Went to the salon with shoulder length hair. Wanted hair styling and trim. The cut and style were a disaster. Went back to correct the cut but it. Is not much better. I have never had such a mismanaged and horrible hair cut. I am very uncomfortable with the short short hair cut. Never did I have such short hair. It has been a nightmare. I am hoping for it to grow quickly with the passing of each day. Absolutely a horrifying experiences!!!

I am new to the area and was looking for a new place and stylist. I found it! Very clean, professional, friendly and my stylist Nicole was awesome! She did a great job and I was all over the board trying to decide and articulate what I wanted. Bonus, it’s less than two miles from my home. I already have my next appointment for another cut, style and color. I highly recommend, check them out in Largo!

This is my favorite place to get a haircut. I have wavy weird hair that has a mind of its own. I use to choose really bad haircuts that didnt work out right. Kristina knows what to do to make it look right and the best ways to manage my hair.

Maxine is super friendly and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to color. Im From Chicago and been in Florida for 3 years. Spent hundreds of dollars on color, no one could get the color I described and showed pictures of. Maxine got it exactly how i wanted on my first visit. Also, my haircut turned out perfect and she I received many compliments.

Im beyond disappointed with my experience at Salon West Clearwater. Ive been coming to the different Salon West branches for years, but after this experience I cant say that I will ever return or recommend them to anyone. I scheduled an appointment for a cut and color and every aspect of my hair was completely botched. My haircut ended up looking nothing like my reference picture or what I asked my stylist for; I even pointed out that parts didnt look right during the cut, which the stylist then barely tweaked and then moved on from. In reference to the dye job, I asked to go a bit closer to my natural color so that my hair wouldnt look as odd for grow out (my hair was currently dyed a dark brown and I wanted to transition back to a medium brown) and it came out AWFUL. By the time I got home and was able to look in the mirror I noticed my hair had about 4 separate colors in it, and was left nearly in tears. Im shocked that the stylist saw the result of her dye job and didnt do anything to correct it.I spent $177 to get my hair completely destroyed and had to schedule an appointment with another salon the fix the mistakes Salon West made, and the new salon was able to give me exactly what I had asked for the first time. I have no desire to ever return and Im beyond frustrated by the poor results and money wasted at this salon.

So in love with my haircut! Amber was my stylist and she absolutely nailed and perfected the look I wanted. The salon its-self is really clean and well organized. The receptionist was really sweet. Such a great experience. I’ll gladly become a loyal client!

A. couple of weeks ago I had my hair cut and styled buy new Talent Krissy, she was amazing she went over a bunch of different photos with me that were similar to what I brought in, went over in detail what I wanted and expected to be able to do with my hair and we made some choices together. now after being able to play with my hair on my own and see what I could actually achieve I have to say I am beyond thrilled whether I quickly brush it and run out the door or I take the time to manipulate it perfectly the way she did it always looks great and I get tons of compliments this is by far one of the best haircuts I have ever had. In the salon was great ,they had some great precautions in place to keep customers separated and was extremely clean and a friendly comforting environment will definitely be going back. :-) 5stars.

My daughter had an appointment set up for her high school graduation ceremony. Emma the stylist decided that she would run late and that we would be 5 minutes before the ceremony would start. I not sure why they would need 2 and half hours to make a stylist but I would never use this place. Very disappointed on their time management and the worst part of this they called 30mins before her appointment. I wish they owner would find time to speak with their customers. 100 employees is no excuse to have time to speak with the people that feed you and your family. The company I work for has over a 1000 employees and 6 different locations nation wide and still has the time to reply to Facebook post and call customers. What a shame on the owners part for not knowing how their business is being run!!!!!!

Nothing to write home about. Hair cut so so but expensive.

Maxine is the only person I trust to cut my hair. I have a short cut which is very difficult to get right. I struggled finding a stylist who could consistently cut my hair the way I was wanting. Maxine was the 9th stylist I had gone to over the last 8 years and she is the only one I will continue to go to. She gets my cut correct every single time and does an amazing job on my color as well. I highly recommend Maxine.

