Wonderful experience. Theyre currently treating my sleep apnea through surgery and allergy therapy. Im Two weeks out from a corrective procedure and Ive never had such clear breathing. Excellent staff as well. Dr. Freidman is amazing.

Balloon sinuplasty went great! Dr. Friedman could probably do this procedure with a blindfold and one arm tied behind his back! Staff is very nice and helpful.

This guy is a scam artist. He will make you come to his office, send you for unnecessary scans and perform unnecessary surgeries aswell.

Dr. Michael Friedman is one of the best. The first time I met him and he talked about Jesus I knew that he was God sent. I had to have my Thyroid removed and I was Blessed with Dr. Friedman and staff. They were like family, I Love there sense of humor, compassion, and caring spirits. Ive never been to such an efficiently run medical office. This alone made my experience great, right out of the gate.Dr. Friedman is gentle, kind, very good at his profession. Felt a need to write a review when I saw all of these one-star reviews. I received surgery from Dr. Friedman almost two years ago to correct my deviated septum. I was given an allergy test, CT scan, and went through a few other procedures first. I found the process very thorough and it helped put me at ease, as this was my first surgery. Anyway, two years later, and my breath is much better (much less breathing through my mouth), I sleep better, and have overall experienced in improvement in my general well-being. I would definitely recommend him and have done so.

Dr. Friedman has been treating me for two decades. He embodies both world class expert medical knowledge and care as well as sensitivity and humanity in his relationship with me. I would refer anyone to him.

Dr. Friedman explained the procedure that was being done. He made sure I was comfortable during the procedure. He was friendly, he kept me calm and was a real mentch. First off the staff are very friendly and efficient. But I have to say I did not expect to be shamed by the doctor for the size of my neck. He said, Oh I can see by the size of your neck you have sleep apnea. It must be 17 inches. And so the tech measured my neck and his eyes widened and he said, OH! 19 inches! Sorry I am overweight with a hereditary thicker neck. Left with my feelings squashed.

Had a great experience. Had congestion issues and he noticed I had a deviated septum and enlarged adenoids and I had surgery to have both fixed. I breathe so much better now. And on top of that there was no swelling or bruising so he knows what hes doing.

The people were super nice! The place is clean and easy to get to. They even had the size bottle and kind of water I was looking for. This location is a better fit for me since I live in Rogers Park. And I always love to see and talk to Dr. Freeman!

Had a saliva gland infection. Very painful and chronic. They got me in quickly and Dr. Friedman and his crew were fantastic! Cant recommend these folks enough.

I was so happy I found this office! The staff is great and friendly. I did wait a little longer that I would’ve wanted, but I also walked in a few minutes late. The Doctor is very friendly and allows you to ask questions. He takes time to get to know you and make sure you leave feeling assured that you’re in good hands. I also used Zocdoc to book my appointment and was able to do everything easy and quick!

SCAM !!!!!!!! They have you sign off on things in your initial paperwork, that they never speak to you in person about. I was in the Drs room not even 2 mins, when he stuck a camera up my nose (WITH NO NUMBING AGENT - HURT LIKE HELL!!!!! & Never saw it sterilized!! ), and then charged my insurance company nearly $1000 for it! Never told me what it was for, never explained that I would have to pay for it! I called the billing dept to complain, and they said The Doctor can do whatever he sees fit - NO LADY! THIS IS MY BODY! AND MY MONEY! You have to ASK! - Then, I called the actual Doctors Office, where the woman proceeded to explain to me that a nurse had come in the room to give me a numbing agent - HUH? I was THERE! I know what happened!! She said you signed off on it in your packet. This is such a disgusting way to do business ! Absolute SCAM! BE aware!!!!

I had an appointment with Dr. Friedman and it definitely wasnt an environment with hospitality in mind. His nurses laughed at my comments, and the whole appointment seemed like I was in an assembly line of patients. He has his own private ct scanner and ordered me to have one which was completely unnecessary. I think he could care less since he gets the hefty paycheck and Ill get doused in radiation (Im 19). Definitely question him if it is necessary to do a ct scan if you have a child or are an adolescent. Thought my experience would be COMPLETELY different based on this guys certificates all over the wall and online.

Incredibly efficient team based office practice to streamline everyone’s time

Dr. Friedman has been my ENT for over 25 yrs. he provides me with good care questions are always answered.

I went to go see Dr. Friedman for issues with breathing through my nose. 3 appointments. All bad experiences. The 1st was the only time i met Dr. Friedman. He was in the room for 5 min tops with a bunch of minions following him around probably to help boost his ego. No time for questions. Very cold experience. I had concerns about the procedure so a i asked to sit with him for a minute at the end of my appointment so i can ask questions. When he met with me he seemed very bothered by it. Rude to a point. He recommends the same procedure for everyone. Its probably the only thing he know how to do. He will, however, put you through all the paces to rack up your bill. The only thing that was accomplished by my visitations to Dr.friedmans office was me contributing to his salary. Waste of time and bigger waste of money. Definitely go to him if you like giving your money away.

I went in for snoring. I met with Dr. Friedman, who was very nice, for a total of about 15 minutes. He shoved a camera up my nose, asked me some questions, then basically said unless you do a sleep study, I cant really tell you much. BTW, the sleep studies are about $1,000 bucks, with insurance, which I passed on. Well, I just checked my insurance claims, which are in-network, and Im going to owe roughly $550 for this visit. They billed insurance over $750! That breaks down to about $1,500 an hour to visit him. It was useless and expensive, I guess thats how you afford an office on Michigan avenue. Would not recommend, and would never go back.

