Joe and Jared (and cant remember the other guys name, sorry!!) did an amazing job! We have a 70+ year old (2,000 sq ft) home we bought and are remodeling.. our house wiring was not safe and needed a complete rewire for most of the house! CMC replaced our breaker box, replaced our meter box.. and rewired several rooms, removing very old wiring and replacing with new wiring. They also installed a couple new outlets. It was a very big job, and not an easy one Im sure! ...I would Highly recommend CMC Electric!! They did an amazing job, from the lady calling to schedule and coordinating with Duke power to shut our power off and back on.. to text messages assuring us when our electricians would arrive each day, to the electricians letting us know everything they were doing! ...We have plans to have them back to add some more outlets, and move some wiring in rooms we plan to remodel in the coming weeks. Would highly recommend CMC Electric to anyone!

Jared and his trainee (I missed his name, sorry!) arrived early in the estimated time window. They were polite and informative. I walked them through the changes I wanted to make and they advised me accordingly. This was the estimate for the project to which they were within my hoped budget so that was a bonus as well. Paid a lot of money to have issue with breaker fixed. They said there was no issue but now, breaker is off again. Agent that came over was great. Stars would be higher if issue had been fixed.Taylor came back today (next day) and replaced the breaker. She is awesome. So far, so good.

Tim came to check an appliance power outlet that had been sparking and upon clearing it for use of future appliances he asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I mentioned my kitchen pendant lights that were deemed inoperable by another company (Michael and Sons). He got them working in no time and installed the lights too! What a blessing! Thank you!

Chase and Eric made me feel much more at ease by answering all my questions and explaining everything in detail. They even went above and beyond by staying late and waiting for the utility company to arrive and flip the power back on (they didnt have to since the generator was providing the power). This made me feel safe and secure that nothing would go wrong with the utility company. Tim J. diagnosed and fixed many electrical issues throughout our house that existed for years that have been major sources of frustration. He systematically fixed each and every issue that included several 3-4 way light wiring issues. There were also quite a few outlet and light switch boxes that posed safety hazards to our children he repaired very quickly. He did a great job of identifying a bad wire in the smoke detectors. Great custimer service and extremely personable. But had to call back because smoke detector started to chirp again. I am sure he will find to problem. Definitely grateful for his knowledge and skill.

Mr Moore did a wonderful job well worth the money. He replaced a flood light and installed a surge protector for my house The surge protector ws on sale too, thats a big help if your retired , Thank you CMC and Mr MooreI had them come back to replace smoke detectors and a back light that had a defect and did not work right. They did great work , fast , polite and worth every penny I paid them Ill use them again too.The new back door light is working just great now, the smoke detectors are doing great, no problems. I am very happy with their work.

I initially contacted CMC about adding an 14-50 electrical outlet inside my garage. The customer service person indicated there would be $79 service call charge for the technician to provide the estimate. I asked her if that fee would be applied to the cost of the work if I decided to have them complete the job, her response was yes. When the technician arrived he reviewed the request then left to retrieve the necessary parts. If the customer has already indicated what part needs to be installed why wouldnt you bring the required parts with you? Once the install was completed I noticed the email receipt did not give me credit for the service call fee. When I contacted the office the next day to speak a manager, I was told that the first customer service person was mistaken about the fee being applied to the final bill. I requested to be contacted by management and now two months have passed without any contact. Based on their lack of communication and professionalism I would not recommend this company.** 7/16/21 After posting my initial review I was contacted by CMC. They agreed to refund the service call charge which satisfies my expectations.

My appointment was actually for a later date but I was thrilled that he could come out sooner! I havent made my decision about whether we will go with them yet (I have another quote to get) but his quote was really reasonable and I know that Im going to use them in the future. CMC may not be the lowest cost but their work is well worth it. I had several estimates but chose CMC because they were most impressive.. other companies said I would need to hire a contractor to fix drywall after upgrade to panel box but Jared did such a quality job it was not needed. I Highly recommend CMC !

NC Law requires a licence an electrician. This company has a owner with a licence and from my contact with at least one other employee with a state licence. The business model in use is that the workers do not have state licence just the company. If you have work done by a person with out a licence and there is property loss because of it your insurance my reject your loss as not in keeping with policy. you must check licence before work is done. The only way a person can do this work is under direct supervision. This would mean two people came out one with licence and the worker. this did not happen with me and I fired them and requested back 14,500.00 advanced. Lack of enforcement does not invalidate a law. The state website states this licence is likened to a drivers licence you can not use some else lice to operate your car.In response to the owners statement You are attempting to once again be misleading. The issue is with state law and electrician license. At no time in this statement is the word electrician used. I my opinion the only work that your un licensed workers are allowed to do is clean light bulbs.Not contract for electrical work, not do even entry level electrical jobs with out supervision. where the statue talks about the kind of work I needed to states direct supervision. You should not state your none licensed tech as you call them are electricians. stop being deceptive and push other honest fully licensed electricians out of work.I attempted contacting you more than once. the e mail statement from your office attempting justification was an insult to much.

I recommend Jared for electrical services. He is polite, knowledgable and courteous. He works efficiently and was able to repair many items we thought would need replacing. He was able to prepare a quote and start work that same day and cleaned up after himself. Great workmanship and fair pricing.

Getting a whole house generator install. Due to supply shortages on parts time-frame for install will be more than 2 days. But so far I commend Martin & his helper on work done thusfar. Theyre good workers & Martin took the initiative to handle my concerns by getting approval for an alternative work approach. Im happy with the outcome to this point.

