My husband had a caustic substance sprayed in his eyes and was in excruciating pain. This was in the evening, after office hours. In a panic we drove to the emergency room, but the wait was hours and hours. They did not seem to see the emergency. My husband could not see or open his eyes and was in horrific pain. I called his eye doctor, Dr Anil Shivaram, in desperation. Dr Shivaram called right back and spoke with us, told us exactly what to do and called in an RX to a 24 hour pharmacy immediately and told us where to go. He was so very kind and calm and helpful in the middle of our panic. Because of Dr Shivaram my husband suffered far less. Thank you! I would give him 10 stars if possible.

Dr. Shivaram and his staff are amazing. Dr. Shivaram took his time in explaining the procedure and making sure I understood my options, and on the day of surgery, he continued to talk to me about what was about to happen. His staff contacted me often to remind me of appointments, to answer any questions, before and on the day of surgery. Although everyone I encountered was professional, they were also kind and caring, making sure I was comfortable and doing okay, which I was. The best thing is that I can see. My cataract is gone, my astigmatism is corrected, and I will likely not every have to wear glasses again. Thank you, Dr. Shivaram and staff! I look forward to having my other eye done next week.

I had cataract surgery with Dr Anil Shivaram . They said it was a fairly easy surgery. But I know eye surgery is delicate and you want to be in the best hands. Dr Shivaram not only did a excellent job with my eye but gave me comfort feeling secure with the process ! Have been very impressed with Dr Anil and his handling of my cataract surgery and follow-up as well.

I was very pleasantly surprised with my Lasik and cataract surgery. Dr. Shivaram was very helpful throughout the process, explaining things clearly (I have trouble hearing) and carefully. I was prepared to choose option #3 (the most expensive of the three), but he recommended #2 and for the right reasons. I was extremely nervous, but the surgery was very quick and effortless. My eye was rather painful the same day and vision was very blurry, but it had cleared up remarkably by the time I saw him 24 hours later. I have never had such clear vision (distance) as I have now. Next month I will have the same surgery on the other eye, and am looking forward to it!
