First time ever going to the GYNO and i had the best experience which sounds crazy, all the way from receptionist Brittany to the Ma , to Dee (midwife ) i was so happy they are so inviting and make the process so much better , will forever come back !

They won’t answer their phones office staff must be very lazy.

Due to insurance change, I had to find a new Gyn a few years back.The staff and Doctors are all really nice, but being a woman way past my child bearing years, I felt lost in the shuffle. With my previous Doctor, he always would say, No news, is good news, or I would get a call immediately. Here, I NEVER received a call or letter or a reminder for my yearly exam. I once again am having a change in insurance and so happy I can return to my former Doctor.

The staff and nurses are absolutely wonderful and are helpful in times of worry. However, I will say the doctors can be more attentive and aware. I went in to get an iud changed and the doctor put one in before taking the other out...then suggested I had to go somewhere else to have an abdominal xray to find the first iud, when she had an internal ultrasound machine right next to me. It was a whole anxiety filled mess that could have been avoided had she just read my chart. And had she not asked what I was doing for birth control prior to the insertion of the new iud, I would have left the facility with TWO iuds, unknowingly for who knows how long...

I love this office! Everyone is always so welcoming and friendly! From the doctors to the office staff I do not have one bad thing to say! I highly recommended them! I am pregnant with my second child and am having a much better experience this time around because I switched to TriHealth Associates Eastgate.

I absolutely loved this place I delivered both of my kids here and was so happy with them. My son (my last) was by far the best experience I had Dr Merkel and he is by far the best he came in on his off day to deliver my son and he was always there with questions I needed answered. I will definitely be back with yearly exams but I highly recommend this place!!

Dr. Merkel showed such a depth of understanding and compassion for our birth mother. Even though we had arrived 2 hours late for an appointment, he willingly fit her in with no shaming or finger pointing. I am pleased that he is so young and will be able to provide top notch medical care for many years to come!!!!!!!!!!!!

The office staff are all very helpful and have been quite kind and understanding the past four years i’ve been childbearing. On the other hand the doctors seem impersonal and every visit i’ve had i’ve felt like a broodmare. I’ve expressed a personal desire to get a postnatal tubal ligation and have been postponed and thwarted the past four months. One of the midwives tried to dictate my birth control and direct my reproductive decision making without asking about my personal/individual situation on why I requested a tubal ligation postnatal. After much research and speaking with women’s groups it seems as though they have continually pushed my desires aside due to a desire to schedule on their terms rather than listening to why I would prefer the surgery while i’m at the hospital after labor. I just feel as though the medical professionals of this office are not hearing me and have very little desire to understand my reasoning. I can empathize and understand the convenience of scheduling my procedure on your terms but if it’s an option to do it postnatal and allowing me to get a majority of my healing done in the same time period as I have two other children I watch over, a husband who has to work long hours so we can afford to raise these children, and scheduling a procedure which will affect my ability to breastfeed if I wait the 4-6 weeks they would like me to wait. They did not discuss the specific of tubal ligation with me as they are required to do and were very haughty when I finally pushed enough for them to allow me to sign the paperwork. I had to go through a different Trihealth branch of communication to even get the appointment to sign the tubal ligation paperwork. The midwife i’ve been speaking of immediately began the information meeting with “It most likely won’t happen, just telling you now.” And then proceeded to berate me on how I inconvenience them and the lack of logic in wanting to get it done postnatal. Stating that the procedure was more successful if I wait but refusing to provide the evidence for this statement. The midwife conceded to print out the study, albeit with much agitation but has yet to provide the paperwork despite my repeated and patient attempts to procure this paperwork. It’s been a very disheartening and offensive experience which is extremely disappointing seeing as my previous experience was so pleasant.

I love everyone there that Ive met so far the staff is so polite and the front desk lady is amazing says my name right and greets me by my name when I walk in the door

Really glad i found this office, Dr.Merkel is the best, he is very attentive and dedicated to his job and helping every lady that comes in.

Very rude on the phone. Not helpful. Messed up my b.c. twice. Doesnt ask questions about yourself before they prescribe things to you.