I felt welcomed and safe, as I entered the salon. The reception was warm, welcoming and respectful. Patty is an artist and hair is her medium. She looked at my pictures, listened to my ideas, studied my hair and after an AHmazing shampoo (head massage), she gave me the cut and style I has imagined. I highly recommend Salon West, and especially, I recommend Patty.

I have been going to Salon West Clearwater for about a year now and I love it! I have had services from both Rachel and Kelly, they are both phenomenal! They go over the costs with you before hand and they have in-depth knowledge to explain what they are doing and how you can do it at home.

Details and service v good. High-end salon. Has 5 levels of stylists. 5=extremely priced. They start you w level 1 or 2 but soon that stylist prices will go up up up. Be aware.

Their facilities are always clean and their staff is always friendly. My appointments have been on time on every occasion and I have never had a cancellation. I have been going to Salon West for over 10 years now. I recently started seeing a new stylist (Kelly) and shes been amazing. So far, shes been consistently on time, she does exactly what I ask for, as far as cut and color goes. She is super friendly and easy to talk to. The other employees at the salon are always friendly and welcoming when I am checking in/out. The salon has always been clean, but even more so now with the COVID-19 pandemic. Love Salon West.

Salon West is absolutely amazing and professional from Olivia at the front desk to Amber who did my hair. I’ve been hesitant since covid to go to a salon. They wear face masks and check everyone’s temperature at the door, which made me feel safe. I dyed my hair at home and destroyed it! There were blotches and it was orange and I missed a bunch of spots! Amber performed emergency maintenance and did damage control! She completely fixed everything and was a miracle worker! My hair has never looked this good! It’s a georgeous place and the staff is so professional, so nice and do such an amazing job!! I highly recommend this salon!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The absolute best hair salon in the Clearwater area, Kelly has been doing my hair for years and the only stylist I trust with my color! I always recommend all my friends and family to Salon West, they are always very professional and the salon is always clean.

Ive been bringing my daughter to salon west for years. It was great at first. Customer service has gone way downhill. They have lost my appointments multiple times. Ive driven 40 minutes for an appointment on THREE separate occasions only to have them tell me I never had an appointment. This has happened at both the Largo and the Safety Harbor locations. I just found out there was a third location and called to make an appointment. I was treated rudely and hung up on.

I recently had the best massage and facial ever which was performed by Kayla! The massage was awesome and truly the best one I ever have received! First, Kayla had a chat with me regarding my problem areas, the amount of pressure I preferred and my expectations. She was extremely attentive. The massage was perfect and even gave me chills. She worked my problem areas and at the same time making the massage relaxing as well! I highly highly recommend her....awesome amazing service! In addition, the facial was excellent too. She is very knowledgeable and is eager to share it and educate! After the facial, she was kind enough to show me different skin care and makeup products. And she was so patient in answering my zillion questions. I am booking massages for all my loved ones with Kayla! I cant say enough about her!!!!!

Britanny was fantastic. It was the first time I had my hair cut since I moved from Brazil and I´m very peculiar because my hair is thin but very curly. She made the hair cut look young and perfect. My son´s hair is also very curly and he had a royal treatment!! Thanks a lot for taking such good care of us.

I just moved here from Virginia and I wanted to try something new so, I gave this salon a shot . Don’t get me wrong everyone was nice and took care of me but they messed up my hair so bad. I even showed the girl a picture of what I wanted and explained to her what it was that I wanted . It still turned out horribly and she did things to my hair that I never even asked for.It made me break into tears . I’ve never had my hair done 1,000 of times but this is the worst . I will be going back tomorrow to ask someone fix it or to get a refund .

My hair was long and getting stringy after four years without a cut. Amber listened to what I wanted and did a very nice job with my trim. She also recommended products I could use without damage if I wanted to add some temporary color. I was a little shocked at a price of $64 but after four years I think it was worth it.

I have been a client for 5+ years, and have never had a bad haircut or color. Kelly is the best! I have been every shade of blonde (literally!) and she always has me looking fabulous. The massage chairs at the sink station are amazing! I always feel fantastic when I’m leaving and look forward to my appointments!

