This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I went in to get upper and lower dentures. this to me was a big deal. After talking me into partials (which i know was my fault for agreeing) they put me to sleep pulled by teeth and I was sent home. I woke up the next morning to put my partials in and cried. they were awful, neither top or bottom fit, and the bottoms looked like i had teeth bulging out of my mouth. They looked awful. Finally I talked them into making me another set. i received my second set, (which still does not look good) and the day before i was suppose to go back and get them adjusted. they call and stated, they no longer take my insurance. I had already paid $160 to have my real teeth left, whitened. They cancelled my appointment. I still have not been back to have them adjusted, and since the wire has fallen out of my top one. This process above has taken 4 years. 4 years and $10, 000 later ($7000 of this was from the insurance company) i still have not gotten my partials adjusted, and they have not paid me back my $160. They told me the company had went bankrupt. I even spoke to a lawyer and filed a claim with the bankruptcy. And last but not least, they told me the set i have is just the first set. (which is not made out of the material the main set will be made of, the first set is only the adjusting set) its not the set I was paying for. Please, if you value your money, time and the quality of your product. DO NOT GO HERE!

On 08/2020 I had the pleasure to work with Dr. Rice. I explained numbing doesn’t last long with me. He was very patient and gentle. A 20-30 surgery took almost 3 hours and not once did he act annoyed with me. He talked to me about other issues in my mouth and helped me understand my option. The staff are friendly, and the women who helped him was able to comfort me. She was able to tell when I was in pain just by the way I looked. I was extremely scared going in but leaving I was comfortable. I am a hard women to please and they get an A+! Good JOB!!

Excellent Dental Clinic!!! I had some misgivings at 1st with the out-of-pocket expense after insurance benefits was exhausted. Also, the initial dentist’s comment of, “I can’t tell the difference!,” with respect to some fillings I had done. The composite looked stained and I didn’t like them on my front 2 teeth. I was able to get a better understanding with this clinic and work with the new dentist to get exactly what I wanted opposed to what the initial dentist thought I should have. It’s important for dentists to understand that the patients are supposed to be happy with the outcome of their work. If, by chance, I’m not satisfied with your work and the dentist tell me in short that it’s not important and he can’t tell the difference. That is an insult!!! I don’t mind paying for what I want. Don’t give me what you think I should have!

My daughter had oral surgery and two days before the procedure I was told another dentist would be doing her procedure because her dentist went on vacation. Mind you we had been waiting for this date for about a month and had paid the deposit plus the dentist bill as well. Which the credit account was billed for both before we even made it to the clinic for the procedure, which seems weird to me. Note, their employee said vacation not family emergency. Also, my husband was initially told $945 for the anesthesiologist, which was to be paid out of pocket which is 1 hour of work, then when I followed up it with questions for clarification it had been adjusted to be 1.5 hours. Then the day before when the anesthesiologist called it had miraculously made it to 2 hours and all of this was based off the same set of xrays. At this point we had waited so long and just wanted to get it over with so of course the new dentist, which neither of us knew, took exactly 2 hours. If you quote 1 hour and tell the client expect an extra 1/2 hour I just do not understand the additional 1/2 hour on top of it. I wouldnt have minded paying the 1.5 but 2 hours is outrageous. They are simply taking more money than necessary and I am looking for a new dentist for my family because they do not give me any comfort about their prices and if you cant be reasonable about that then I question your expertise. Nevertheless, the staff tries to smile and put on a good face but at this point I wouldnt put anything past them. Also, there were no follow up directions from the dentist and for like procedures online recommendations usually say to do a follow up in a couple weeks to make sure the child is doing well but not here. They get paid and wait to take your money again. Good luck if you choose them but beware of your charges and question everything. So, thank you for not really leaving us with much of an option Clarksville Dental Spa; hopefully the work was done right but who knows.

