Let me start off by explaining that my mother is the person who passed, and her passing was very unexpected, so in addition to the devastation of losing a loved one, we also had to deal with the shock of how we were not prepared for the situation. We reached out to Trinity Funeral Services because their pricing and website were a great first impression but dealing with them turned out to be a NIGHTMARE! I started off making the arrangements, then handed it off to my sister because she was better equipped emotionally to handle it. I spoke with Scott when I first inquired on pricing, etc, and spoke with Jennifer next to basically confirm next steps and how to hand authorization over to someone else. They were both very pleasant, so I was open to using their services. Big mistake! The first issue we had happened when discussing payment. My sister asked for details on why the payment was different from what the website states and what we were told over the phone. Jennifer told her we already discussed that, and without any further discussion, just asked how we will be paying. My sister explained that it was discussed with her sister (me), not with her, and asked again for payment details. Jennifer’s demeanor over the phone at that point, per my sister, was very abrasive and unprofessional but after multiple discussions and back and forth emails with Jennifer, payment was taken care of. Please note, there are many hidden fees included in the cost of cremation that are not listed on the website, nor disclosed in the initial discussion of payment, so be aware. At this point, my mother had been at their facility for a week and if we moved her to use another funeral home’s services, we would have had to pay a huge charge, so we stayed with Trinity. From there, we had multiple issues …. the funeral home sent my mom’s name spelled incorrectly to the place where we were having her Memorial Service, the crematorium cremated my mother with her wedding rings on although we explicitly told them to have them removed prior, and worst of all, we were treated by Jennifer like just another paycheck. She has no compassion, understanding, or sympathy for the families dealing with these arrangements. She is rude and takes no responsibility for her actions or the mistakes that are made. I would not recommend this company to anyone!!!Ive attached Jennifers response to us when we expressed our sadness from her our mothers wedding rings - I DID MY PART? No responsibility!
