Clarisa always does a great job with hair care as well as styling. Her shop is clean, inviting and has good parking.

I was referred by a friend to Clarisa. I hesitated because I havent had the best experiences with female stylists. Well I am so glad that I decided to go. I found Clarisa to be warm, friendly and welcoming. I found her to be very professional in her demeanor. But most importantly she did an amazing job with my hair!! Ambiance is great thing to have but it is meaningless if you dont have a great stylist to back it up! I will definitely be coming back.

Loves that Clarisa and her husband work as a team. He washes hair very good, and she styles. The finish product is on point, I feel like a celebrity when I get my hair done.

I shared with Ms. Clarissa that I had a history of heat damage and did not want my hair flat ironed. She continued to remark on how one side of my hair was very curly and natural whereas the other side was more wavy and had some ways to go until it was back to its natural state. However, she kept dismissing my request to minimize the direct heat by not using a flat iron and reiterating that if she did it her way, she’d “guarantee” my hair would be completely back to its natural state and growing in no time. After becoming slightly annoyed that she kept insisting that I go her way, I gave in. It’s been less than a week later, my hair did not last because it was so weighed down with oil that she kept putting in my hair, so I attempted to revert back to my curly ponytail. After wetting my hair, I have that lingering “burnt” smell and heat damage. Thankfully, I’m sure with a few protein treatments, I’ll be okay. However, it’s frustrating that she was not listening or willing to accept that while I may not know everything about hair, I know the details and patterns of MY hair. She should be more willing to take that into consideration. I think she did not initially realize that my hair, although it looked crazy when I walked in, is very manageable and would have done perfectly fine with the normal blow out. Now I’ve gone slightly backwards on the health of my hair. I can’t say that the service was 100% terrible but I do wish my preferences were taken into consideration and the health of my hair was preserved

I stopped going to Clarisa when she cut my hair very uneven and the right side was two inches shorter. This was not the real issue, but it was her attitude about it when I brought it to her attention. Rather than apologizing or suggesting that I return to the salon so that she could trim it evenly, she simply brushed it over as if nothing ever happened. This assured me one thing- if a person cant apologize for a fault of their own, this is clearly a person of pride who was not willing to hold herself accountable. I understand that no one is perfect, but dont understand when people dont humble themselves enough to offer a mere apology. At any rate, this was enough for me not to ever return to her shop.

I love this hair salon, its the only Dominican salon Ive been to that doesnt burn my scalp and my hair still comes out so silky. Clarisa is so welcoming and remembers every client. If your looking for a salon to be loyal to its this one.

Its hour typical Dominican salon the only difference is the customer service. Clarisa is the best and very welcoming. She got to know me and now has a loyal customer. Service was fast for a saturday. Loved my results.

I came to Clarisas salon on a Wednesday after work it was empty when I walked through the door she opened me with welcome arms she was sweet and also dropped some knowledge on me about my hair. I’ve been searching for a long time for a salon that I can trust with my hair and I finally found it! I recommend this salon to anyone and everyone!

Nothing to add to the others here. She’s the best. In the past year she’s made me come to terms with having to cut off hair damaged by another stylist... those 4” HURT but my hair looks so shiny and healthy. It has grown properly and Altho not as long as before it’s getting there. I’m so sad to be moving out of state 😭

Dont be fooled by the reviews. Yes, Clarisa is nice; however, she does not value or care about the time of her clients. If you are her first appointment when she opens, she is often late between 40 minutes to over an hour and is nonchalant about it and never offers an apology as if you need her, not to mention that she never deducts her price for being so late and often makes ill excuses that children make. Its not like she is late by 10 or 15 minutes. The time she is late is substantial which clearly shows she does not care. Why is there always an excuse when I am your first client and you are always super late? Moreover, she has not been consistent with her prices which is very misleading and suspicious. If you bring your conditioner, unlike other Dominican salons who deduct $5, Clarisa still charges you full price as if she used her own conditioner. I decided to take my little self to another Dominican salon where they are not only on time, but also value the time of their clients. Remember, it is your clients who pay your salary, and not you who pay theirs. We are the people who keep you in business. If you have no clients, you have no business.

I had a good experience with this salon. Wait time was only about 5 minutes, and the inside was clean. Clarisa and the gentleman that works alongside with her were both professional and friendly. The gentleman (I unfortunately forgot his name) promptly cut my sew-in weave out for me, and gave me an amazing shampoo and deep condition. Clarisa then took things from there. My hair does not contain any chemicals, and Clarisa was very gentle and patient with it. In the end, I was very pleased. Since my hair is very fine and thinner, many stylists make the mistake of unintentionally weighing it down with heavy products. Clarisa didn’t, which left my hair flowing and full of volume. I would definitely recommend!

Loved this place. As stated previously from other reviewers, she did not burn my hair. I dont get my hair blown out often, but the next time i do i will be coming back.

First time at Clarisas hair salon today - Amazing. I went in extremely afraid because my hair had been heat damaged and was falling out in droves. Clarisa listened to my past experiences, immediately recognized my problem and began treating it. I was washed, hair set, roots blown, trimmed and pin curled - no more heat blasts!!! My daughter and I will now be visiting every two weeks. Im so happy!!!! Best part over all - HER PRICES!!! I have natural hair with length and she charged me $45 - with the trim!!!!! I loved my experience soo much and will tell everyone I know about her!

I love her and the barber dude. its liek they make love to your haiar; however my only complaint was the wait time. i was their from 10am till 3pm. this is due to only two workers but im still going back because my hair was soft and fluffy like ive never seen it before.

On the website it says it opens at 7:30am on saturdays it is currently 8:48 and im sitting outside people have things to do and places to be this is a disgrace
