Everyone here are very kind and helpful. The front desk ladies were so kind. I waited 9 minutes. I filled out the new patient forms before I went. I saw Dr Alioto who was great. He spent a lot of time with me and conducted a thorough exam. I got a shot and all my pain was gone. I followed up with his PA who was great. I would highly recommend this practice based on my experience.

I started coming to this office in 2019. I saw Dr. Tayrose. I was having planter fasciitis pain in my foot along with Achilles tendinitis. He was so kind. Such a nice guy who listens and is very sympathetic. He gave me a shot but that’s not something you can keep getting so he referred me to his partner, Dr. Alioto. Dr. A gave me a shot but that’s nothing you can keep getting so operated February 2020. He’s a fun doctor. He’s not very chatty. He’s direct and to the point. He kinda reminds me of Robert De Niro lol. I could see him saying “Never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut. “ These two are great. If you get either you’re in good hands. My surgery was a success. I had quite a bit of swelling for some time and my PT was cut short due to Covid. But I’m great now. Now it’s in my other foot! I’m skeptical of another surgery. No fault to them but just the home life after surgery is exhausting. Now on to my 8 year old grandson. He hurt his arm doing a cartwheel. Urgent care referred us to my place! I was very happy about that. He broke his elbow. I didn’t specify a doctor when I made the appointment because I’m sure they’re all wonderful and I was right. He got Dr. Leininger. Super nice guy who answered all my questions and bedside manner with my grandson was great. His nurse was great also. A champ and wrapping his cast. Looks awesome!Three doctors so far and they’ve all been superb as well as the nurses. Even the receptionists are very friendly. I’ve had my share of rude ones who hate their job but these ladies are so kind and helpful. So I don’t think you can go wrong here. I think I have two more doctors until I’ve seen them all but I think my odds are good.

Love this office and staff. Has surgery woth Alioto, and have my follow up with his pa. Both are super informative and open for all questions I have. They’re a busy office, so bring some patience in the waiting room (or go early in the morning).

Walked in with pain and left with pain. I saw actual orthopedic surgeon a few days later instead of a PA (which I saw at UNC and did very little to explain possible causes of the pain) and orthopedic doctor was able to diagnose the cause of my shoulder pain from just reading the radiology report from my X-ray. I was able to get a steroid shot and I feel back to normal. No unneeded MRI and then a follow up appt to decide on a shot or PT. I guess i was supposed to sit around in pain eating OTC pain meds which did very little. Seems like i could have been given a shot that day if the xray/radiology report had been read correctly.

Terrible customer service, my husband is sitting around in terrible pain waiting on an MRI authorization to be sent to his insurance. I call for status and they stated I cant tell you when we will submit it the request for authorization. They have not even sent it to our insurance. The individual I spoke to would provide no timeline.

I have been seeing Dr. Alioto for about 10 years for a variety of things and he has always helped me. Office staff is very nice. I would refer everyone to this office. Most bad reviews are people who dont hear what they want to. He is a little busy but its because he is good at what he does.

I love this place and staff!!! Dr. Tayrose is awesome! He fixed my right hand and I am going back soon for hip replacement. I trust Dr. Tayrose and staff at UNC Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and I am glad he will be doing my hip replacement surgery. Dr. Tayrose rocks!!!!

I had appointment for my knee today. MRI showed I have a torn meniscus, a ruptured popliteal cyst and some arthritis. I waited in waiting room over an hour. Once I got in room, Dr. Tayrose came in and stayed about 5-10 minutes. Examined my knee and asked few questions. Then he said I need a total knee replacement. I was stunned. He never mentioned the tear or the ruptured cyst. He said I was too old for arthroscopic surgery.I worked in orthopedics for 11 years and I know that I DO NOT need a total replacement. He wanted to make some big money, but I told him I won’t having a replacement unless my knee got a lot worse. So then he gave me an order for PT.He has a very poor bedside manner. I won’t be going back. I’m going to find someone else to treat me, who is interested in helping me, not just making money.