Salon West is a great salon. My hair always looks great when I leave. They treat you like a queen. It is not the most affordable salon, but you get what you pay for. I gave a 4 star review because a few times they have charged me for additives and/or treatments that I did not know they were doing until I paid. They should tell you what they are doing prior to doing it and if a special additive is going to be used, the price should be disclosed at that time.

The staff is always friendly and attentive. Punctuality never a problem. The stylist are great. Rarely get a bad haircut, if a problem they are quick to amend. They offer drinks, hand massage and massage chairs. All well done.

My first visit to the Salon after moving to the area. Cathy was AMAZING. She listened to me explain what I wanted which was probably a bit overwhelming with my short hair. I love her patience and her willingness to make me feel amazing! Thanks for the fantastic cut.

I came here for a haircut in the very first person I met was a stylist named Denise. For the last year she has been the amazing Guru that managed my crazy Main. I just found out this past week that Denise is no longer with the company. Salon West did offer to introduce me to to new stylist that they felt would compare to Denise with my particular style. And they also offered me 50% off visit. I appreciate that and will definitely. Ill be back to edit on my new experience and if Ill be returning again.

I visited Salon West on Saturday for cut and color with Kelly. I left my old salon after 3 years because my stylist moved to North Carolina. Dont let the storefront location fool you this salon is very nice inside. The waiting area was clean and welcoming and the staff checked me in upon arrival and asked if I wanted a drink. Kelly also asked if I wanted anything before we got started. She took a few minutes to find out what I wanted and she always walked me through what she was doing. They even gave me a price quote before we got started. This was nice because there was no surprise at the end. She trimmed my hair and cleaned up the layers. I dont do much with the cut. My color was amazing! She really listened to what I wanted and got it exactly right. It looked even better when I got in my car out of the salon lighting. I will be back for sure! So glad I found Kelly and this salon. I had shopped at Publix for over a year and never even noticed it.

Went here on a whim as I really needed a haircut. I never even checked the price and sometime during the scalp massage/shampoo in the massage chair I was thinking this is going to be $50+, oh well, Im enjoying it. I was shocked when the total was $23! Made my next appointment right there and then and bought a gift card for my wife. Ana was great!

Ive been going to Salon West at least 15 years back when it was Somers and Company. Many of the same experienced people are still there. Doug, the Manager was mentored by Patty who I saw for years and through his training and leadership is now managing the salon. It is awesome to see such talent arise at this salon for those of us tenured, with not so easy curly hair and color to deal with over the years. Always friendly, concerned, and concentrated service if offered to guests. I highly recommend Salon West, especially Doug and Patty for your hair needs.

Horrible experience not only once but twice.I moved here from Mn. Went there to get my hair cut and colored, they would not cut it, they said it was to fine to cut and would not work out. The color and highlights both times were not what I asked for.I only went back a second time because they said they would put me with a more advanced stylist free of charge. Same results.

I was having serious hair loss issues due to an illness. Patty was recommended to me by one of her customers. Not only did she address my concerns, but she colored my hair (it had not been holding the color), and it lasted for 6 weeks.  In addition, she advised me regarding hair products to use, and advised me that my hair was naturally curly and styled it accordingly. I have since been fortunate that my hair has begun to grow in thicker.  I have never been so happy  with my hair in my life.  Not only is she an expert hairstylist, but she is a very kind and compassionate person.  I am always so excited before my hair appointments because I feel very comfortable with the results.  She is a true gem, and I am forever grateful to her. I came here reading all of the good review but thats not what I got. My hair was long and I had split ends, so I came in and they put me with Brittany. I specifically asked her to not cut length from my hair but to shape it is a V. She cute over an inch if not 2 from my hair and cut it STRAIGHT. Not only was it straight but it was thick and straight, it looked tacky and was not at all what I asked for. Then I asked her for front bangs. She tells me I shouldnt do that and I should do this instead then cuts a huge piece of my hair from one side of my head and tells me its a side bang. This bang was no where near my face and she didnt finish cutting it! There are still long pieces in between the crappy straight UNNECESSARY cut. I came in asking for my hair cut into a V and front bangs. I got a straight Dora like cut with 2 inches off my hair and an unnecessary bang on the side of my head. I cant believe this, my hair was perfectly fine and now I cant even wear it down because its not fixed. If youre planning on going to this place, ask about their experience

Been going to Salon West for a few years now. The staff is always very polite, happy, and helpful. The store is very clean and kept up to a good modern standard. Kathy, who does my haircuts, is exceptional. She always cuts my hair perfect every time, just how I ask. I wont be going anywhere else.

