I feel like this is a good place to live because they take care of your needs and wants and are also very friendly. Its clean and safe and also they have a good mental health program.

I have had the opportunity to place several residents at Copps. This place is no doubt the best residential care facility in the state. It is extremely clean, the meals are wonderful, the staff is caring and patient. Tracy handles a difficult population at her facility and treats them like her own family. I would have no reservation placing someone there.

I wouldnt even give them one star but, for me to leave a review, I had to. I called to get some information regarding an admission. I asked to speak to the admissions coordinator and was informed I was talking to her. She immediately informed me that they dont have any openings nor do they have a high turn over rate so I was not going to be able to get anyone admitted. At this point, I still felt as though I need to get as much information as I can, should this be a place that becomes available. After going through the details of the situation and asking, point blank, if they are able to accommodate a mother and daughter living together, should the space come available, all I kept being told was it was going to depend on the rate of the room. How does that have anything to do with whether or not they an accommodate them?? I informed them that money was not an issue, and it didnt matter how much it cost. I just needed to know if they are able to accommodate an elderly mother and a down-syndrome daughter, should a room come available. The girl I was talking to said that they only take mentally challenged patients. As I was looking at the website it stated Admission Criteria was:1. Mental Health Diagnosis2. Physical Diagnosis (if applicable)3. Stable4. No history of verbal or physical violence5. Submit diagnosis/history/physical and medication records6. All medications/over the counter medications must be listed on application7. Submit Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance Information8. Current TB (tuberculosis) test (within one year)9. Current Physical (within one year)10 No Special Diets11. Ambulatory12. Adequate funding in place for Residential Care cost13. 21 years or older14. No history of Pyromania15. Current physician orders (Mental Health and Health)16. No Registered Sex Offenders17. Two Week Supply of all medicationsI referenced number 2. Physical Diagnosis (if applicable) and asked her what the guidelines of that was. She had no idea what I was talking about. She then, after talking with her and trying to get her to answer whether or not they could accommodate, she tells me that someone else actually handles admissions and I could talk to her if I wanted BUT she was out of the office and she would have to call back. I asked her, AGAIN, All I need to know is whether or not you can accommodate a mother and daughter living together because if you cant I will mark you off the list and move on to another facility. Why cant you answer that? She went back to the whole rate thing and some nonsense about sharing a bathroom. I told her that I didnt understand why she couldnt answer that, but I would just end the call and mark them off the list. Though she was rude and condescending through the whole call, she got snippy and told me, Look, I told you that I could take your name and number and have so-and-so call you back and she can answer your questions. I just responded with, No, Ill just mark you off the list. Have a good day. At that point, she just hung up. No thank you, have a good day, go to hell, or anything.All I know is that if they treat and speak to a fully capable, intelligent, sound, adult the way this girl did, I would NOT trust them to take care of my loved ones. I have NO DOUBT that they or at least THIS PERSON would be worse to someone who cant fully comprehend or communicate to help themselves.
