It takes a minimum of 30 minutes to get someone on the phone to start the conversation to get an appointment. When I needed a referral for a specialist, the nurse/doctor told me that I would have to wait to talk to her for 5 days. I told her that I returned from florida to get medical help for a ruptured tendon and it had been 7 days since the injury. I was in a soft cast, and had already been diagnosed with a ruptured tendon, so all I needed was basically her signature to see the specialist here where I lived. I needed to get this moving quickly because time was running out for a successful outcome. She did not seemed concerned. So I had to go to the VA for help, and I was able to see a specialist the next day. Then the following day I was operated on and I am healing fairly well.

My mother is an elderly patient of Dr. Park’s in the Chicopee location. I an NEVER able to get through on the for questions or appointments. I am placed into the automated hold system and am left there without anyone picking up the telephone. I have never had a professional medical office with such terrible customer service. Appointment wait times are also ridiculous. I would not recommend Trinity Health to anyone.

Of this groupI have been part of this group it seems like forever.I am a 65 year old with many medical problemsI have been on Medicare and Medicaid as Ive had over 20 operations in the last15 years.I recently moved to Maine and contacted new Drs for care. Signed many forms to get Riverbend to send records. No response from then for 3 months. I can not see new Drs. Until records are transferred. I made several calls and been on hold for minimum of 1 hour or more. Could not get any ans. to delay in sending records. Finally get call from new Drs. They stated Riverbend would not send records unless I paid $52. I can not get any care until this is paid. On ssdi which barely covers housing and utilities. This is crazy. I need to see a dr.

While my in person appointment was fine I am giving this practice a negative review for my after appointment care. From no response on questions posed on my chart for my test results to not answering the phone and having long hold times. You cannot get through to a live person at all! If your going to offer a phone number at least answer the phone! 45 minutes to get through to a live person or not providing follow-up guidance on a health question on my-chart is obscene and uncalled for.

This place was never really all that great but now it is below standard care. You call and your on hold forever. I called last week on hold for one hour 20 minutes to make an appointment and change pcp because the one my Mom had left. After an hour and 20 minutes the line disconnected. This is happening a lot at this medical waste facility. Unbelievable that this place is aloud to remain open.

Worst service I have ever experienced!!!I waited for an hour after checking in for a scheduled appointment. I was told there was a scheduling mistake and was told that I could not be seen. Although I was upset, I let them know that we are all human and remained calm. I asked for my copayment to be waived for my next appointment and they said it would be.When I came in, a second time, I was told that there was no note and I would have to pay. When I finally got into the appointment, they told me I could not be seen by a doctor and that there was yet again another scheduling mistake. I could only see a nurse although I was scheduled to see Dr. Murray. The nurse told me insurance would not cover my appointment and that I would have to pay out of pocket ($420). The nurse was extremely rude when I told her this must be a mistake. She refused the service I was there for (a vaccine), unless I was willing to pay the $420, and showed me where the exit was. I treated her with nothing but respect and was treated horribly.I called insurance and double checked to make sure the vaccine was covered. It was. They provided me a reference number to share with the staff at Trinity Health. This staff has no idea what they are doing and are very disrespectful.

My test results are always very fast and the technicians who take my blood are very gentle. My rheumatologist, podiatrist and gastroenterlogist doctors are all here under one roof. I have never had a bad experience here and on several occasions they made same day emergency appointments for me to see another doctor and specialist when I was sick. My suggestion for everyone. Do your research before you write a bad review on a small, growing towns medical center. A lot of people have been seen at this medical facility. Imagine watching people grow into the stressors of the world, giving up on home health and begging doctors to help because thats their job. Do your research, seek for a better understanding of the medicine you are given before you take it. Search for the exact feeling you feel, do not succumb to anxiety, or become flustered when speaking to your Primary Care physician. SPILL YOUR TEA. I pray Trinity Health New England does something miraculous to this medical center. And I hope it saves lives.

