Timely reminders, Cordial Staff. Professional Assistants. My Appointment was on time and there was no waiting. Cory was pleasant, professional, thorough and explained all the procedures he performed. Hes certainly an asset to the practice. Of course Dr. Boyce was thorough, professional, took time to explain the exam and answer my questions. The staff in the Optical department were extremely helpful, had great suggestions and were prepared to answer questions about frames, fit and the insurance coverage, etc. A great experience and certainly the best in the area, in my opinion.

The employees of Eye Site of Tampa Bay all appear to love their jobs and have true investment that each patient is comfortable, well informed and efficiently moved through a complex and intimidating process. While no person would volunteer to avail these services, I am thrilled to be in the care and protection of such a dedicated group of professionals. And of course Dr. Knauff is the best, period.

Eye Site is very friendly. But I do have one compliment. In those small room where test your vision looking at the white dots. There is no circulation and it gets very warm. For a person like which have heart problems I need air. But other than that it is great place to get your eyes check!

We had a Great experience for our first eye appointments! My husband and I had previously established with another doctor but we felt very rushed and like they just wanted us “ in and out”! Since I am hoping to use contacts that was too rushed for me. We are mid 40s. Dr. Boyce and her entire staff were so Friendly and Kind and took all the time we needed. She was very honest about RX, surgery options, where to get best lenses etc. This was exactly what we were looking for in an Optometrist!! 😊😎👓

The only negative part of my visit was the staff member coming into the waiting area and calling out “Lowitt?” I consider that a violation of my privacy, if not of HIPAA laws. The staff member should have called out “Bruce?” If there’s more than one Bruce, the staff member can approach one of them and ask, quietly, for his last name. I have no idea (especially with everyone masked) who else is in the waiting area of any medical facility, but one thing I do not want is a public announcement that I am there.Please reply, confirming that your staff will conduct themselves in this manner, respecting my (and everyone’s) privacy.Thank you.

My mom has been attending this clinic for many years. Dr. Knauf is her doctor and mine. He is caring, knowledgeable, a problem solver and skillful.

One of the most efficient and professional medical groups I have ever seen for medical care. I informed the technician of the Issues I was having, and they knew exactly how extensive of an examination was needed. After a series of tests, Dr.Knauf was able to diagnose that I had cataracts in both eyes! No one ever looks forward to surgery, but I have so much confidence in Dr.Knauf, I am excited to get the procedures performed and be able to see again!!

First started going there when I had an eyelid issue. They are professional, know how to deal with issues of the eye and around the eye. My right eye one morning was completely swollen shut, no previous issues, no physical injury. They diagnosed the issue, provided care steps and resolved the issue. Very happy with their service.

The building is very friendly and easily marked from the street. I am a first time patient so there was some cursory paperwork to complete. As per my request at the time I called to make the appointment, they had sent me this in advance. The inside was beautiful, not looking at all like a doctors office, more like a nice hotel lobby,complete with fresh coffee. The front counter staff were very friendly and discreet. I was called back within 5 minutes and a very nice man worked very carefully, but efficiently to perform the pre- examination procedures. He cleaned everything prior to my use and also after he handled anything. All of the latest equipment made for a very noninvasive exam. He was polite and quick, informing me that the Dr. would be in shortly.The Dr. did in fact come in within ten minutes. An assistant with laptop recorded all of the Drs findings during the exam. Again, the latest technology and supreme knowledge by the staff made this a thorough and patient friendly exam. The entire experience took about an hour and I left feeling confident in the Doctor and the staff. I would recommend this Optometrist to everyone.

I was very disappointed that I had a 30 minute wait for my appointment. Overall experience was good.

If you want to wait (minimum) 90 minutes come here! This is WITH an appointment. The poor souls that come in as a walk-in will be here over night waiting to get seen. Terrible organization amongst the staff, very lacking in time management, and just an overall bad experience for the 3rd time. For your sake.... I recommend ANYWHERE else but here.

Worst experiences ever. I visited the office over 5 times to get my classes, “correct” the prescription when they never retested my eyes only took my last prescription and put it in my glasses. From the first visit Dr. Boyce wasn’t pleasant. For a high end practice their service doesn’t match. The only person that really worked with me was Ronda. The owner of the practice was very rude towards me when he said “you’re 18 you don’t need glasses”. Dr. Boyce prescribed me a prescription and then the owner of the practice said i don’t need any. I’ve been calling for a week trying to talk with someone about how I can get all the money I spent on glasses “I don’t need” back because now I’m stuck with glasses that aren’t right and not being able to see. Before you go here, go somewhere else. Customer service sucks

I felt like a product on an assembly line. I was abruptly passed from person to person and station to station and I did not feel like an individual. When I saw the opthalmologist he was very short with me and vague on his explanations. He spent less than 3 minutes examining me, explaining my condition, and options. When he explained my options he did not fully inform me of the seriousness of the surgical procedure and side effects. He warned me of potential hazards much like a radio announcer goes over the legal rules of a contest - incomprehensibly fast. I thought this was a quick healing procedure and that I would be back to normal within a day. The day after the procedure I discovered that it was expected to take several days or weeks to heal. The office never gave me detailed post operational instructions in writing. They did go over it verbally and quickly while I was still in quite a bit of pain but did not give any details and did not tell me to keep ice on my eye until I called the next day and complained.This office has MUCH need for improvement.