The electrician, Martin Wall installed a Complete Home Surge Protection unit, replaced the light fixture in my storage room and converted it from a pull switch to a wall mounted switch. He also repaired the flood light unit on the front of my house. He thoroughly explained all that needed to be done and gave me an estimate of the total cost before he began the work. Once the work was completed, I watched him test it to make sure everything worked properly. I am very pleased with the quality of Martins work and his knowledge and experience as an electrician. I would definitely reccommend him for any residential electrical work.

They came to our house to give us an estimate for electrical work. The electrician was on time, courteous, and thorough. He mentioned a fee for the estimate, which was completely unexpected. Once he realized we didnt know about the fee in advance, he was able to waive the fee. Their estimate was higher than others we received, so we chose another electrician.

After receiving outstanding service from our CMC Electric technician about 1-2 months ago, we decided to go with them again for more work we needed done. I am not surprised that the experience was awesome yet again! Rick was not only very knowledgeable, professional, and efficient, he was also kind and had awesome customer service! He patiently listened to what we needed done and thoroughly went over the quote. After completing the work and safety check, he provided a detailed overview. I will definitely be contacting CMC Electric for any other work that we need done, and I will be asking for Rick! :)

Ive used CMC twice and wont ever again. They are WAY over priced for the work performed. Both times I have had Josh out to the house. The first time, I had an exposed exterior cable that I wanted tested and if dead, cut and put in a box. Josh showed up without his multimeter and was gone for 1.5 hours as he drove to go get it. When he showed back up, he tested the cable and it was dead so he simply cut it and put it in a box. He tried to charge me close to $300 for this! He told me that he had to drive to go get the multimeter so that was time on the clock. An electrician should always come to a job site with a multimeter so I argued back with him. He ended up calling his supervisor who said to give it to me for the $44 diagnosis fee.I left a complaint about Josh after this and never heard back. The second time, after my shed had a new roof installed, the power in my shed went off. My roofer called CMC to come out and diagnose the issue (listed as a $44 charge in Johnston County). I knew it was going to be another overpriced visit. Josh once again showed up despite me complaining about him the first time. He did actually do a diagnosis to determine the issue, but all he ended up doing was disconnecting a cable. When I asked how much it was going to cost because I was going to be paying for it, Josh shut me down and told me it would only go to the roofer. So I texted the roofer. $218! He was at the house maybe an hour, walked around the yard and shed looking for the issue with me helping, and just disconnected a cable from the shed! I wouldnt ever recommend working with this company. They are crooks that dont respond to complaints given. There are other smaller electric companies in the area who would charge way less.

Jared was wonderful. He patiently went through all my issues in the new house I just bought, checked everything, fixed things that needed fixing and helped me figure out some of my mystery switches in the new house. He also performed an inspection and is helping arrange for us to have two more cable outlets I stalled and another outlet replaced. Great value and amazing customer service.

We bought a new stove and needed a wall outlet installed so the stove would set back against the wall. After calling 5 other electricians who either didn’t call back or couldn’t schedule us for a month, we called CMC and they were able to come out in a couple of days. Kevin was our technician and he did a fantastic job! He was on time, professional and made us feel comfortable with him being in our home.

Our window for the technician to come out was from 8am to 10am. At 846, I got a text from the company that Emory was on his way to our house. At 930, I decided to check the technician tracking that they provided and it said the technician was already at our house, but he wasn’t. By 950, I called the company to check on the tech. They couldn’t get ahold of him right away but called back and said he would be there in 4 minutes and that the tracking must have confirmed that he was there because he was close to the house. Why was he close to our house but not at our house for thirty minutes (or more... who knows how long)? Was he sitting nearby waiting until the last minute to show up? It struck the wrong chord with us and we cancelled the appointment. I’m giving a couple stars because the lady who answers the phone is kind, professional, and quick to help.

The problem was fixed with a simple reconnection of the terminals! I was afraid the balliste would need to be replaced. Very happy with the service.

We hired CMC to bring our new house up to code and safety. Martin Wall was the electrician that did the work. Having a house that needed much attention, he gave us the piece of mind that everything he did was quality work and to code. He did an awesome job. He was professional, reliable, and on time.

The breaker that runs our main heat/air unit died on a Saturday in January. We tried a hardware store nearby but they were out. Sunday we went to Lowes in another town but they were out as well. All electrical stores were closed. Luckily we have a fireplace & electric heaters as it was COLD. Monday we called an electrical store, they were out too! But they recommended CMC so I called & low & behold they had just one & were kind enough to hold it for us until we could get there an hour before closing. Also picked up a giant roll of duct tape. Breaker worked & heat in the house again. Thanks so much guys!

Spent 2 days trying to get someone to answer the phone to schedule a service call. Finally got the appointment scheduled and then they rescheduled it a couple of days before. Technician came out and I explained what I wanted done. He said he would give me a quote that afternoon. I never saw a quote or received any further communications from the technician or this company. They have no problem charging you $70 to show up and do absolutely nothing for it though. Beware if you try to do business with this company.

Great personality didn’t do anything but laugh with me as I told him I had been out of electricity in my bathroom for 2 weeks all because I didn’t press a reset button because so didn’t think the bathrooms connected. Jokes on me and $70 just for a push of a button.

I’ve been using CMC for many years for my personal home and 2 of our rental properties—and they also service our generator. All of the technicians I’ve used are fantastic, the customer service is spectacular, and the quality of their work and professionalism is unequaled by any other company I’ve used. We used to use several other electricians for our rental properties. Frankly, they cost a little less. Pay a little more—It’s worth it!! I got way less than I paid for and eventually had CMC go fix the jobs the other companies had messed up. I just wish they’d start doing plumbing, too. 😄

Overpriced and they require an estimate fee that is only refundable if you agree to use them the same day! Ripoff!
