Dr. Weil Jr is wonderful. He is the most knowledgable, kind and compassionate Dr. Ive ever encountered. From the moment i met with him, i felt the warmth of Dr. Weil, but to take time out even on weekends, and respond to my questions is amazing! I am on the mend because of this wonderful doctor. You truly are the best Dr. Weil! Thank you for everything you do!

Love Dr. Baker and Takeshia! I had a visit this week and the entire appointment went great: quick check-in, no wait - Takeshia actually had to wait on me to finish paperwork to escort me to my room, Dr. Baker came in 3-5 min later. The office looks amazing, very clean. Highly recommend Dr. Baker and the Weil institute.

I just left this office after spending over an hour just waiting to be seen by Dr. Baker. The office is run down, the staff is incredibly unpolished (my medical assistant smelled heavily of cigarettes and kept her air pods in her ears). I arrived early as a new patient as requested, and proceeded to wait over an hour to be seen. I heard Dr. Baker in other exam rooms seeing two other patients starting at my appointment time. I will be taking my business elsewhere and am waiting for my co-pay refund. The only pleasant experience was Ron at the front desk. Go elsewhere!

Why is it so hard to get an appointment. When I have them call me back it is just music for 10 minutes. How can I speak with a live person? I am trying to give you my business and you are making it very hard.

One star because the podiatrists Ive seen there are delightful, even if mistakes were made. The rest of this company is downright awful.tl;dr: RUN, do not walk, in the opposite direction. HORRIBLE company.About a year and a half ago I developed metatarsalgia (very minor foot condition that can be solved with orthotics and stretching). Ive spent the last 1.5 *years* trying to get orthotics with Weil. I havent been able to run for 1.5 years.I went to the location on Halsted first. X-rays, diagnosis, set up orthotics with foot scanning. I kept calling back to get the orthotics ordered and for some reason never got a call back. Gave up.Still need orthotics, still exercising daily with the wrong support. Tried again, this time with the LaSalle location. Another doc, another set of x-rays, another foot scan ($$$). I was told they switched systems and my old info was lost.I was so excited to *finally* get my orthotics! I showed up, waited, waited, and was shown the wrong orthotics with no metatarsalgia support. The doc was so jarred by my extremely high arches that she forgot the entire reason I was in her office and ordered the wrong orthotics. Frustrating but whatever, she said shed put a rush on getting them altered and Ive have them in a week. This was 2/13 (today is 4/23).Fast forward another few weeks and I call about the orthotics and they werent even ordered. Called several more times and only 1-2 of these calls were documented. Another two weeks later I got a call that they are finally in and I can pick them up at the LaSalle location.I called a week later (Im very busy with work) and let the call center know to alert the LaSalle location that my husband would be stopping by to pick them up. The call center called the rude gentleman at the front desk who said no. I said hes coming and someone is giving my already-paid-for orthotics. He showed up and was refused.Since then Ive called the call center no less than six more times, none of which were documented (I always ask first thing what the most recent documentation is in my record). Ive been lied to by folks there over and over, that the supervisor of the LaSalle location will call me (lie), that the doc will call me (lie), etc.All I want is to pick these up. Stop trying to get me to make an appointment for this just so you can charge me another $60 co-pay. Its disgusting. Its been a year and a half, two full sets of x-rays, two sets of foot scans, and a ton of my time and money (and insurance) wasted. This is no way to run a business.*UPDATE*I wrote the above while on hold with their call center. I stupidly thought that the almost immediate calls I got (one from the doctor, the other from a C-suite executive, where responses to my call) were in response to a phone call finally resulting in something happening (lets all laugh together). As a general rule I dont write bad reviews for organizations but in this case its the only reason my issue was immediate resolves, and with many apologies. Not sure I learned the right lesson here.. but I have my orthotics!

Firstly, I received a bunionectomy from Dr. Adam Fleischer in March 2019. Now, in October 2020, I have to get corrective surgery on the foot in order to remove a surgical screw that has come loose at the surgery site. Secondly, the process of obtaining the operative report, or requesting medical records from Weil. Whats worrying to me is that Weil did not retain the operative report. However, this is to my benefit as they offer a minimum of 30 business days to return records, or $25 if youd like to expedite. The first request is free, but from there they will charge you a rate of $1.05 per page for the first 25 and then less from there. I say to my benefit as not only is the hospital where I received the surgery (Advocate Illinois Masonic) able to commit to a minimum of 5-14 business days, there is no mention of fees. In the information age I find Weils process unacceptable.

Dr Jeff Baker is terrific. Explains everything simply and carefully for patients to understand. He is very knowledgeable, thoughtful and works with the patient to determine the course of treatment. The office staff is pleasant and very efficient. I highly recommend this practice and Dr Baker to anyone needing a podiatrist !!