At the suggestion of a dentist I was aggressive with getting a filling. I’m not placing blame but for what ever reason the filling was faulty and I fractured my tooth. Two months of trying to get an appointment with them and agonizing pain before they finally addressed my calls. I drove from Old hickory to Clarksville multiple times, and hours of waiting to have the appointments later canceled. I paid hundreds of dollars have spent between commute and waiting - total of ten hours just in the appointments that were ultimately canceled after my waiting.I had a root canal then went back for a crown. 3 times my temporary broke. 4 times my permanent had to be adjusted. And less then a year after my permanent my crown completely broke.I keep calling and get pushed around. They have permanently destroyed my mouth and I am thousands of dollars in debt. I am now forced to have the tooth removed because I have no money and they won’t fix it.

My experience with the dentist and hygienist was actually pleasant. My issue is with billing. I received services back in July of 2017. I was issued a bill for $10.00 in April, I called to discuss it with them no one answered left a message...no one called me back. This past Saturday I opened an additional bill this time for $72 dollars. The lady on the phone tells me that I need to contact the two insurance companies involved. It seems to me as if this should be their job and this should have been sorted out well before now (a year later). Either way lady on the phone was not helpful and not sympathetic. Seems fishy usually my primary insurance will issue me a letter stating what they did not cover...and I never received one. I would not recommend this dentist based on prior comments about billing and services. Wish I had known.

Five stars, but read the whole review. Dr. Lieu was scheduled to perform and extraction and a root canal for me while I was sedated. During the procedure I woke up with him telling me that he would not be completing the root canal due to paperwork issues. I did not understand and my wife had to have it explain to her. As it turns out this doctor did not like his compensation package with the clinic and therefore refused to conduct the procedure of which I had already paid for in full. I was referred to another dentist, who by the way did a fantastic job. Unfortunately the doctor in several other doctors I believe have been making this clinic not so good. I give the clinic five stars for one reason, Covina the office. This lady is by far one of the most fantastic customer service people I’ve ever run across. She did everything in her power to ensure that I was taken care of as a patient. I chose to seek dental care elsewhere because of the way the doctors behaved at this clinic, not because of the office manager. The office manager is the only thing holding this clinic together, she’s like a little Dutch boy with his finger in the hole of the damn. I don’t believe in bashing anybody and giving one star and saying what a horrible clinic, because it probably really isn’t a horrible clinic, they just had the wrong doctors at the wrong time. I wish Divina the best she’s a fantastic individual and has helped me 100% all the way. So if you choose this clinic choose wisely and ensure That your research whatever doctor you are seeing.

Overall very positive. Sometimes there is a little wait to start appointments but I would say on average, less than most medical/ dental offices. Once I had to wait about 25 minutes to get in for my cleaning. I told them that I was not going to have time to do the cleaning and would have to re-schedule. They were very understanding. I have found the staff to be caring and professional. I would rather they take their time to make sure that they do a good job than rush through to stay exactly on schedule. Have been a patient there for more than three years, and I have tried a lot of dentists. This one is the best I have found so far. They make going to get dental work much less stressful than it might otherwise be.

Felt very comfortable with the Dental Center. They explained the procedure gave me an itemized bill before the procedure. No surprises which was a blessing. I had a vibrating chair and a warm blanket for comfort. They really helped with my dental anxiety. I have been to other dentists in the area and they found cavities that did not exist and one in particular charged me for a filling in a tooth that to this day does not have a filling in it. I left a dentist that I had been with over 20 years due to this. I always look at my explanation of benefits and make sure it is on the up and up. Thus far I have not had a problem with this facility. I would highly recommend this business to anyone in need of a good dentist.

I am so apprehensive and scared going to the dentist as Im sure many people are, but all the people from the receptionist to the dentists at Clarksville dental spa put me at ease almost without words. When they did speak I felt 100% better. The atmosphere really is spa like, calming and comfortable. I was treated with such kindness, and they really want to know you not you as a patient but you as a person. If I could leave negative stars I absolutely would! This is the most convoluted organization I have ever come in contact with-I have been ignored, mistreated as a patient and disregarded. This is the parent company of the Bartlett DS location that I went to-and I am going on OVER A YEAR of treatment for the same damn tooth which the original doctor covered up in the first place. I have never seen such a disgraceful patient experience in my life. And now, when I think Ive hit the home stretch-I have a temporary that works great-but its over two weeks, its starting to fall apart-and I NEED my replacement crown, which was supposed to be given to me for FREE due to the one they originally screwed up-and I find out today that the office CLOSED! No notification, no email UNBELIEVABLE! Then I call and was chastised by the attendant on the phone. Are you kidding me? I want this resolved asap or I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and any dental board and/or organization that I can find. Enough is Enough 1 year, 2 months and counting. And you better believe my stuff is WELL Documented!