My husband and I have been treated by both Dr.Knaupf and Dr. Lusk for over 15 years. We are very fortunate to have such a skilled team of eye professionals in our area. Time is taken with each patient to explain the exam and the condition. The doctors are up-to-date with knowlede. In addition, the office is run smoothly and the caliber of the staff is high. One specific technician we have seen many times is Lance. His skill in an eye exam is top-notch and his treatment of each patient sets a high standard for techs everwhere. The Optical office staff is excellent. We have been seen numerous times by Trish. In her capable hands, we always feel we will get the right frames that work best for our face. This is a win-win place for eye care. Dont expect to be in and out in 15 minutes. Each patient gets total care. No one will slap a band-aid on a boo-boo and give you a pat on your head and send you home. Thoroughness is what is done in this office.

I have been a patient for several years. I have always felt I got the best of care with Dr. Boyce in contact lens fitting and most recently Dr. Knauf performed cataract surgery and with a lens implant relieved me of my astigmatism problem and corrected my vision to a point glasses or contacts are not required. I couldnt be happier with the care to achieve the optimum goals for me. I highly recommend their services when you are in need of eye care. They take the time with you as a patient. Dr. Lusk was amazing. She waited up for me to come in on an emergency basis after 4pm due to my eye injury being so painful. She introduced me to a new bandaid style lens to put on my eye while it healed. Immediately after she inserted the lens into my eye the pain subsided and I was able to go to work the next day and sleep like nothing was wrong with my eye that night. Then due to my schedule restraint she was able to squeeze me in on a Friday morning to remove the lens and had me out of the office in 30 mins so I would not be late for work. I didn’t even notice that she removed the lens because my eye had healed so well it feels amazing. Thank you so much Dr. Lusk and her team for being patient and kind with me and my injury. I would recommend Eye Site of Tampa Bay ten times over. Do not suffer with unnecessary eye pain! Make an appointment with Dr. Lusk!!

Experience was great only comment is the location needs a rack for securing bicycles

There was a significant lack of efficiency that resulted in an hour wasted to see the provider. Intake by the technician resulted in an error being noted and the information had to be restated to the provider on multiple occasions. They stated this wait time was normal because it takes 30 minutes to dilate the eye, however; my eye did not require dilation. If they scheduled patients based on their procedures needed then this could be easily avoided. This is very disrespectful of the patients time. It took 30 minutes after the scheduled appointment to even be called back by the technician for the intake that had to be redone with the provider.

Do not understand TriCare referrals. Would not see me for the needed care stating TriCare did not provide correct referral. After speaking to TriCare and TriCare reading the exact words on the referral, it was clear the representatives at eye site have little experience with TriCare and do not read the referrals.

I was referred to Dr Knauf at Eye Site of Tampa Bay by my eye doctor for an ongoing eye infection that we just couldnt seem to get ahold of and get cleared up. I was told to come from my Dr. Straight over to Eye Site of Tampa Bay . I thought for sure This was going to be an all day affair because they squeezed me in. Much to my suprise...I waited less time then I would of to check out at Target!!From the minute I walked in the door I was treated with the Utmost respect . All the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful!After seeing Dr. Knauf it was apparent as to why I was referred to him by my eye Dr. He was so knowledgeable yet humble. I had to go to re checked every few days, and he never changed...he was always friendly, professional and open to listen to my questions (no matter how stupid they were)Dr. Knauf always made me feel at ease when I was listening to him and his plan of action to get my eye healed. (And believe me...I was a mess going in to EVERY appointment ) You just know your in the hands of an amazing Doctor, and no matter how long the road...it was going to be okay in the end!I ended up having a Full tissue Corneal Transplant, and as scary as that may normally sound...I truly was never uncomfortable or worried...I KNEW I was in the hands of greatness...and the process went abnormally smooth (as has been my experience with Eye Site of Tampa Bay from DAY ONE). I am now on the mend, and more thankful everyday that I was put into the path of this Facility and Dr.Knauf!Thank You all for the Expertise care you provided to your patiets!!!!

I have been going here for 3 years and always have had an unpleasant visit with the doctors with Dr.Knauff and the female doctor. They either talk down to me because of my age or try to rush and not let me get a question in even though I spent the money and took time off work to be seen. Im seriously disappointed with my experience here .

Dr. Herbert Knauf gave me excellent result with cataract surgery. I have never seen better.

So I tried out this eye doctor office based upon proximity to home, but boy did I make a mistake in coming here. The visit itself was average, and I would have given a 3 star review if not for what happened afterwards. I received my eyeglasses prescription, and afterwards, looked at their selection of frames. I could not find a pair that fit my head (i have a melon), so I decided to check out Lenscrafters, where I found the perfect frame for me. After my glasses came in, I noticed that the prescription seemed to be off in the left eye, so the first thing I did was go back to Lenscrafters to have the glasses checked. After thorough examination, they found that the prescription that was written matched the lenses exactly, and they stated that most eye doctors would do a vision re-test in cases such as this, and that they would HAPPILY remake my glasses for me at no cost. This is where the trouble really begins.....I contact Eyesite of Tampa Bay, and the lady that I spoke with immediate got a snotty tone with me when I explained the situation to her. She said, Oh.....so you didnt buy the glasses from us...... I stated that she was correct, and that I had already had the glasses checked for accuracy, and that i needed my left eye re-checked. She said that I needed to COME IN TO THEIR OFFICE TO PICK UP A TROUBLESHOOTING FORM TO TAKE BACK TO LENSCRAFTERS TO FULLY FILL OUT, AND ONLY THEN WOULD THEY DO ANYTHING TO HELP ME. I am appalled that they would run their business like this, and essentially hold THEIR PATIENTS eye health hostage, and begrudge patients that do not buy glasses directly from them. If I could give this place a zero star review, I would. I am simply disgusted and disappointed. Thanks for nothing, and a garbage eye exam Eyesite of Tampa Bay.......I will NOT be back, and I hope that others heed my warning when considering your shady practice.