Holly is absolutely a miracle worker!!!!! I was ready to chop off all my hair for a shorter style as I am getting ready to go into cosmetology school school myself and I am very happy with the way it came out !!! She also glossed over my existing highlights with a warm tone that when I looked in the mirror in my car I noticed immediately how well it enhanced my skin tone and features and everyone said “something about you has changed in a good way and that I look more lively !!!!” . She is very professional and I love her input on the hair industry would highly recommend her to anyone!!!!! The staff and atmosphere is also amazing!!!

Kelly & Holly at the Clearwater location are both amazing. While dealing with some very difficult health issues Holly offered to braid my hair before I went in for another surgery. After undergoing so many surgeries and anesthesia my long hair was very damaged. Kelly knew the best option was to cut many inches off. While I was sad, she made me feel beautiful and did a fabulous job on my hair. I have gotten tons of compliments since cutting it. Kelly has helped me over the last 9 months to strengthen my hair while blending in the parts that had broken off and covered up the areas that had thinned due to illness. I am very thankful for both ladies and highly recommend them!

Christine knows exactly what I want and is amazing stylist. All the ladies are great. Huge selection of hair supplies. They make you very comfortable. I go to Clearwater location on McMullen Booth. Will never go anywhere else.

The amount of money I have spend in salons, this was my most favorite experience at a salon in my life and for a great price! The service was beyond excellent from the front desk till departure. My hairdresser/hair stylist, Brittany, was amazing! I had fear of getting bangs for a while and she gave me confidents it would looks good with facial feature. Im happy I went with it. I decided to stop in to check this salon out since it is right next to my job, and I am so glad I did! From the moment you step into the salon, you are greeted by friendly staff. Very nice lounge area, very clean and very reasonable prices as well - I have long hair that usually costs $50+, however I was able to get a cut and style for under $40.Kailah was the stylist who cut my hair, and she did an amazing job! I loved receiving a thank you card in the mail, it shows just how dedicated to customer service they truly are. I will definitely be heading back, and I highly recommend!

Kristina did an amazing job on my hair. She spent 20 minutes just talking about the color I wanted and how I usually styled my hair. She picked a natural perfect Redken color and have my the style I wanted. I will definitely be back to see her in 8 weeks!

Ive been going to Salon West for a few years now & love this salon better than any other one Ive tried previously in the area. The atmosphere is great and the new massage chairs in the hair washing station are awesome! I get highlights & a keratin treatment every time and am thankful there is wine & snacks to pass the time! Maxine is wonderful & I highly recommend her for color & cut.

This salon is very nice and I love my stylist Maxine. I always look for a salon that uses Redkin hair color as it stays in my red hair, which is prone to fading, the longest. The salon is very comfortable and the staff efficient and friendly. No complaints here.

Hair turned out good! The lady I went to waxed my eyebrows, and it was my first time... I was so excited and when she showed me what they looked like I wanted to burst out in tears. One of them looked decent but the brow had been basically ripped off at the end. They were so uneven, and one looked about half the size of the other. She refunded the cost for the eyebrows, but I will never go back to her.

Kelly S is amazing. I see her every 8 weeks or so for cut and color. She takes her time to talk me through my ideas and her suggestions are always way better than what I was imagining. I am to the point now where I just tell Kelly to do whatever she wants with my color because I have zero doubts that it will exceed my expectations. The salon is clean, staff is friendly and they always offer drinks and snacks and even an arm massage while your color processes if you want. They overcharge for a blow dry! Not worth it! I was a client for many years and my stylist moved. The standard rate is $35.00 to $41.00 then $50.00. I wish I would have eliminated the tip. Go to Aveda. They are better and more reasonable!

Last time we had an appointment they never scheduled us. we drove 40 minutes only to find out our appointment was never scheduled.edit: this exact same thing happened again today. will not be going to this location ever again. giving the west bay location a try for a while before ditching this chain altogether.