The appointments due tend to run a little behind, so I never really count on getting in exactly at my scheduled time... Everyone is very nice. They dont hold you down and force floss you like some dentists Ive been to. My first visit was due to an abscess caused by a degraded wisdom tooth... Thanks to them, I finally gave in and agreed to getting all the dental work Id been putting off for close to 10 years. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, a full periodontal cleaning, and 8 cavities filled in just under 3 hours, all while completely asleep for most of it (I was woken during the fillings to give the anesthesia time to wear off so I could walk). They really know how to educate you about their procedures and the best way to do things to avoid complications. The best part was that I was in no pain the next day and was even out running errands with no swelling. It would be nice if they would work with more insurance companies and discount dental programs to make their practice and option for those of us more financially pressed, but there are a variety of payment plans available through Care Credit which has been very helpful. The only real negative thing in my eyes is that I selected sedation dentistry because of my anxiety with dental appointments, but I cant seem to get gas for those appointments. I will stick with them until I find a place that will do gas though because again, they are really nice :)

I had a decent experience and the office staff has struggled getting my insurance claim filed correctly. The hygienist was kind and very informative and the dentist was good. The office changed hands to the now current staff as of November 2019. I wasn’t informed that the office was changing ownership and dentists. I was a little disappointed with this fact and the issues with the insurance claims. I can’t give them a 5 star view for these reasons.

My last visit was the same experience I always receive when having a dental appointment. The staff is friendly and inviting. I really like that they keep their appointment times on time. I dont have to sit in the lobby for 20-30 minutes after my scheduled time in order to be seen. That is a big frustration Ive had at other offices. The warm personalities cant help but to rub off on you and make you to keep smiling from the experience even after leaving the office.

I have no idea why this place has negative reviews. The only thing I can think of is people have become increasingly hard to please and will tolerate no less than 100%.This dentist met my every expectation and did it with a smile. I was able to basically get a same day appointment for two teeth cleanings for both of my children. YES, I SAID SAME DAY. Not that this is encouraged...I just had some extra time and wanted to see if I could squeeze in this errand before I had to go back to work. They were fast, patient with my children and efficient. The office was clean and the dentist was extremely friendly. A+++ from me. Thank you Dental Spa!!

Dental cleanings were on par and some of the hygenists seem like wonderful ladies, but the overall feel of the place makes us feel ripped off. Our son was having orthodontic treatment done here until they quoted us an additional $1400.00 to extract his three remaining baby teeth instead of just waiting for them to fall out on their own. I cancelled treatment with them and filled out their paperwork over a month ago, yet we just received a bill for this months treatment. This is just a brief summary of our negative experience. The rest was just general unpleasantness from some of the staff including the girls at the front desk and Dr Rose. ...and we sat in the waiting room for over an hour past the appointment time on our last visit.

I went to this office in mid-October needing 2 small fillings and a cleaning. After the initial appointment, I was told that a deep clean may be more appropriate to get in front of any buildup. I went to the front desk and told the receptionist I did not want to pay for the deep cleaning, and the regular cleaning would be fine. She then assured me that the office was running a special, and that I would not be charged for the deep cleaning if I followed their dental plan. I asked her if she was sure, even if I had a cost-sharing insurance plan. She said the same thing - the office is running a special and you will not be charged.Fast forward a month, and I receive a bill for the deep cleaning I did not want in the first place. After going back to the office to see why this was happening, I was told the receptionist explained it wrong to me, and I am still responsible for the bill - nothing could be done to rectify the situation. If I could give this review a negative rating, I would.