Where do I even start? Maybe with the refusal from thrree different doctors for asthma medication I actually need. Or being prescribed a medication for a medical condition they guessed I had that ended up making me so ill, I couldnt eat or drink water. Or the doctor not even bothering to actually examine me for a joint issue, diagnosing me with said issue and thenjust not giving me any instructions on how to fix the issue, no medication, no relief at all. Or maybe just now when my virtual appointment was cancelled for no apparent reason. Trinity Health does not care about their patients whatsoever. I have been seen numerous times over the years and given no answers and no relief, not even testing for any of the issues I have dealt with for years. Ive had my issues blamed on my weight, my lack of stretching and my diet when none of those things have anythign to do with what Im dealing with. Even in searching for other practices in the area that can fit my needs, Im damn near terrified to speak with another health professional because I was treated with such disrespect and made to feel that my health does not matter to anyone. No one should ever have to deal with things myself and other former patients have dealt with over the years.

Disclaimer: This review is towards Physiatry only. I use riverbend for every other medical issue I’ve had and every other department has been great.I’ve been having back issues since 2015. There have been MRIs that show that I have bulging and slightly herniated discs in my neck. I have seen two different physiatry doctors with riverbend. The first, Dr.Bernal tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with my back and so I refused to see her again because there is physical documentation stating otherwise. I went back to primary care and was then referred over to Dr.Chappelle. This guy is only in it for the money and doesn’t care about his patients. He sent me for a cortisone shot to try and relieve the pain I was having. I went and not even a week later, my pain was worse than before I got the shot. The doctors kept telling me to wait it out. I called before the holidays and had told them my pain was worse and they just told me to switch from tylonel to motrin or aleeve and if things didn’t change, to call back. Things hadn’t changed so I called back. Only this time, I started to get really bad nose bleeds daily for the last 4 days. So when I called, the lady wanted me to go in urgently. They called at 10:45 and said there was a cancellation for 11:15am and if I could make it, then I can have that appointment and so I got ready and left. When I got there, Dr Chapelle came in the room and had me describe what was going on. I had told him my pain was worse and his response was “hmm..that’s weird” as if he didn’t believe what I was saying. I also told him I was starting to get nosebleeds and I’ve only had one other in my entire life which was when I was a kid so that was weird to me. Then we started to talk about my options for my pain and his exact response was “well i’m not giving you surgery, so you can either live with the pain or do another cortisone shot”. So you’re denying me my absolute last option for what reason? So you get paid more from my insurance? I told him I didn’t want to do another shot as it made my pain worse and I felt like he wasn’t helping me. He then got offended by this and starting arguing with me like a child. To the end result, he said he won’t be seeing me anymore and I should contact my primary care. How professional. Will be taking my medical questions to a different doctor who isn’t just in it for the money and will actually get me help.

My 92 year old mother has been a patient here for over 20 years and I have to agree with some of the other reviewers on here. When the facility was known as Riverbend the quality of care was exceptional. Sadly, since Trinity took over we have seen the care deteriorate along with their business practices. My mother received a call a week ago that she needed to reschedule her upcoming appointment at the doctors request. Ive called them multiple times in the past week only to be put on hold for up to an hour. Im so frustrated that Im going to go over there directly in order to deal with a live person. I get my care at a competing facility in the area and I recently had to call my doctors office. They answered the phone on the second ring on my first attempt at calling them. If my mother wasnt with her doctor for as long as she has been over there I would move her. Shame on the administration of Trinity Health. They market themselves with lots of glitz and glamour but in the end there is no substance.

They dont answer their phones, return calls, have any way to get medical records if you leave and have thrown out medical records several times as well. Theyve also overcharged people hundreds of dollars and if you dont catch it, theyll just keep sending you bills for what youve already paid for.And this is all just what they did to only me and 1 family member, though nowhere near the entire list.Years of mismanagement means you should go somewhere else or either get no treatment or pay thousands more than you should and still not even have any records of treating or answers. Their specialists also know less than the average boy scout and have told me in person that broken bones dont exist and all ailments are unsolvable mysteries so you shouldnt eat anything spicy or any fruits ever. Both are actual quotes from separate doctors from just this location.Theyve changed their name but Ive still been dealing with them enough to warrant another review which is much worse than their original since they somehow got even worse.

