with a canoe I checked out about 6 of The Chain of Lakes just a wonderful experience unfortunately it rain 3 out of 4 days but the rain stops and you can still do activities
Wounderful state park. Great camping sites
Nice. Very sunny. Camping has quite a lack of trees. We also why kayaking in a small lake. Just a big circle. Cabins look very nice. Most with water views.
Was a great spot, very quiet, clean and affordable. Beautiful lakes on both sides, canoe and kayak rental. Little ways from Downtown Orlando. Would recommend
Excellent State Park campground near Kissimmee and Disney. Big rig friendly, including several 40 - 50 pull thru sites. Some sites have full hookups, but most are water and electric only. All are 50 amp. $13. For FL resident seniors.
Really enjoy this state park. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Good hikes and you can rent bikes and kayaks for the 3 lakes.
This was a great stop spent two nights extremely quiet its worth the stay staff friendly canoeing and hiking available you can even go over for the day
Beautiful park with great biking trails. We camped here (rv) overnight and loved it! We’re coming back and bringing our dogs :)
Clean. Well kept. Other campers nice. Helpful staff. Hard to get into because of road construction but well worth it.
A truely beautiful state park with many attractive things to occupy any and all campers. Serious watching for native creatures, trees, and all around beauty. You wont be disappointed.
Super quiet and one of the most beautiful state parks we have camped at. Its also close to Disney. Reserve early - they are often booked out months in advance.
Beautiful cottages .large hills and valleys . Hot. Hot. Camping. No pool. Florida. No swimming pool. Swimming with the gators. For real. They advertise swimming. Dangerous. Big huge wide deep river with beware of alligators sign right next to beach ,small , middle of weeds were alligators do hide. Swing sets and playground located dangerously next to swampy alligator infested . Code enforcement needs to put an end to this madness. No one was at the beach or playground. Campers in tents and trailers were complaining about no where to swim. Most people would not swim here. But for those from Michigan were their is no alligators.........if they had a swimming pool,,and a no swimming in the river sign, and a big fence around the playground I would then give this place 5 stars. You who read this should check this unique and beautiful place out. It will take at least an hour. Make sure you follow the swim signs....just dont. Swim.
Only 5 bucks to roam around the whole park. Canoeing was fun! And the cabins looked very nice.
Great secluded campsites with plenty of room to park our van and a 20 ft boat. Clean bathrooms, a cabana to rent bikes and kayaks. Horse trails, some hiking trails and a small swimming beach on lake lousia. One draw back for us was no boat ramp to access the lake.
This is our third Park that weve stayed at first with Simmons Park II was Menard Park Third Lake Louisa State Park far the best so far beautiful real camping you can see the stars its absolutely wonderful we will be back were going to Alafia State Park and we might come back here for 15 days I only booked in this time we have our grandson he loves it
Beautiful camping area. Enjoyed being with my niece (Leslie) and her husband (Ray) for an overnight visit.
Rode bikes around park. Enjoyed
Clean restroom, to many lily pads for fishing though. Great tent camping area
Our local go to place for R&R. Beautiful, we enjoy every minute here.
The volunteers are the best! Check out their butterfly garden. Plenty of fun for horses too.
Nice and peaceful place. Very clean bathhouses. Large campsites with privacy. Hope to visit again.
Peaceful and remote. Camping is quiet and friendly folks!
Since youre mostly nice summer fairly close together, huge park with lots of trails
Camping spots were level and very clean bath house. Clamping options, kayak rentals and docks to do as you need.
Great fun !!!
Loved the lakes, cleanest location, Rangers were curtious. WILL definately come back!
Quiet, very peaceful. Great place to hike, canoe and kayak, and chill and read.
Beautiful park. Campsites are nice and showers and restrooms are very clean.
Great place to camp with lots of space! Perfect location! We love it!
Fishing and hiking kayak horse back trails galore...has a awesome time
Great place near home for camping and have fun with family and nature.
Nearly 20 miles of well kept multiuse trails provide plenty of room to roam.
Bugs. But really natural. Turtles deer and crocodiles
Outstanding state park; however, some of the pull through sites are tight for a large motorhome 42
Kove this place. So relaxing. Fishing available. Kayaks available to rent.
Some sites are narrow if you have 4 slides. Very pretty park.
Nice and quiet, not much to do. No trees in RV / camper camping area.
Very clean, very pretty, very very friendly park operators. I dont suggest coming in the summer not too much shade available but perfect for the fall and winter.
Love this park: quiet, peaceful, well trimmed trees, nice facilities.
Lovely campground with nice bathroom and shower facilities.
Loved the camp ground it is really quiet but unless you have an RV I wouldnt suggest tents. There is hardly any shade
Beautiful park.
Nice park with good shade at the camping sites.
Awesome state park. Private sites available.
Beautiful park, great for biking (road and trail) and kayaking!!!
Very nice place to camp and to enjoy the nature.
Awesome place to visit. Camp for the night or just fish on one of the 5 lakes.
Clean, Quiet, Convenient! Very friendly staff, miles and miles to walk or hike.
Nice campground,alittle close together
Great park with outdated but clean cabins. They are getting low in dishes and utensils, and ours did not have any dish soap.
