Ive been going to IBJI for over 10 years and have always had good experiences with knowledgeable surgeons here. Their physical therapy staff are especially dedicated to helping with your recovery goals both physically and emotionally. Office staff are a pleasure to work with and as they get to know you you are greeted by your first name as one of the family. I love that once you are finally finished with your therapy program, they have a large gold bell that you can ring on your way out.

Saw the Dr for intense shoulder pain. I waited over an hour and a half, got x rays, then he came to speak with me for maximum 4 minutes. based on the treatment plans he was recommending, it seemed like he hadnt even read my file before meeting with me.

Ive met the dr 4 times now. He performed a tha on me 2 weeks ago. The results are what matter. The technique he uses helps minimize painful, longer recoveries with fewer restrictions. Im very satisfied with him and would (and already have) recommended him to others.

Very caring doctor went very personal skills.Sometimes doctors I know are busy and they dont always answer your questions, but Dr. Ackerman always checks for understanding and make sure that he answers all your questions.Thank you Dr. Ackerman cant wait to run again on my new knee.

I greatly appreciated the time that Dr. Ackerman spent with me, and my partner. The Drs expertise and knowledge of the hip, helped me understand and review the cause of my pain and how an anterior hip replacement could address my years of suffering. Awesome results on my left anterior hip surgery/replacement! The Dr. also faced another challenge with my left hip replacement, that being, to match the length of my left leg with my right leg (which I had a posterior hip replacement many years ago). I recovered much quicker with my left anterior hip replacement completed by Dr Ackerman; as compared to my previous hip replacement. I am now pain free (not on pain medication any more), and no limping, and no more being hunched over. Highly recommend.

Clear communication of treatment options for my hip pain. Dr. Ackerman diagnosed the cause of my pain? was very personable and well informed, he had been highly recommended to me and if I were to have a hip replacement in the future he would be my surgeon of choice.

I just had my second totally replaced. Dr. Ackerman also did the other knee 9 months ago. I know many people that had knee replacement. My scars from the surgery are almost invisible. PT is hard as expected but I am very happy with both my surgeries.

Dr. Ackerman and his staff were always at the top of their professional commitments to me during a rather COVID prolonged process to revise/replace my hip. Always concerned with the details of the individual’s case, Dr. Ackerman’s attention to detail, comprehensive approach and conscientious, thorough follow-up was quietly remarkable. His staff follows his lead in personalized care and help. He is not a 9-5 doctor for sure, readily responding to important needs as they arise. I am so grateful that another surgeon suggested him. The doctor, assistants and staff are all quite professional and do much to assist with patient concerns and questions. All are clearly a team working together to delver an optimal treatment experience.

Dr. Ackerman truly cares about his patients. He is very conservative and only recommends surgery as a last resort. He even followed up with me after my visit just to see how I was feeling which was a nice personal touch.

Great care

This surgeon gets a big fat zero. I had to give one star or I would not be able to post this review. He is beyond arrogant, and utterly disconnected from patient centered care. He saw my Mom in the hospital, for a severe shoulder fracture. He told her that the ER should never have admitted her, to go home the next day, and come to his office 1 time per week for x-rays for 3 months. He behaved totally inappropriately during his 10 minute visit. If you ever come into contact with this doctor, I would recommend that you run for your life.

He did 2 Psoas Release surgeries for me. I had 2 total hip replacements done with another doctor. I had developed intense pain after those surgeries and it was baffling the multiple doctors that were involved. Dr Ackerman figured it out and he did 2 laparoscopic surgeries that totally fixed what was killing me.I would describe him as 100% business up front, which any good patient should be seeking. When it comes to having you explain whats going on, his attention to detail is immaculate. Its as if he hangs on to every word you say and absorbs it all in. He is very gifted in what he does and it is apparent to me that he is trying to make a difference in the medical community. I would recommend him with no hesitations to anyone.

I have had two surgeries in the past year and Ibj as well as Dr. Ackerman and his nurse joy have been amazing. The Dr listens to his patients, he is compassionate and extremely caring. My hip surgery scars are minimal. It is great up have such excellent care during hard times.

I am 50 years old in the mother of three kids under 16. When I met dr. Jeffrey Ackerman he told me I was a candidate for a double hip replacement and it has totally changed my life!My recovery has been the same as if Id had only gotten one it replaced Ive walked over a mile in less than 20 minutes and Im less than 8 weeks out from the surgery!I am virtually in no pain. Dr. Ackerman is extremely professional and he really knows his stuff I highly highly highly recommend him.