Be careful, they like to run up your bill here. I went in for ringing in my ear. Before any real options were discussed or what cost might come of these tests they racked up a $1200 bill (before insurance) on the first day! It didnt seem like the tests were anything too technical, some hearing tests and looking down my throat and nose with a camera. They concluded that in order to really see anything they would need a CT scan. Having faith in a medical professional, I did. I wish I hadnt, that was almost $2000 (before insurance) and they didnt find anything! By the time I left, all they had done for me was give me some over the counter nose spray and referred me to another Doctor. What a joke.The receptionist was rather rude and unfriendly but most of the other staff was cordial.I would just end with, if you are going to have anything done here, ask a lot of questions about their plan of attack and most of all, if it can wait, RUN IT PAST YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY FIRST to see what it will cost.

Really lousy experience and I have no idea how Dr. Friedman gets any positive reviews at all. First appointment I wait an hour to be seen while a numbing agent is sent through my nose, he looks at me with a camera for 15 seconds and doesnt say anything afterwards. By the way, doesnt really introduce himself or shake my hand, which I thought was rude. Also his resident in there was silent the entire time and completely worthless. Then, I sat in a room and watched videos of surgeries that can help with snoring - which by the way one of them only worked like 40% of the time, according to the video. Charges me and my insurance company hundreds of dollars and conveniently goes, go to a sleep study. I also got X-rays which they told me were covered by my insurance plan in full but that was a lie after receiving a huge bill from them again. I actually did go to the sleep study and afterward at the next appointment Dr. Friedman didnt provide any analysis or advice other than to get surgery, which he of course highly recommended. Dont worry, they still charged me my copay and my insurance company hundreds for the minutes long, uninformative, worthless appointment. I asked follow up questions and he looked at me like I had three heads. One of the follow up questions was that if my insurance covered a mouthpiece option to help with snoring, he said probably not. I said well heck, can you at least try? He said sure -- and I never heard back. I was charged two co-pays for two appointments, and then hundreds of dollars on top, and spent a grand total of about 2 minutes with the guy. Total scam, do not waste your money and your time. I will never go back to see him or anyone at Chicago ENT. Absolutely worthless, wish I could get the money back Dr. Friedman and his staff stole from me. Worst experience Ive ever had with a doctor. Id give him and his practice an F- if I could.

I had nothing but positive experiences with Dr Friedman & his staff. I went to him for chronic sinus infections & worsening allergy symptoms. I had a very deviated septum that was making it increasingly worse. I tried chemical cauterization treatment first bc I was terrified of surgery. He told me it may or may not work; it didn’t. I went backs agreed to surgery which went super smoothly & ive never felt better! Thank you Dr Friedman! Certainly glad I didn’t read all these reviews before I was helped!

BE AWARE!! DO NOT BE TRICKED with reviews on Aetna or Zocdoc. Very bad experience.Years ago, I was told by another doctor that I have a deviated septum and I should do surgery one day. I never paid attention until now. So, on Aug 16th 2018, I went to Dr. Friedman to see whats up with my nose.I thought he is good because of his years of experience. Firstly, he will do any unnecessary test to increase your bill. He first put a camera (nasaloscopy?) in my nose (very unnecessary, I visited another doctor and he just used a mirror and looked at my CT scan results that is much more informative). Dr. Friendman then asked for CT scan and allergy test (btw, I declined to do the allergy test). After looking at my CT scan results, he came to the room after making me wait for 2 hours(!), and told me that my nose is very bad and I need a surgery. Thats all what he said!!! (Cool, but I knew from day one that I need a surgery!! I expected more information. ) Dr. Friedman didnt provide any other explanation. He didnt even mention if I have sinus or deviated septum or anything. He didnt not show me my CT scan results. He just said I should do a surgery and left me alone with a surgery coordinator.You know what is worse!? ChicagoENT itself is the second problem!I asked for my CT scan results from ChicagoENT office so I can take it to consult with another doctor. The process takes 30 days to give you a copy of your medical records (e.g. CT scan) !!! So you may need to wait 30 days to get your CT results if you decide to visit another doctor and show it to a new doctor. This is ridiculous.That being said, the costs that this doctor charged through my insurance were out of this world!So sad and unfair when a doctor makes you do many tests, makes you wait 2 hours, and provides no explanation about your condition, and just says: pick a date for surgery.

This guy is total scam. He does all unnecessary surgeries, and if you dont, he will make you pay thousands of dollars in co pay, in either sleep studies or in something else. He has opened this clinic just to make money, he has not cured anybody but spends a lot on advertising. I so regret going to him for my sleep apnea.

If youre thinking about going to this Dr, Dont. His practice is a complete scam. All they do is do unnecessary procedures and visits. I was referred there by my Dr. I come in and they automatically said i needed a scope (nose and throat checkup) done. I agreed to it and he came in and did it. He later diagnosed me with sleep apnea and i had to do a sleep study. On top of that he wanted me to do a CT Scan. A CT scan? For what? I disregarded the CT Scan ad went and did my sleep study. Called a couple of day later called his office to talk results. They booked me to come to his office again. I go but im not happy. Im waiting for him and his nurse says we need to do another scope. Thats when it dawned on me that i was working with a fraud.
