I liked the atmosphere and vibe of the building. All of the employees were kind and professional. Tyler, my stylist, did an awesome job on the color and cut that I was going for! I’m very happy with the outcome and experience my first time around!

Hannah did an AMAZING job on my hair. This was 100% worth the money because I feel like a million bucks! The atmosphere is relaxing and everyone is friendly. As I sat waiting for my highlights to finish, I saw all the other stylists taking their time and being diligent with how they styled their customers hair. Everyone was walking out with amazing hair! Im definitely going back!

Most fantastic haircut experience I’ve ever had. Everyone from the front desk to the other stylists were extremely friendly and jovial. Sasha took amazing personalized care of me. She was talkative, attentive, and from our first interaction I knew I was in good hands. I will be asking for her again. Clean beautiful space. The first experience honestly blew me away. It’s safe to say they’ve made a regular out of me.

I scheduled a visit to cincinnati from nyc around this salon’s availability (I used to go here before I moved). That should convince you to give them a try.I typically see Emerson who is amazing but recently Emily highlighted my hair - and I’m soo happy with it! It feels perfectly natural and toned to suit my skin, just as we discussed. It also didn’t take too long which is a plus. And their new space is fantastic! I’ll definitely be returning when I’m back in town and will miss them when I’m not!

I paid over $250 for balayage and when I left the salon my hair looked exactly the same with two strands of blonde. The color was not noticeable at all and I wasted my money. I could’ve done way more with a box of bleach from Walmart. Huge waste of money. The stylist was nice tho

Hands down the best balayage in town! Ive been seeing Sasha for about 2 years and she does an incredible job. She truly cares about her clients and makes sure youre absolutely in love with your hair and feeling confident before you walk out the door. Though Ive never booked with anyone else, I would feel as though I was in great hands with any of the other stylists at High Five (seriously, check out their Instagram accounts – its unreal how much talented they all are). And not to mention every single person in their salon is so kind and welcoming.

Having really long hair my whole life I never thought I could love short hair but thanks to Meghan I am literally in love with my new haircut! I simply cannot say enough nice things about my experience at High Five Salon. I was reluctant going in because I have not always had the best experiences with hair salons but Meghan put all my anxieties at ease and truly listened to what I had to say. I went in feeling self conscious about the way I looked and left feeling over the moon with confidence. Meghan, thank you so much for reviving my mane :)

I had one of the best haircuts of my life here by Tyler! Not only was he super friendly and easy to talk to, but he had a profound knowledge of hair and what styles worked best for certain face shapes. He has a background in analytical geometry (!!) which adds a unique depth of understanding shapes and styles. I like when I can vaguely describe what I want and the hairstylist gets it, which he did. He was very thorough, but efficient. He also knows a lot about the products that they use, so if you are interested in purchasing products he definitely is the right person to talk to. Lastly, there had been a scheduling error made when I initially made the appointment and Tyler went above and beyond to rectify this problem which was super appreciated. I am picky about who cuts my hair, and I truly think Tyler is one of the best. Go to Tyler!! You wont regret it.

High Five salon is a true 5 star establishment. I honestly enjoy coming in so much I wish my hair grew faster just so I stop by more often. Besides the great atmosphere, everchanging music, and convenient location, what really sets High Five apart from the rest is the staff. I truly cant say enough about each and everyone of them. The hairstylists are great if you can get an appointment. But for a simple haircut you have to book 3 months in advance. I can’t imagine how long it would take for a service that takes longer than 30 min.

Love this salon. Theyre always very friendly, clean and welcoming. Ultimately, pricing might force me elsewhere, as my male haircut currently costs three times as much as my wifes, so thats a bit of a sore spot, in my household.Im sure the stylists are worth it, from a cost perspective, but if Im not getting some crazy hair style, $50 + tip is, well...overkill.

Wow. The best salon I have been to. Very innovative and they take their time and pay close attention to detail. Would recommend to anyone willing to pay a bit more for their hair. Jesse gray is the guy to see, but they are all good.

Meghan is the best!

I originally gave the salon 4 stars the day I was there. But unfortunately the next day when I washed and dried my hair I discovered my hair refused to lay right anywhere. When I got my hair cut the next time at a different salon I was told my hair was shorter on one side, the back was cut at an angle with one side much shorter than the other at an angle instead of straight across. And my layers were not ever with some much shorter than others. Its been 4 months and they still arent grown out enough to be cut even. He cut it with a razor and my hair was so sharp it felt like needles stabbing me in the neck everywhere my hair touched it. He said he taught so I guess the saying Those who can, do; those who cant, teach. And to top it off I paid $70 for the worst haircut Ive ever had.

This is by far the best hair salon to go to... ever. I started going here a couple years ago and have never gone anywhere else since. I see Ashley about ever 10 weeks. It is more like going in and spending time with a friend, while also knowing that I am going to leave with an amazing new hair style each time. I am always excited for my appointments and I always leave feeling confident and encouraged. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is fun/friendly & the quality of hair color/cuts/etc. is INCREDIBLE. I will be a client for life. (-:

Modern, yet cozy feeling salon. Staff is very warm, friendly and highly skilled. I can personally recommend Tyler, but I really dont think you can go wrong with any stylist. Located is hip OBryonville, where youll find several cool shops and restaurants. On street metered parking or pay parking lots.