Were expecting our first born this September. Ive attended my wifes appointments as her interpreter in the past, and in our experince weve had issues with my attendance due to the pandemic but in the end was allowed to enter. All the other departments in this Chicopee branch, additionally, several other branches weve been to including Springfield, and, westfield have always allowed me to enter for purpose of interpretation as mentioned before but the specialist we had arranged an appointment with had rudely refused to allow me to be present and had insisted on using the interpreter service that they typically can provide but never actually offered before. In fact I had opted to use this service in the past here at the Chicopee location and many others, each time I inquired to use the following service the staff involved had a negative reaction and at one point even going as far as refusing to use the interpreter service they provide, and in their own words having said it was too tedious of a task and actually allowed me to be present for the appointment.

Then, of course there’s the 15 minute wait after you’re checked into a room to see a physician. They’ve overbooked and taken on too many patients. The lab has a line out the door, and everything/everyone seems rushed here.Update: the reschedules for the OB department are insane. You’ll wait a month to be seen and end up being cancelled on the day before or day of. When you are seen, you’ll be set up with a random person. I have been going here for a while now. Ever since I was a kid actually my mom has been bringing me here and I’ve never had a problem with it until I became the age to go in with my mom in the waiting room. Once I started going in by myself I noticed that the doctors became more quick tempered and annoyed when I would come in and tell them what was wrong. They didn’t bother to listen to what I said I was feeling and instead would just tell me this is what’s wrong and that’s that. Normally I wouldn’t leave a 2 star review just from that but from my experience today I’m not sure if I want to go back. I went in today for some appetite problems and when I explained what was wrong to the doctor (I’m pretty sure her name was Suzanne or something like that) she discredited how I felt and said that I felt some other way. I kept insisting that that’s not what I was feeling and that this is what has been going on but she just kept ignoring everything I said. I got prescribed two different medications for things I didn’t go in for. It was overall the worst experience I’ve had with any type of doctor and has really changed my opinion on this clinic. This was going to be a one star review but everything else when I go in is fine. I never wait too long and the receptionist are really friendly.

I decided to give this facility another chance after having left before because it was horrible for me in the past, but I am quickly realizing that its a mistake! 1. I went to the specialist and she and I looked at the X-Ray and in two seconds she and I both saw that it was ridiculously obvious I need a major surgery. Obviously the person reading the X-Ray is either incompetent or didnt bother to actually look at it at all. 2. My PCP recently got some test results back on me and left me a voicemail requesting I call her back. We played phone tag a few times and eventually she left me a voicemail saying if I had questions I needed to make an appointment. I NEVER had any questions. I called by HER instructions and even she was confused as to why I was calling even though SHE asked me to call HER including in a letter she sent to me at home!!! Still waiting to hear from the physical therapist I was referred to... in December. They were able to send me the bill for the visit, though. As someone with a kidney disease, I thought I should see a kidney specialist (partly because I was hospitalized and the ER dr was shocked that I didnt have one) and had to fight tooth and nail to be ALLOWED by these people to see someone in their network! When I first called about seeing a nephrologist I was told theyd talk to a nurse. Then the nurse called me back and said my kidney function is fine... ADPKD is a progressive disease that will end up in transplant or dialysis a lot quicker if not taken care of. They were having me get an MRI and a CT scan every year! Then they would tell me it could be cancer... every year. The nephrologist I was finally allowed to see said that is WAY too much radiation to subject someone too, and typically all thats needed is a yearly ultrasound. If you call for any reason, I hope you have a good 15-20 mins to spare, because itll take them at least 10 to answer the phone. Constantly have to prove things to him I knew i had a uti and kept telling me i dont have one ended up in ER then admitted for a week with iv antibiotics because the infection was so bad then home with a pic line for another10 days of iv antibiotics ... I do love that everything is under one roof and close to home but very tired of having to prove things fine and time again . I have been in my body 50 years i think i know it better than anyone.