Now known as Tennessee Dental Spa. Under a new name, new dentist and new staff members. Dr. David Elrod and his staff were wonderful. I had been going to Clarksville Dental Spa since 2014. I told them I was having sensitivity to cold, and since I had already had a deep filling, Dr. Rose told me 6 months ago that I would need a root canal and sent me to Dr. Weavers office for further evaluation. Dr. Weaver told me to come back when I could figure out which tooth was given me problems and suggested I get Sensodyne with Fluoride to see if that helps. The following week Clarksville Dental called me and asked was I ready to set up the tooth pull. I told them no, I was going to wait and do the root canal. I went for my 6 month cleaning today to Tennessee Dental Spa, and after my cleaning the hygienist said it doesnt seem like you need a root canal. Because, I was rinsing your mouth with cold water and it didnt bother you. If you needed a root canal, you would be in a lot of pain. So, Dr. Elrod came in and took a look at my mouth. He said you dont need a root canal. We just need to take this filling out and replace it. He said this will save you $3,000. I said omg....thank you!. I set up my appt to get my deep filling fixed. Clarksville Dental Spa were some RIP offs. All about making money. If you are looking for a honest Dental Clinic and Dentist. Please go see Dr. David Elrod and his staff at Tennessee Dental Spa formerly known as Clarksville Dental Spa. They have true integrity and are amazing.

Trust me all the comment are true. The staff never seems to explain things very well and you end up paying the price! I was told I was paying the whole total for my sons crowns only to find out six months later I owe $700, like I just have that laying around. I was also told she explained it wrong and there was only they could do and refused to see my son to fix the crown that fell out, fell out, can’t you believe that! Please the doctors change and the staff changes way to much so do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I was a long time customer and they don’t seem to care.

I went to Clarksville Dental Spa for over 5 years and was happy until I needed a root canal. The work was done improperly and I was in a lot of pain! They redid it free. The crown fell off. They redid it. Then it fell off again. Now I have to go to a dentist that can handle the work. My insurance won’t cover repeated root canals and crowns on the same tooth. If you are keeping score, I will have 3 root canals and 3 crowns in 3 years on one tooth. One root canal and one accompanying crown should have been all that was required. In short, Clarksville Dental Spa has cost me 3 years of pain and about thousands of dollars.DO NOT GO HERE! Go to a dentist office where the owner works on a regular basis.I gave them 1 star because zero is not an option.

My first and only appointment was on Dec 13th. I needed two teeth pulled. The Dr was over an hour late because a buddy of his came in with an emergency. Not a great first impression. Then I was told that I would need sedation. I asked if I could do it without it. I was told that would be up to the Dr. I left, expecting a follow up. A week later, still nothing. They needed paperwork from my other drs regarding my medications. Another week goes by. Still nothing, called them, and they said they hadnt received anything from my psychiatric. Which was a lie because I was sitting in her office when she sent them the message about asking if they needed anything else. Another week goes by. They call ME and ask me for my pcps fax number. I told her that I was not at home and I would try to get it to her. I figured by the time I got home, she would have called them and asked for it. Another week goes by, they call me today and left a message stating that they are STILL waiting for ME to call them with the fax number to my pcp. The absolute inadequacy of this office manager is astounding. A simple search would have found my pcps number. I have never had a drs office call me to get a number for another Dr. And I still need the two teeth pulled, but Im going somewhere else. If the office manager and first dentist is the norm for this office, Ill take my chances somewhere else. I would give no stars if it would let me.

Dont go here, trust me! The office is nice & front staff is friendly but they have very high turnover rate for front staff, especially billing & for good reason! Work Ive had done was okay (not great) but the worst issue Ive had is billing: they did sealants on my son when he already had them done at prior dentist w/in time frame allowed, they approved crediting me back because they billed me for it & I didnt want to have a bill while they were researching the error. For the next yr. I tried to get the credit applied to same sons braces they did (dont think they are actually licensed orthodontists!) but they were changing billing systems to merge ortho with regular the ENTIRE year & kept not being able to apply it correctly. Then we were moving out of state & they never got his retainer in on time before we moved even though they assured me they would & I called daily to check on it! I even called after we moved & either their phone lines were down multiple times!!! or someone would call me back but never did. Now at new dentist, I come to find out my youngest was charged against insurance for full mouth/pano X-rays that they have no records of & now cant get them done again because still within the time frame to be covered. This is so shady!! I again have been promised a call back from the office manager but of course have received no phone call back. Definitely not worth the nice atmosphere to deal with fraudulent practices that will haunt you for years to come!!