Dr does not care about anything except charging the insurance for whatever they can. Check your bill. There will be charges on there that have nothing to do with whatever issue you went in for. Dr. Bilal Siddiqui also has no clue what he is doing. My issue got worse because of him. Go see any other DR before coming here.

I initially saw Dr. Baker to get a second opinion on an ongoing foot injury and potential surgery, and after the first visit, I had switched to make him my primary doctor. Dr. Baker was so helpful, and did a great job of fully explaining the injury, the surgery, and healing process. He made himself readily available if I ever had questions, and I never had an issue with having to wait a great deal of time to schedule appointments. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting Weil Foot and Ankle and seeing Dr. Baker.

Miserable. The custom orthodic insoles I purchased didnt fit correctly. So I had come back for multiple adjustments... each costing another $50 co-pay. I asked them to waive the adjustment cost to no avail. Pretty good business model... sell faulty product... charge customer to fix faulty product.

I am posting this review in order to warn others about utilizing this clinic and to do their research carefully. I went to the clinic because I was having serious pain in both feet. The first thing I noticed was the rude manner in which I was received by the receptionist. Then the paperwork I received included a screening for PAD peripheral arterial disease. At the time, a red flag went up. Why is a Podiatrist screening every patient that comes in for this disease when that’s not what they treat. I’ll cut to the chase- of course when I saw the doctor. I was told I needed a PAD- Abi test. After scheduling I was told their technicians were certified to give the test. On the day of the test I find out the person is not certified had only done the test 5 times previously and she was unable to identify any ways the procedures performed could influence the accuracy of the test accept my tolerance of the cuffs. During the test the cuffs were falling off and popping off and the technician reattached the cuffs many times and didnt have me lying fully flat on the exam table. Later I find out your not to drink coffee before the test of which I had consumed 16oz worth. I was not informed beforehand. When I returned to the doctor and told him of my foot concerns he told me to go to the store and get some Dr. Scholls. I found that to be absurd considering I have diabetes and my pain is 8 /10. I had informed him that my feet were very hard and the usual flexibility was absent. He didn’t even check the flexibility physically he just informed me it is age related. Never mind it was a rapid onset within the last two months not over time. After discussing the errors in administering the test He then gave me a referral to retake the test at my hospital of choice and said I should follow up with him. Why would a doctor who believes the positive results of your test tell you to follow up with him when he doesn’t treat the disease in question? Why wouldn’t he send you to your primary to review and decide if a next step is needed? I don’t think he realized that I am aware of their attempts to pad the bill with their screening and a follow up not needed. I walked out and promptly through that referral in the trash. Yes, I will not be returning to Dr. Alianello or any other at the Weil institute and I recommend that you don’t make an appointment either. 11/29/2019 update I had the test through my primary doctor and The test results were normal when the test procedures were preformed properly. The 1 star was necessary in order to write this review

I had foot problems for 3 years. I went to a series of doctors at prestigious locations like Northwestern and had MRIs and X rays done. Nothing helped. Then Dr. Baker diagnosed me with a plantar plate injury and performed surgery on my bunions. I was able to walk in a week and full recovery (where I could jump and pivot without thinking about it) took about a year. I also have inserts in my shoes so that my feet strike differently. I was originally skeptical of podiatrists and was told to see doctors (which I did) but it turns out that Dr. Baker was the only one who actually helped me and it was life-transforming. I am a massive supporter. BTW they dont do the surgery in this location - it is done in a larger facility in the suburbs. This is where they meet patients and do consultations.

Couldnt be happier with my experience. Dr Baker was excellent, always explaining every step of the treatment. Great bedside manner and really friendly staff. Shockwave therapy ended up being the right treatment to end an almost 2 year long battle with plantar fasciitis. Highly recommended.

I took my young teenager to ask if they could destroy the matrix of the toenail bed permanently on the sides to avoid ingrown toenails. I had this done myself many years ago and it was painless, uneventful and I walked out when done. I was told it could be done. The dr stuck huge needles in my sons feet to inject something to blow them up. It was extremely painful and horrible to watch. Nothing close to what I had done. He then did his quack procedure and my son couldnt walk or wear shoes for over a week. The swelling didnt go away and heal for about 6 months. I went back there to complain then the dr informed me the procedure was only temporary and there is another procedure to permanently destroy the matrix, which was what I asked in the beginning and was told I was getting. He took a lot of my money, caused extreme suffering for a temporary solution!

Went in because of a small white dot on my foot that caused pain when I walked. The doctor said that the dot was nothing but it was most likely a problem with my metatarsals and recommended custom orthotics and new shoes to fix the problem ($400+ not covered by insurance). I went to Lakeview Dermatology for a second opinion and they identified the dot as an early-stage plantar wart. It was treated in a few visits and the pain is completely gone. I have no idea what the doctor at Weil was doing but would highly recommend verifying anything they say with another opinion.