I would give this salon 10 stars if possible. Not only are each of the stylists EXPERTS and incredible artists, they are also professional in every manner, kind, upbeat, engaging, and truly exemplify excellent customer service. I will never be able to switch to a different salon!

Unfortunately it wasnt a fluke that my hair was uneven. This is the 2nd time that Ive had this issue. My hair is significantly shorter in the back than in the front. I typically avoid writing reviews in this town being that everyone is connected, but as I head out for my husbands birthday, Im so embarrassed. Im praying that people dont notice (my babysitter noticed right away). Good reviews in Cincinnati dont mean much to me anymore.

Quite some time has past since I received a haircut in this establishment (1 year). I originally did not want to leave a review, as I understand that sometimes mistakes are made, and I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. However, even after almost 1 year later, I still have to live with haircut that I received, and I frequently ask myself why I have not left a review, seeing how I was treated, and the end result of the cut. So here it is:I saw the great reviews for High Five, and one stylist in particular, Samantha. So, I made an appointment with Samantha, and was excited about by new chosen style.I made it to the establishment, and enjoyed the natural environment of the waiting area. The decor was lovely.After a short wait, my stylist took me back to the styling area, and discussed what type of style I was looking for. I wasnt so sure, but I wanted something, sexy, shorter, and a little funky. We went downstairs to wash my hair, and again, the decor was lovely, and the stylist was pleasant.We returned upstairs to the styling chair. The stylist began working on my hair, and we talked about the style as she worked. I showed her a few pictures.As the conversation went on, she seemed to be reaching a point of agitation. She became snappy, telling me that this or that just wont work. At one point, I felt her agitation through the forceful use of her sheers, as she moved them through my hair. The end result of the cut was very disappointing. Instead of sexy and funky, I looked like a grandma (Which is not a bad thing if you are in the appropriate age bracket, but 34 is hardly appropriate for a Golden Girls hair cut). The stylist across from us could see my disappointment, and tried to convince me to be happy with the worst cut I have ever received in my life (Not exaggerating).While receiving my cut, I could see the face of the other stylist in the mirror as my stylist would speak to me in an almost belittling tone. I knew he was aware of how unprofessional her attitude was.My stylist did let me know that I could come back to have her fix it, but I knew right away, I would never visit her again. I did leave her a tip, because even though she was not her best self, I was still committed to being my best self.I did call the salon a few days later, because I just had to say something about the way I was treated, and how disappointed I was with the cut. My stylist called me back, and let me know she wasnt aware of how she was behaving, and that she takes her job very seriously. She offered to give back the tip I had given her, and again offered to have me come back in.So, why am I writing this? Because, almost everyday, I have to look in the mirror at this cut. It has grown out some, but not enough to where I can go in to get a style that I want, and there arent many options for styling the cut at home. It is just frustrating! I have gotten to the point where I feel like I went too easy on this stylist. She may have been nice to start out, and even when she called me back to discuss my visit, but she seems to get irritated fast, and it seems that she is not familiar on how to work with different types of hair. Half way through the cut, she let me know that she couldnt give me the style I was going for because my hair would just stick up. Well, how in the world do all of these other people, with the same type of hair as me, get the styles they get, and make it look good? My hair cut did not turn out the way it was supposed to because the stylist did not know how to work with my hair! Ugh, it was just an awful, awful experience.Hope you find ways to do better.

I just finished having the best haircut/salon experience of my life. Per the referral of a friend, I tried High Five for the first time. I explored their website first and loved the story each stylist told; I felt like these were people who cared about what they did and how they presented themselves so that potential clients would know for sure they were working with a quality professional and person. I booked over the phone for an appointment and found the receptionist incredibly helpful when I said my only preference was someone who knew how to cut curly hair. She knew who could best help me in the time frame I was looking for.When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed. I was offered a beverage and, even though I brought my own water bottle, the ladies said they would be happy to refill it for me if I ran out. Then I realized I had parked in the 30 min zone and was freaking out about how to move my car before my appointment; the ladies at reception assured me it was no problem for them to refill the meter as it ran out... I mean this kind of selflessness and attention to detail is unreal to me. I havent even gotten to the haircut yet-- thats how positive this place is.My stylist Ariana really listened to my every word about what I wanted for my hair right now and in the future. She took off the perfect amount and layered in so much my hair is light, fluffy, and the look I wanted. Not to mention, she gave me a great recommendation for a kayaking slip (a hobby we both serendipitously share). When she was washing me out, she complimented me on my eyebrows and I clammed up, self-conscious about how bushy they can be. I asked Ariana if we had time to shape them (a last minute request) and she was so gracious and made them perfect. The way she managed our time and my needs speaks to her smooth and effortless professionalism.In short, I walked into a place feeling not pretty and a bit disheveled. I walked out feeling beautiful and fun and like I deserve cake. Which I promptly got across the street at BonBonerie.10/10 I will be back.
