Not sure about all the bad reviews. John Taylor is a great doctor! He doesnt baby you around, he is a no frills doctor that actually gets things done. I saw him for a problem with my nose, and I had a great experience from the first appointment to the last post-surgery checkup weeks later. Highly recommended doctor!

When first meeting , I thought John Taylor an affable man and an apparent founder of this group .Took me three years of little headway in a sinus issue (no surgery) to realize he was messing with me.Starting with audiometer tests and a diagnosis of a closed estation tube , he sent me for a CT SCAN to ensure no tumor was present . Next , injections through the eardrum to clear the blockage .. I told him the medicine would come out of the puncture as soon as an elevation change on the way home , obviously not working . At that point in time Dr.Taylor said well , give it a year and well see how it goes ! I had spontaneously lost my hearing and and felt I couldnt afford to wait . In the interim , Having a sleep study , I went to a Maxiofacitialist for an appliance for my snoring . HE scanned my SITTING UP and it showed that my sinus cavities were filled above my eyes . I instructed him to send a copy to my ENT , John Taylor...he did. Another visit to ENT associates , found the good doctor refusing to discuss my new findings and he refused eye contact .. I realized that staff were now taking stenographic notes (on a laptop) wheneverThe doctor was in the exam room with me . IN THE MEAN TIME , another doctor (surgeon, not ENT) did a deep swab and found A MRSA infection . Again back to Taylor with THIS information and he seemed disinterested . In frustration , I went out of my plan (UHC) to another ent and in relating my plight and fight to retain my hearing , he seemed responsive UNTIL I mentioned J.Taylor & Associates where he then pushed his exam stool back and , and wide eyed and a flurry of jazz hands said he couldnt help me and to go to another ENT ! Its my opinion he had a run-in with the Associates in the past . Being quite desperate , I again returned to John Taylor where he exclaimed OH , I SEE THE PROBLEM...YOUR ESTATION TUBE IS STUCK OPEN ! Exactly opposite of what he had been treating me for , for three years !I realized , perhaps too late , that HE was messing with me for three years ! While Dr.Taylor is no longer accepting new clients , I would sure like to know if anyone else has experienced this behavior .

I am almost four years post-op from Taylors surgery on me in which he performed a septoplasty, turbinectomy and removal of a fungal ball (aspergilloma). Prior to the surgery, I had no pain, the day after the surgery, pain was present and increased for months. Finally, I was able to convince an oral surgeon to remove a maxillary molar which had been affected by Taylor in attempting to remove the fungal ball. This reduced, but did not eliminate the pain. A third, corrective surgery was performed by a very competent ENT doctor in La Mesa which reduced the pain significantly. The two years since that surgery have been spent getting the chronic infections under control and reducing the remaining pain. By not immediately addressing his operative adventures, I believe Taylor allowed an acute pain and infectious problem to become chronic, and much more difficult too remedy. When I reported the increasing post-operative pain to Taylor, he diagnosed me with trigeminal neuralgia and referred me to a neurologist. Wait times for an appointment were about two months, during which time I was left contemplating the increasing pain with no support from Taylor, or effort to improve my problems. The neurologist, after my initial interview, said that trigeminal neuralgia did not seem likely. In retrospect, I now know that there were many therapies which Taylor could have pursued to ameliorate my symptoms. The irony of undergoing an ordeal like this is that you are too sick and depressed to pursue a lawsuit, and when you finally feel able, too much time has lapsed. I am a retired medical professional, and fortunately had the education, friends and wherewithal to eventually solve most of the issues. The average person would still be in severe pain. I will be managing the remaining symptoms for the rest of my life most likely.

They do not accept medical for 21 or younger because of their contract. Dissapointing.