Seek care elsewhere !!! This place is horrible. Rude nurses. Lazy doctors leave early and don’t call back. All they want is your money !!! Place is garbage and do not care about your health whatsoever. If you want to throw money away , call and make an apt.

Terrible!!! After 30+ years I left. Doctors don’t care anymore all they are interested in is $$. Had a reaction to a med and was told sorry the doctor is out till Monday call then. Asked if another doctor could give me a different antibiotic called in to the pharmacy. Nope wait till Monday. My dogs veterinarian treats them better.

Horribly Disappointed Since Trinity Switch! I have been going to Riverbend in Chicopee/Westfield since 2007 and I am now seeking a new provider. I love my Doctor but can not handle the facility. I was extremely sick, called and waiting on the line for 20 minutes before someone even answered and they were booked completely in two facilities and couldnt fit me in the same day. I booked the appointment for the next day was seen and prescribed medication. I took everything as instructed and had bad reaction. I call to speak to a PA or a Nurse and I had to call back 1.5 hours later to ask why no one had called me back. They took a message and I waited for 45 additional minutes before calling again to ask to speak to a nurse. I finally get a nurse on the line after waiting OVER 2 HOURS and she told me to go to the ER which was not necessary. I felt like I was being brushed off and sent to the ER because they did not want to handle what was happening. Not sure what is happening but the change to Trinity has diminished their patient care.I am giving them 2 stars simply because their doctors and PA are still great providers. Good luck getting a hold of anyone though!

I dont normally review places. However this place has screwed me one too many times. 1. Injured my back in November 2017. After PT and a recovery to about 80%, I reinjured myself Nov 2018 and immediately went to Trinity to get assistance. Told them I want to bypass PT again and get a surgical consult this was 4JAN2019.2 weeks later a get a call that I had an appointment with an allergist (WTF!!). I cancel that and again request a surgical consult.February comes to a close (by this point I am calling multiple times a week). In March I call and find out that the office never submitted my original surgical consult request. I lose it.They submit the request immediately. April rolls around and no updates. So I call again and am informed that because the Doctor they submitted the request to was not in my network, insurance denied it and they just stopped working the issue.I then take this bull by the horns and identify a surgeon, called my insurance company and got a consult less than 10 days later. Surgery was slotted for 14 days after the consult. Until Trinity decided to inform me that because I missed a pre-OP physical I must cancel surgery. I informed them that I had my blood work completed, what else is required. To which the nurse stated you recieved a packet in the mail weeks ago detailing what this physical was. I informed her that I did not, she said I did. I then said maam my wife called me at work to let me know I recieved mail from Trinity last night. I spent the night at my job. My surgical consult took place less than 14 days ago. So if you are expecting me to magic the contents of mail recieved last night into my mind here at work, we have a problem. If that mail detailed what was going to occur at this appointment, someone should have called with this short flash to bang. You are lying to me. So how can we fix this. She replied You fix it by rescheduling your surgery. And hung up on me. I am done with this place.

My doctor isnt very helpful . . . She hates giving out any prescriptions! She just repeats exactly what her nurse did before she came in the room. Always pushing cholesterol lowering medicatipn when mine is only a couple points high. I told her that I will NEVER take it but she pushes it all the time. I would rather see a PA!! The stars are for the XRay techs. They are GREAT!!!

My dr is wonderful, she is the only reason I stay since it’s been become Trinity Health Care. . Since Mercy has taken over pt’s needs are no longer a priority. Specialties are being combined to other Mercy providers in different locations. Now you have to run all over for care. Allergies are in one building in Agawam, dermatology in another section of town I. agawam. Pulmonologist has been combined with a practice in a Spfld. Trinity doesn’t care about what’s best for pt’s. It all about filling up existing buildings they bought. It was so much better when it was owned and run by a RiverBend drs.

Always takes multiple appointments to get the treatment I need. Am going for sleeping pills, already on appointment 3 wish me luck. My personal high score is 7 when I was a kid I had these bubbles all over my fingers and they where very itchy. So they said am a itchy kid so it must be poison ivy without even looking at my fingers, most the time. The times they did they gave me the cream, witch dose work but only in mild cases but it took so long it became so bad the cream was ineffective. Only on the 7th time they did their job.

I was referred to Dr. Mullen by a close friend after my daughter was born, first few check ups went fine until I received a bill in the mail which to my surprise was not covered by my insurance. After speaking to several Riverbend employees we found out that our very first wellness check was coded incorrectly as a SICK visit. Once this was discovered and I called to have this issue resolved, everyones attitudes began to change. We spoke to Dr. Mullen directly who stated not that she couldnt correct her notes that she WOULD NOT correct her notes. We sent an appeal letter to the head of the department who immediately denied our appeal and sent us an additional bill for being late on the initial statement, which was the pediatricians mistake. Thats correct we had to pay for a mistake made by the pediatrician who refused to help fix this. I will tell anyone who will listen my experience and Riverbend will never see my return business. Congratulations on your first one star review Dr. Mullen.

Nastiest billing department ever. If they dont get their money right away, they threaten you. The MDs feel that they can impose personal beliefs on their patients. They were not supportive of some of my concerns. The MA that works with them is very young and not as skilled as he should be. Disappointing at best. Its nice to have so many medical options in one place and access to my information on line, but as a middle aged professional, I am highly offended at how they treat everyone like a deadbeat lowlife. When I expressed my concerns with the physician, he dismissed it as part of the bigger machine and policy. People dont matter in this medical facility...only the almightly dollar and their policies. I no longer recommend this facility to any of my own patients.

I have had some of the worst encounters with their on call nurses and service in general. I am 33 weeks pregnant and called in on a Sunday with back pain, spotting, cramping and contractions. I was told to call back on Monday to let them know if I was still experiencing the same symptoms. I called back on Monday with the same symptoms but feeling worse. I was expecting to schedule an appointment to get checked. Instead, a nurse named Kristine explained that my symptoms were consistent with the UTI they THINK they found in my last urine test the previous week. They prescribed me an antibiotic, that I was told to take even though my test results were not in. She went ahead to rudely tell me that if I’m in pain I can just go to the hospital. Do they not reserve emergency appointments for pregnant patients? Well, I received my test results and they were negative for UTI, no one has called to inform me that I should stop taking an unnecessary antibiotic. No one has followed up to see how I am doing. I believe that they do not take the best precautions when it comes to their pregnant patients. I have yet to receive any vaginal examinations to see if I’ve dilated, you’d think they would with all the symptoms I am continuing to experience. They never have appointments available but will call you multiple times to reschedule or change your provider. I work in the medical field, and I would never treat an emergency patient the way I was treated. They will make you feel as if your symptoms are not that “big of a deal” and brush them off. My sister had the same experience, and unfortunately ended up having an emergency c-section because none of her symptoms were taken into consideration from the very beginning. If you’re pregnant, you’re better off at Baystate!

Whoever Jillian is that answers the phone for adult medicine is a breath of fresh air. After calling the Westfield office, and Agawam office and basically told to go kick rocks, I desperately called Chicopee and Jillian was not only able to solve my problem, she went above and beyond. She is an asset to your company and I wish I knew her last name to shout it from the mountain tops.

I have been seen for the same stomach issues numerous times. Went in on Monday 9/25/2017 in so much pain asking for a emergency ultra sound or colonoscopy because nothing has been done previously. I had took it upon myself to see a kidney specialist and and my Obgyn to make sure I was clear ckesr of any kidney stones or ovarian cyst just incase they would say it was that before going and I told them to call them. They sent me for blood work and said they would call me the next day to tell me the results and to give me something for this pain of which I never ask for anything for pain. I seen Jennifer Alex I have called twice and none has even called back to see if I am ok or to give me anything for the pain I have been in. I have been struggling going to work everyday barling making it had to leave today because the Motrin is not touching this pain and they dont even have the decency to call back. Worst place I have ever been the worst treatment ever. They treat everyone as if you are junkies begging for pain meds when my medical records show I never go to the doctors unless Im really sick or in pain. I will be pulling my medical records and the reporting them!!!!
